Loose tile with mold behind it.
Mystery substance dripping down wall.
Mystery substance on trim of elevator.
Crayon on door from previous guest.
Piece of trim from beneath the kitchenette.
Disgusting... bedding was gross as you can see in the picture. If you look close you will see blood that isn't just a stain.

This hotel is conveniently located to businesses, restaurants, strip malls, markets and shopping! The community is new and growing. Rooms are spacious, clean, amenities are great, and free breakfast! It's centrally located to tourist attractions, and the interstate. We stay here annually, 7-10 days. Can't wait to go back again!

This was my second time staying here. It is very convenient to get to from the airport and had quick access to the places I was going to further south. The rooms are large with a separate bedroom and kitchenette (full size fridge and stove) and a nice big table for eating and working. I wanted to cook so the kitchenette was important.4 stars as does need a 'freshen up'. There were quite a few things broken (bathroom fan not working, tub faucet leaking, missing lightbulbs, etc) and the cleaning was not 'spotless'. It did not hinder my enjoyment but just seemed a little off. Also there were no pots at all in the kitchen and only 2 spoons and forks. Perhaps you can check out kitchen stuff from the main desk? Some other reviews complained about their beds but ours was fine. We didn't turn on the TV. It looks big. Shower was hot with tons of water and pressure.Breakfast was waffles, bagels, cream cheese, yogurt and cereal. Coffee was good and there was a selection of black and herbal tea. They left the coffee out after breakfast and it was still warm at 4pm when we checked in. I enjoyed that (I'm too picky; it was warm and still tasted good to me). Only downside was that Fox News was playing non-stop (on both TVs) and they were in 'shout' mode. Last time I was there it was Dec 2019 and they were showing normal news stuff (still Fox but normal morning news). Aug 2021, it was shout-mode even in the morning. I wish they'd had a local news station on, so I could get the weather and local news while eating downstairs.Staff were polite and prompt but I didn't need to call them for anything. Cleaning only comes in once a week (Wednesdays) but you can go to the front desk if you need anything (like towels). I didn't try out the pool. It is pretty small and shallow, which is probably a good thing if you take your kids there.Lots of restaurants nearby. We went to the pho place next door for dinner. It was great!

We reserved a 2 standard queen room. Upon arrival, we waited 10 min. At the front desk. No one was around. It was 8:30 at night. While waiting in the lobby other customers were telling us about their atrocities. Two of our teammates and families had been turned away as their prior reservation was not kept. One found dirty underwear in their room, while another had a broken bed. Another told us that they had no shades on the windows, so she had gone to Target to get a sleeping mask. Another told us to look behind the counter for the worker because when they arrived for check in, the worker was lying on the floor sleeping(in the afternoon!) Finally after calling the front desk, a worker showed up and told me my online reservation for a 2 queen room would not be honored, but they did have a 1 queen room. There would be no shades on the windows and no roll away cots for my kids. All 6 of us were expected to sleep on 1 queen and 1 pull out couch. They offered me a $25 discount. I stayed because our other team families were here and my kids wanted to be with their friends. The TV did not change channels in the bedroom. The hallway carpet was covered in what looked like sheet rock/chipped paint/construction dust. The pool and hot tub were tiny. The pool said it had a max capacity of 17, but with just 10 teens in the pool and it was more than crowded. The hot tub could fit 4 people. This was quite the disappointment all around. We will not be back. I will tell everyone I know to stay far away.

Crooks! We reserved a room for three nights. We checked in the first day, and stayed the night. We also stayed the second night. Our trip was cut short, so we checked out the morning of the third day. So, obviously we did not stay the third night. We were charged for three nights anyway. I complained, and was told that the reservation was for three nights...even though we had checked out. I have been trying to get a refund, to no avail. If you stay here, make sure you pay day-by-day in cash!!

It is hard to leave even two stars, but I am trying to express grace. The room was exactly what we imagined. Nothing special but comfortably affordable for a family of four. What was not comfortable was our bed. The wooden floor in the kitchen provided more comfort then this hard rock mimicking something that the Flintstones would have slept on. Clean towels were provided daily only because I went to the front desk to get them. The staff clearly forgot to clean our room... 3 times. The staff we're always present in the hallways-To busy to break from their conversations of race and who cleaned more rooms the day before to notice our room. The breakfast was edible. Microwaved eggs and stale muffins but at least we would not starve. We experienced both ice and snow during our stay. The staff inside were clearly unaware of the conditions since the sidewalks were not salted or cleared until after 10am each day. Is that when most people start there day? We didn't get the memo. We had hoped to relax in the hot tub but the bath water temperature was not that comforting. The two stars are for not having bed bugs and free WiFi. We will shell out the extra $20 a night for better accommodations next time.

We normally stay at another hotel but my daughter suggested GrandStay. As others noted, the bed in our Q suite was less than perfect (sagged in the middle) but I've slept in much worse. I have lots of back problems and I'd give the bed about a C+ and suggest some new beds are apparently needed. Otherwise, the check-in and housekeeping were top-notch. The breakfast was typical fare. The entire hotel looked clean and fresh. Our 5-night stay was cut short due to the national emergency (coronavirus). After only staying 1 night, we had to check out the next evening and did not get charged for the 2nd night even though we were about 8 hours past time for checkout. We appreciated this greatly and will stay here next time we visit family in Apple Valley.

We booked this hotel to be close to family and friends for a midweek trip to the cities. Upon checking in we took our usual pictures of the previous damage of the room so that we had proof in case they would try to charge us for damage (it has happened in previous stays that we weren't as prepared). I went downstairs to discuss these among others not pictured. Our room was still incomplete from a renovation. Loose and missing trim. TV was completely disconnected, furniture was half assembled. The bathroom had no ventilation, the ceiling inside the shower was cracking off. Although we informed the hotel staff, everyone we spoke to assured us that the renovation was completed and they had no idea why all these things were not completed. I was under the impression I was booking a four star hotel according to Expedia, if this is what a four star is I am disappointed. We decided to drive home instead of booking an additional night.

Booked this hotel while moving my son from his apartment, arrived on a Friday night and stayed until Tuesday. Every night I came to the hotel tired and dirty and the room hadn't been cleaned despite the sign I hung in the doorknob each morning, no towels. I had to call for towels every day and one night they said they didn't have any clean towels to give me, they were in the laundry, so I asked for hand towels and they brought me those. When I checked out I told them no one ever cleaned my room for 4 days, they said they only clean on Wednesdays. I said I wish they had told me that when I checked in; they said if I wanted my room cleaned, I should have asked. I said I would have, had I known it was necessary, as I thought the sign they provide for the doorknob was there for a reason. Seldom were there people at the desk. There was a conference there on the weekend so the pool and hot tub were unusable due to too many unsupervised, raucous children and drunken adults. The restaurant was loud and drunk with people wearing name tags from the conference. The pizza place and Caribou coffee shop across the street were great. Room was ok but not nearly as large or nice as the Grand Stays we use whenever we go to Luverne and Cambridge, MN, which have staff at the desk at all times, daily room cleaning with putting the sign on the doorknob, and no loud conferences going on. The hotel was clean. Weird, depressing paintings in the gun-metal gray rooms.

Room was not ready at 3:00 which is check in time. Went back at 4:45 and it was still not ready. Staff rudely said "I told you we were short staffed". They could've sent an email prior to check in stating the room was not ready. Pool is very small. Room did not seemed properly cleaned.. the floor was very dirty.

Bedding was absolutely disgusting! We didn't have clean sheets. Look at the picture. Blood on the sheets. Shower didn't drain.... the jetted tub had a film in it. Got out of the tub disappointed to gross sheets and bedding. We were so tired... woke up to a shower that didn't drain...
