Hayward Bait & Tackle Shop

Ever since Pastika's closed, this is where I get bait and tackle in Hayward. Friendly employees, lotsa stock of tackle, maps, etc. I have not tried the bottle shoppe which is entered by another door. My bait bought here has never disappointed.

Since renovating a few years ago, Hayward Bait and Tackle has taken over as the dominant fishing supply store in town. As a former resident and now tourist, I welcome the opportunity to shop here - always friendly and helpful.I've always had great luck with live bait here. They're great at air packing minnows to give them a fighting chance of lasting until they're in a minnow bucket alongside the boat. Good supply of anything you would need for tackle.You do have a few choices in Hayward, and this is the best.

Visited this place looking for some specific fishing items but not expecting to have them. They Had everything I was looking for and they carry high quality equipment. Staff is friendly and helpful and I am willing to bet that if they don't carry it, you don't need it! I will be back for sure.

Great selection of baits and well rounded options for Bass and Musky as well amazing costumer service extremely polite and very respectful also very knowledgeable.
