4 stars!This was my first time at the Blaine restaurant. Our experience was just as good if not better than the Elk River location. The food was good, the service was great, and the restaurant itself is nice & modern looking. I feel the prices are reasonable too.I ordered miso soup and 4 types of tuna based sushi rolls. Everything was great and on-point. My buddy ordered a couple of appetizer type items. He really enjoyed his food too. We topped it all off with 3 flavors of mochi ice cream. Yum!I'd go back again any time.Thanks for another nice experience, Hajime!-Maxx

This is one of my favorite places to go for happy hour it's been a Blaine staple for many years. My favorite roll is the sassy roll and the eel and avocado roll. The chicken friend rice is good too . I just recently found out a couple of weeks ago they actually make ramen and have cream cheese wontons. The drinks are good too one of my favorites is the mango martini just the perfect amount of sweet. If you're looking for a stronger martini the hajime geisha is your go to. The ambiance is always great vibes and welcoming. My service I get there is always 10/10 I can't remember if I ever had a bad dinning experience

If you wanna go get all you can eat.. don't go here. This is not a place for all you can eat sushi. The service was good, very helpful and refilling water. The ambiance was alright too, it was a chill vibe, not very loud. The food was good. It could be better. The udon noodle soup was good. Many of the sushi rolls were good. The shumai was delicious, but it is super small. The chicken katsu and tonkatsu were good, they come in big portions. The unagi rice bowl was good, a good amount of eel was put into the bowl, the eel was super soft. Overall, a good place to eat for only a couple of people to try out sushi. For big family, go to an all you can eat. You'll spend about the same.

We went to Hajime for happy hour and we ordered off the happy hour menu. The pork gyozo are a bargain. price. At happy hour, the sushi assortment shown below is actually pretty decent for happy hour menu. No complaints. 4.25/5I wouldn't mind coming here for dinner sometime.

My son and I spent the day together. He loves sushi so I brought him to Hajime for the first time. I let him pick out our sushi and he suggested we get fried rice to share (which I was going to suggest as well). I figured we'd be in sync with our choices and I was right. Our server was very prompt and friendly. When we got our sushi and dug in, there were lots of "mmm" and "yum" noises. Our chicken fried rice came out soon after and that was delicious as well.

Our favorite place for chicken or shrimp fried rice and delicious sushi. Service is quick and kind. Love their yum yum sauce too. Prices are reasonable...a little bit higher than some places but you get what you pay for and this place has quality food and service.

We love Hajime! We are here about once a week and the food is so good. The happy hour is amazing

Super good sushi and nice staff. The sushi I had is definitely some of the best I've had in Minnesota.

This place is located in a strip mall and on a hungry night we stopped here. The place is brightly lit and seemed to be the local watering hole for your average collage kids. It was very loud and lots of chatter but I was mesmerized by the artistry of the chefs.The sushi was very good and tasted fresh. Some of the non raw items were not as expected but we ended up here due to the late hours. You can watch the chefs prepare meals and watch them make it all decorative for a great presentation. I was happy with the food. The menu was very large and the happy hour was great. We had lots of food and a desert for under 40 bucks per person.

The service was great. That was about it, I use to really enjoy coming here. Unfortunately the lack of cleanliness ruined my appetite! We walked in for lunch and there was a nasty smell. I'm not sure where the smell was coming from however you can clearly see by the photo that they have NEVER dust! It was so thick that I really don't know how it hasn't been addressed by anyone!
