Golden Frog Saloon

We stopped while in a motorcycle ride. It is surprising how large it is based what you see from the front. There is a good sized addition on the back and a patio behind that.The food was very good, especially the hand dipped fried things the batter was crazy light and crisp. The bartenders were great, drinks reasonable and fast. All in all a solid place to stop and enjoy oneself. We will be coming back.

With a name like Golden Frog how could I not stop? Basic bar with eating area. Had the taco salad, which was ok. Basic food at a fair price.

Stoped in last night and this was an absolute S** show! The one waitress was running her butt off while the owner chatted with everyone while drinking at the bar. At first we thought, "wow, what a friendly owner" until we realized didn't stop talking once. Disclosed way too much about her life and asked a million questions about ours. Lady...concentrate more on your poor bartender/waitress that is trying to prevent the ship from sinking! Plus please keep your young son out of the kitchen! He continuously went back and forth snacking in miscellaneous things I can only assume cane off peoples plates waiting to be served. When our food started to be delivered, one soup came out with the other 3 about 20 min later of different consistencies and taste. We could tell our bowls had been microwaved by the ring around the edge. It was good but still strange. They brought out our sandwiches next which we at that point hadn't even gotten our appetizers! We asked to cancel the apps and he brought them right out. Which obviously meant they were done and just sitting there. The apps were horrible! The prime rib sandwich was very good but not much meat on it. 2 in our party never even got their food! Also the amount of salt that was on everything was insane! Absolutely overwhelming! From ordering to receiving food was over an hour. This was by far the worst food industry experience I have ever experienced!

Update: looked it up, meat is sticky when it's rancid. Thanks for the rotten frog's legs, Golden Frog. You're a lazy and disgusting business.Came for a date with my wife, thinking this was the 'fine dining' they had titled both online and on their building. Show up and it's a bar; okay, fine, we're overdressed but that's cool. We're sat outside, place our order, and other than having our food brought to us, we were ultimately ignored by our server. We ordered a combo of appetizers and their frog legs platter. So. Much. Batter. Both plates were at least 70% batter and SO GREASY. Yes, we bought fried food, but the grease and oil were not drained before our food was plated. The frog legs objectively tasted okay, were caked in batter, and were super oily. They left a sticky coating to our hands. Drove over an hour home and promptly vomited for four hours straight. Not coming back here again, my stomach hurts something fierce.

Their food is disgusting the cooks are sweaty and and extremely rude, aswell as the severs are very rude and will not help if the food is wrong ultimately the experience is horrible!

We met my parents here for my dad's birthday as it was halfway between where we live. Unknowingly, we made reservations later in the evening close to when the kitchen would normally close. The server, cook and other staff could not have been more helpful, friendly. And welcoming. Was an absolutely amazing experience. Our server said her mom was the bartender and they made a perfect duo. Food was off the charts too. Huge servings and great food for really good price. We will surely be back.

Great restaurant. Good food and great service from one of the servers whose last day is this coming Sunday (8-20). Good luck to her in her new adventure. Bloody Mary's are great and the birthday special is pretty sweet. Nice outdoor patio too. I recommend!!

This place is one hellava hidden gem. Tips were amazing, au grautin potatoes were fabulous, great salad and Zum soup was delish! Michelle was beyond kind and funny. So lucky they were willing to take our order via phone arriving right before close! Fantastic food and spectacular service!

We have always enjoyed our past visits to The Golden Frog, but the new Lily Pad across the street is a destination for everyone this summer. Their newly renovated building is gorgeous. Many exceptional aspects- great for all ages, music, volleyball, and indoor/outdoor seating with spectacular river views. My absolute favorite is the wood-fire pizza. Our family is very picky about pizza and their wood fired pizza did not disappoint. This was one of their first weekends and the service was fantastic. Make sure you hop on The Lily Pad for a great night by the river and enjoy a tasty pizza.

We waited for 40 minutes and the wait staff didn't even ask once how they could help. Absolutely ridiculous. I have never been so disappointed in my life.
