Happy Hour has a bar side and a cafe side, but you can get food in the bar or drinks in the cafe side. This building is historic and started as a lunch counter with about 6 seats. It's small but outstanding food! There are pictures of the history on the wall. First visit I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. It comes with sauce on this side. It's a great sauce but the smoked meat rivals high end BBQ joints. My dinner date had a bacon cheeseburger and it was fresh, handmade, and juicy. The owner came out, chatted and had us try some meat he was prepping for street tacos the next day. It was outstanding!! We returned the next day for the tacos. It was a plate of 4 tacos with handmade corn tortillas. The skirt steak was sooooo good I'd eat it alone. It comes with beans or rice and guacamole which is also homemade. Highly recommend the food. It's worth a drive if you aren't close by. The Sunday morning buffet is second to none.

Great, small-town vibe. Food is always delicious, staff is extremely friendly, and prices are great for the area. They tend to have a DJ or karaoke on Friday nights, Saturday meat raffles, as well as dart tournaments and themed events such as "German Nights". All in all a good place to grab a drink, some food, and have a good time.

Great Place to go for lunch. They have a decent lunch buffet with a salad bar and a few hot items that change from day to day. Drink prices are reasonable. Just expect to get eyed up as you walk in the door. Very much a hole-in-the wall bar. If you are looking to hear the local gossip this would be your place to visit!

Horrible experience here. We were in town for an event with limited time. Told waitress we were in a hurry and asked how long it would take to get food. Was told "a few minutes". 35 minutes later they couldn't produce a plate of deep fried mushroom appetizers. So we asked to change the order to-go. When the 45 minute mark was reached and we noticed food arriving for the people that had arrived 15 minutes after we did, we asked for our money back because we had to go. Waitress didn't answer but ran back to kitchen to produce a plastic bag with two styrofoam containers with our order. She did apologize but we didn't have time to discuss. We grabbed our styrofoam and ran for the car. We arrived at the event at the high school with 5 minutes to spare. Lesson learned.

This is definitely a local's spot. I waited almost 20 minutes to be served at the bar my first time in, because the bartender was far more worried about the 5 local patrons that were there. (Talking, not serving). My second visit was not much better. On my third visit, I was accompanied by a local resident and the service was much better. They also have a small cafe adjoining the bar and offer weekly fish fries on Fridays.

The Happy Hour is a true local corner bar, yet a place you can bring the kids for an early dinner. They have THEE BEST 3' thick falling off the bone succulent ribs this side of anywhere no need for sauce , they have a memorable taste with or with out there sweet BBQ sauce you will not easily forget. Oh, did I mention all you can eat as well, including the salad bar. They too have an all you can eat Boasted Chicken dinner that gives gamma's a run for the money. They pour a great drink for a fare price, the prices in general are inexpensive. even coming from the Twin cities it would be worth the drive.

I love the ribs!! I went a couple of weeks ago. The waitress was courteous. The salad bar was great. I even had ribs to bring home for a second meal. My kids enjoy coming here as well and enjoy a burger in the café

Had the buffet today. Absolutely delicious. The chicken was the best I've ever had. And, the salads all seemed to be home made, just like grandma used to make. Great place to watch the Vikings game. Fun times!

Best place for dinner and a beer in town hands down. The bartenders are awesome and the Happy Cash on Monday is the stuff of legends. Can't beat the daily specials either. One of my favorite parts of Glencoe.
