Food is certainly underwhelming. We had steak fajitas, queso and the tostada, tamale and enchilada grande combo. The queso was THICK and by the time we were done eating our meals was not even appetizing. The fajitas were mediocre, didn't have a ton of the "fajita" flavor and some of the veggies were a bit undercooked for my liking. The steak was a good quality meat, but not super flavorful. The tostada was nothing special and neither was the enchilada, but the tamale was pretty large, maybe the largest one I've seen.. my margarita on the rocks was not cold when it got to the table and didn't have much ice in it at all. The decor is nice and it's much larger than it looks from the outside, but it doesn't really make up for the lackluster food. Our server was good, hadn't been there very long, but still had some recommendations to give. We likely won't be back based on the food experience alone.

Average to below average Mexican food - 3 stars.GOOD:1. The best thing I can say about Garibaldi's is the food is cheap. My Garibaldi's Burrito lunch meal cost less than a McDonald's #1 Big Mac Meal.2. All of our food came out freaky fast.3. The service was good. I suspect I got better than usual service because they saw me taking tons of photos for Yelp. But I can't prove it. So I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and calling it "good".4. They have a full bar.5. They're on the south end of town with plenty of parking.6. The restaurant is big - no problem getting seating.7. The décor is new, modern, and clean. Apparently, they had a major re-modeling job in the past year.NOT SO GOOD:1. The food was pretty lame. Its obvious most of this stuff comes frozen, in a can, or in a jar and it's simply dished out of a hot table and plopped on the plate...thus, the ultra-fast arrival of our "meals". In the wise words of a friend of mine who's an executive chef, this is cafeteria quality food prepared with insufficient love.2. In my humble opinion, Garibaldi's is the worst Mexican joint in New Richmond. Azul Tequila and Guac N' Roll are both light years better.3. The timing was goofy. Our appetizers came out with the main entres. Of course, this is because they're just scooping stuff up in the back kitchen. Still, better staging & timing would be appreciated.4. My drink was weak as hell and it had too much sticky sweet syrup - very amateurish . Our server (and bartender) said she had 3 years of experience at Garibaldi's. She should be better after 3 years.5. The music sucked. I don't mind Mexican music at all. But the music was pretty weird and irritating. It was like nails on a chalkboard.6. Our server was a little strange and she had some odd mannerisms. When she talked to us at the table, she slowly rocked from side to side like a caged animal at the zoo...weird. But I guess the speedy service and the frequent check-ins makes up for it.This is probably a good option for a local family that's on a budget and wanting a cheap sit down meal but is sick of fast food & pizza. As for me, I probably won't go back to this one.- Maxx

We moved to New Richmond in 2019 and this was one of the first places we ate at while we waited to finalize our house move. I thought "great we have a Mexican restaurant in town". I didn't leave with either super positive or negative attitude. Suffice to say, with COVID and Azul opening in town, we just never returned.About a month ago, I had a coupon so we decided to try it again. And the verdict is just meh. The food was just bland but it was cooked well. Salsa had almost no spice and tasted like a real thin ketchup. My margarita was just mostly ice and I couldn't taste lime or tequila. Wife had a Pina colada she said it was just okay. Only Mexican restaurant I've eaten at that only used orange cheese on the entree. And I remember the cost seemed high even with a coupon. If it was the only option in town, it would be passable but that's no longer true. With Azul Tequila in town, they better up their game to stay in business

Don't expect super authentic Mexican food. I'm not sure what was going on with the Mole' sauce but it was so sweet I wouldn't be surprised if the chocolate that is supposed to be in a mole' sauce was actually Hershey's syrup. However it wasn't horrible, just very sweet. For all I know there were Reese's peanut butter cups in it, and I do love those delicious peanut butter cups. My wife's enchiladas had cheddar cheese on them, which was odd as well. I did give two stars instead of one for their salsa, which was pretty good. Also to warn you they play some sort of Spanish rap music while you eat, not quite Reggaeton'.

Horrible service. Walked in to a whirlwind of attitude!Had the menus slapped onto the table, we had to get our own kids booster seats. How disgusting, the vibes in there were so bad I could slice it with a butter knife. Walked right out. We ate at the Taco Bell instead. Sadly because we would rather support a small business than a chain restaurant.

Garibald's is one of our favorite places to go in both Amery and New Richmond. The people are kind, dedicated, and work hard so we can enjoy a break with great food. We are grateful to have these folks & their food in our neighborhood. We are never disappointed and always leave happier than when we arrive.

Just terrible service! We came in at 8:30 pm the signs were all on, it said they closed at 9 pm. After being told to wait by the person behind the counter, we were herded to a table, where we were given tortilla chips by our waitress who took our drink order and walked off. When she came back with our drinks we asked if there was any salsa and was informed it was being made. The service was abrupt and rude, they turned the music off after we sat down and proceeded to clean up loudly mopping the floor and putting all the chairs up on the tables, apart from the ones were sat on (we were in a booth). We were out of there before the time they had on the door for closing time and still had all the open signs etc on when we left?! Food was actually not bad, shame that the service was terrible.

Beautifully remodeled and new menu since there last. We ordered the steak "El Sombrero" (pictured) and the "Banderita" (3 enchilada combo). Both entrees fresh & delicious! It was a beautiful day and we debated about eating outside on their patio but opted for inside so we could check out the remodel. 4 stars due to service - female server was more interested in being on her cell phone than serving and forgot the 1 request we did make - more salsa. I know...good help is hard to find. Totally recommend Garibaldi's for fantastic, fresh Mexican food at a very reasonable price.
