Haskell's - White Bear Lake

My friend had worked for their competitors for 20 years so I never bothered to stop in until he suggested it after fishing one day. Huge selection of craft beer and nice selection of single cans. Also tried some salted Carmel whiskey cordial which was a hit at a cookout I attended a few days later. Definitely a cool store.

Overall good experience considering it was delivered. This was the closest Haskells that had my order in stock. Within 24 hours of my order I received an email instructing the Minneapolis location to contact me when my order was available for pickup. The funny thing is, they delivered it to me. Certainly appreciated! Will order from them again.

After moving to the Northern suburbs from Roseville where Total Wine or Tierneys were my go-to stores, I thought I'd try this place because it was on the way home.I gave them 3 chances.Everyone that I have had to deal with except for one gentleman at this store made me feel that I was so very privileged to be in their establishment that customer service and common courtesy need not be followed...Kinda like the bartenders at most trendy nightclubs.Needless to say, I will gladly go somewhere else to spend my money. I sometimes spend hundreds at a time, for I am an alcohol enthusiast, but customer service is worth more than an easy errand on my part.I give 2 stars for selection, but if you dare ask if they have additional stock in back, it's like asking a random coworker to help you move out of a 4 story walk up apartment in Minneapolis during a heat wave.Good luck with that business model. Back to Total Wine or Tierneys for me.

This Haskells reminds me of a hoarders show. There is literally clutter everywhere. They have so much random stuff everywhere. The outside looks nice and inviting but upon entry you will find stacks of boxes. The disorganization kills me every time I come here. Everything is dusty and randomly placed. The checkout area is cluttered and the staff seems annoyed by your presence. The one thing this place has going for itself is that they have hard to find mixers and specialty items.

Haskell's happens to be the closest liquor store to my house, which is why I started going there. They've got an extensive beer and wine selection (probably hard alcohol too but it's not my thing so I don't know). They are also the most friendly and helpful liquor store I've ever been too. I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to libations, so if I ever want to try something new I basically just guess. Not at Haskell's though. They are great at giving recommendations, telling you about their products, and taking their time to make sure you are satisfied. I'm yet to be disappointed.

Ok so I meant to update this after last year, but upon my return visit I remembered why I fell in love with this place. They have so many wonderful and rare (well rare for a guy from Cali) at great prices. I feel like a kid in an exotic candy shop. So if it is beer or why you are looking for why would you go anywhere else?

Wow, I was led on from the start. I called this store after not being able to find Bushmills 16 anywhere else. As these were to be Christmas gifts I asked again if they could get it because I was unable to get it anywhere else. I was told they could and it would take just a few days. After the delivery date was changed several times and could not be delivered on Friday the 19th. I asked for a product of similar quality. I was told they could have it by Monday. When I called at 4:oopm today I was told that the store that was supposed to deliver it "dropped the ball" and it would not be in until tomorrow. I am extremely frustrated with the service of Haskell's. After I receive my orders I will no longer shop there.

Best selection of fine wines around. The staff is always willing to help and explain wines I'm not familiar with.
