Hans' Bakery

This is an oldie but a goodie. They have been around for a while. Great place for hand made donuts and coffee! Don't stop at Dunkin when you can support local! Support Hans!

Used to love this place growing up. It was dingy back then, but the donuts were always on point. It's changed hands a couple times over the years and got a makeover. I moved away from the state about 8 years ago and would always make it a point to stop in and have a donut here when I was visiting.I was recently here and everything fell flat. That will be the last time I come to this establishment. I couldn't understand why it wasn't what it was until I came here and saw all the negative reviews. The last time I was in the state, a couple years ago, must have been just before they sold it off, as it was still good then.Just another great childhood memory down the drain.

This place used to be so great and now I walked in today and EVERYTHING was EMPTY and I asked about the beehive and they only had 2 and I'm like "what happened ?" They use to have so much stuff to choose from and now it's depressing and sad to even be in there something needs to change or after all these years it's going to get shut down .

Can't really call it a bakery when they literally don't bake anything on site anymore.

Used to live in Anoka when Hans was special their beehive was a holiday tradition and most special occasions. I stopped there a couple weeks ago and it has totally changed the beehive used to be the size of dinner plate now the size of side cake plate. It was hard and crusty like it was days old. The two danish were cold and hard what a disappointment will never go back.

Great donuts and baked goods ... it is a great spot to bring your family through . Everything we had was very good .

Saw a post about Han's Bakery from a Facebook friend and it was featured in the Only In Your State article. So we made the trek to Anoka for a Sunday drive to check out the bakery. We came around 1pm and most of everything was gone. There was one famous beehive donut left so of course we had to get it. We also picked out two frosted sprinkled donuts, a chocolate old fashioned and a cherry cream cheese danish roll plus a sliced of the Princess Torte. I wanted to see how it compares with Wuollet's princess torte. We couldn't wait to try out the donuts and so we parked at a nearby park ave devoured our treats! The donuts were soft and moist with no fried grease oil smell or after taste! It was delicious. Since we ate all the single treats, we didn't have room for the beehive and so it went in the fridge for the next day. Tried the beehive the next day and the dough was hard and crispy. Not soft. I wish I had opened it on the day of to try it fresh. The almond toppings were tasty. The bavarian cream was a little too much and too sweet for me. I think the next time, we will have to go super early to try the Texas donut and other variations of the smaller beehive. It's worth the experience. A little pricey.

They are baking on-site again and everything tastes fresh! After years of stale product that was baked elsewhere, Hans is doing their own baking again. The selection was smaller, but everything tasted much better. The cake donuts were very good, so were the apple fritters. Good coffee and nice atmosphere. If you have been staying away, it might be time to give them another try.

Annoyed - their hours are not correct on Google. they do not open until 8am! I just drove across the twin cities and am giving up. Reviews all over say it is going down hill - this is one more point of how. Sad!

Incredibly sad to have tried this again under the new ownership. The restaurant was dark at 8:30 in the morning and the croissant was stale. Donuts were good but so far off the mark under the Hans name. Super disappointed I am only posting this, so the new ownership can revive what was once in amazing bakery. Pull out the recipe for the woulletts magic!
