Harold’s Chicken

Food was excellent and hot. I ordered the 6 piece wing and fries with the mild sauce on top of it. Mild sauce for those that aren't from Chicago is a savory ketchup-like sauce that goes on your wings and fries. It's kind of sweet but I've been eating it all my life so I'm used to it. It took about 25min for me to receive my order, but this is Harold's, it's to be expected. You can always place your order online ahead of time. There's nowhere to sit but I ate it in my car and it was FRESH and HOT! Check this place out if you want something different.

Yes! The hype is real! It's soooo good! I got the 2 piece white meal for $9.60, which came with fries, a slice of bread and the famous Harold sauce. So delicious and so good! I heard about all the buzz about this place, when it first opened, but the lines were too long back then, so I waited it out. Today, I walked in for take out and there was no wait time, expect for preparation. They do cook it fresh per order, so do expect to wait for that. I only waited about 10 to 15 minutes - just enough time to walk over to purchase unsweetened ice tea at the nearby Holiday Gas Station, since they only carry pop/soda drinks. Pleasant customer service :-)

I've been to the new Harold Chicken two times now, the first day was a madhouse and it was impossible to get orders without waiting for at least 2-3 hours. However, I came back and there were 8 people in front of me 15 minutes before they were set to open and I was in and out in an hour. The customer service is very good, the chicken was seasoned perfectly, and the BBQ sauce was just as I remember from other Harold's chicken locations I have visited over the years. The only problem I have is that they're so busy that you cannot call in orders, and they need a text system or something like that so people don't have to stand in the restaurant for long periods of time while waiting for their food. The benches inside only hold 6 to 7 people. I love the Harold mats on the floor and the picture on the wall giving you some history Harold has been a pillar of Chicago since 1950 and is now a part of Minnesota. I'll definitely return, it seems to get better and better each time I've visited.

The Brooklyn Park location has been open for a couple weeks now but remains busy as ever! We had a tough time finding the menu online so dropped in and ordered - my nephew and I both got combos; I ordered the catfish and wings while he ordered the gizzards and wings. There are a few benches for folks to sit on but otherwise there's just lots and lots of people leaning on the walls waiting... and waiting.. and waiting. We waited about an hour to get our food so I was expecting the most incredible food ever. I was pretty disappointed, the fries weren't seasoned and the chicken was pretty bland. My nephew said the gizzards were pretty tough but I enjoyed the catfish. The folks in the back seemed upbeat and friendly but the cashiers in the front were very cavalier and inattentive.

Food was amazing! Customer service was great, food was hot and I must admit it's the real deal! We'll be back!

It's good, not great! Still dealing with huge crowds, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

We waited over an hour for our food. It was $84 for a 24pc wings, two large fries and a cake. I will not be going back. Definitely not a wing spot, dry unseasoned wings.
