I am from Texas. This is NOT Tex-Mex. Putting something in a taco does not make it Mexican food. With that being said the food does taste good. We ordered the chips and salsa and I think the salsa was pace alicante sauce. It also came with pico which was good but could have used lime. I got the shredded beef tacos which was actually pot roast. The tacos were tasty just not texmex. The rice and beans were good and flavored well. My daughter had a chicken quesadilla which was flavored well too. My husband had the number 3 enchiladas which had a good flavor. So not bad food just not texmex by any means

They do have odd hours and the eat in restaurant is small. Put that aside and enjoy the food! Everything we've had there is good. When eating at restaurants, I rarely stray from my usual. Not here. I change it up because I love everything I've had. From the tacos, to the roast beef burrito, also love the taco burrito. But my favorites are their hamburger enchiladas and the Cindy Nachos. Their enchiladas are big and that sauce! I could drink it, lol. The Cindy Nachos are gooey, cheesy and just plain heavenly to eat. Try the chips and salsa too, they make it homemade and have some unique flavors. They have 2 booths at our county fair, and the lines are crazy long. We usually opt to get our order to go and after years of ordering, they've not gotten it wrong yet. The staff always have a smile and that's not always easy given the tight quarters and harried pace of orders going out the door.

Friend bragged about it so we checked it. First word that comes to mind is claustrophobia. Man...other tables right next to yours. Servers walking sideways to get thru and food was nothing special at all. Find another place to eat. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Server was friendly hence two star.

Grace's served delicious food when I was growing up in Owatonna. A few decades later, their food is still top notch. Their roast beef burrito is delicious and don't miss trying Cindy"s nachos.

Not real Mexican food. Tortilla are good, but rest was less than I could make at home. Served by owner, very rude and condescending. Very strange hours and days. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Very good food great waitstaff. Owner came out and gave us chips and 6 different kinds of salsa. Husband had Chimichanga combo platter, came with rice and beans and me Taco burrito with chicken. Huge portions. Owner sent us Cindy nachos they were so good! I would come here next time I am in the area. If you want a place with a high decor atmosphere or curb appeal then this isn't for you.

Grace's is everything that epitomizes home. I've been eating here since I was little. Trust me, everything you get is homemade, love, delicious, and makes you want more. This little piece of Heaven in Owatonna will capture your taste buds and heart. Grandma Bessie's cookies and the Cindy Nachos are an Owatonna must have . The rest of the menu is a second, third, fourth, fifth, and multiple must have. Come back to home. Come back to love. Come back to Grace's.

Grace's is such a delightful experience. Skip the chain restaurant options and travel another block or two. The atmosphere is cozy, friendly, and welcoming. We enjoyed several menu options of appetizers and entrées. Would have liked a beer chaser but that was not an option. Another part of the fun was the engaging conversation. "We're not nosey, we just want to know you."We will definitely return for the tasty treats, good value, and engaging conversation. Pull-off I-35 for a worthwhile eating adventure. Ask if you can carry out a few of their salsas and homemade tortillas. Good eatin'.Daryl M.Perry, Ks headed to Hackensack Mn

I really wonder about the people that complain about Grace's, maybe they never talked to Grace while there. The food is "Tex-Mex", not authentic Mexican, says so on the door. The food is always awesome and to be able to sit and talk to Grace is a real treat. The servers are always polite, friendly & fast (yes, you too Jordan!). You will not leave this place hungry, can't be done. Stop your complaining and enjoy yourself here!
