We were recommended to this spot and were thrilled to see a Jamaican restaurant on the river across from Red Wing. Cheese curds - you can't go wrong with Ellsworth cheese curds! The curds were lightly coated, making the batter crispy but not overwhelming. Unfortunately, more than one of our cheese curds also had onion in them. Pulled Pork - this was a clear winner today! The barbecue sauce and heaping portion of pork worked perfectly together on the fluffy bun. The French fries were clearly fresh cut and had the perfect combination of meatiness and crispiness. Jerk Chicken Sandwich - the chicken was well seasoned and well cooked. We never received the honey-Mayo to pair with the sandwich, which was sorely missed. When they say this sandwich is hot, we would call it Minnesota hot.We all agreed, the water had an unusual taste. This impacted the water and any soda our table had. We chose to eat outside because the internal space was incredibly loud. The property was not handicap friendly with uneven ground and a big step to go to the patio. Overall, we enjoyed the food and the space is probably a hot spot in the summer along the river.

Nothing fancy here, but the food is good, the service fine, the people pleasant. We came here because my husband had a hankering for a Friday night fish fry, and Harbor Bar's website said they did one. We sat inside. We started off with the cheese curds, which were awesome. Very light batter, the cheese perfectly hot for a pull and squeak. The sauce alongside was good, too. My husband's fish dinner was great--good amount of food. I had a jerk chicken salad. It was super-basic and yet the chicken was so flavorful, it satisfied.

Casual, biker bar vibe here down by the riverside. Not at all intimidating atmosphere during our visit. They are still recovering from the Covid closure, so we stayed outside and enjoyed the view of the river & downtown across the river. We had good service, both indoors at the bar and later at the outdoor bar. Didn't have any of the food offerings but would consider the nachos for next time.

On a hot summer day over the 4th of July weekend, this place sure was an experience! Not sure if this is normal when they aren't busy, but when we went it was a bit chaotic. We went inside and had a hard time getting food and drinks as there were not many staff available and a ton of people. But once we got drinks from the bar and food from the food truck outside, we parked in some chairs close to the water to enjoy our food and drinks. Sipping our drinks, eating great food, while listening to some live music by the river was the perfect summer day.The dirty bananas, you will not regret. A perfect summer drink (even for those of us who don't love banana)! Absolutely fantastic. We had the pork belly tacos and jerk chicken which were both full of flavor and great sized portions. The jerk chicken was packed with flavor and surprisingly wasn't too spicy! The biggest complaints were just that it was chaotic and there wasn't a host or anything to seat people outside, but some people were getting food brought to them. But we just ended up grabbing drinks from the bar and some of the food truck food. Also the tables and menus were very sticky which always bothers me.They bring workers up from Jamaica for the summer, and the culture difference was noticable in the service, but it was still plenty fine, just a bit different than what most of us Americans are used to, so it can be helpful to know that.Great drinks and food while listening to the live music, sitting by the river: a perfect summer day!

1 star for the dirty banana daiquiris. Sooo delicious! But the truth? Food was never served after a 90 minute wait. Every single table complained. The servers are totally confused and slow as molasses. We hit the road to go somewhere to actually get fed.

I'm giving you *5* stars even though we haven't visited. We are sitting on our deck across the harbor? marina? on the American Queen steamboat and immensly enjoying your music! Please keep doing what you do - I'm sure we are not the only ones enjoying!

nice out side atmosphere, but the waitress was so full of herself that she got the order wrong, brought out our beers 30 minutes after we ordered them, brought out raw food, argued with us about what we ordered and cussed at us twice. we just got the Karen, everybody else seemed very accommodating. I do think $17.99 for a chicken finger basket was way out of line tho
