This place is so cool! Upon entering the store, to your left, you have mostly gaming products. They have board games in the back of the store and in the front of the store, they have trading card accessories. I learned that they sell single Magic the Gathering (MTG) cards, but you can search their inventory by using their kiosk. On the right side of the store, they have D&D and Warhammer stuff. Then in the back of the right side of the store contains tables for tournaments and stuff. What I also find cool was they also have fountain drink for sale. The staff member was friendly, professional, and helpful. I think the pricing is competitive with other local gaming stores in the area. Will definitely come back for more gaming needs.

I've been to Fantasy Flight many times and I always have a great time Want to play board games? This place is perfect. Even if you don't have your own, they have an entire wall of free-to-use board games like Cards Against Humanity, Settlers of Catan, Munchkin and many more. Looking to play a table-top RPG like D&D or Warhammer? The entire back section of the building is dedicated to you. But, be sure to check ahead of time because they have frequent tournaments, like what was happening the night I visited, and so you cannot use the back space. Don't be discouraged, though, there are a few tables set in the front of the store as well. But, maybe you're looking to buy a new game. FF has you covered. With an entire side wall and 5+ shelving units dedicated to games for purchase, you can get your board game needs taken care of. They even have a few on display that you can take to a table and try out.But that's not all. They even have a fully functioning kitchen so you can order food while you game. They have things like macaroni and cheese, steak stir fry, grilled cheese, berry scones and more. You can even order specialty coffee and alcohol. If you want to go somewhere for a fun night out with friends, I would highly recommend Fantasy Flight. Don't have friends that want to play board games or tabletop RPGs with you? Check their website for events!! They have weekly D&D gatherings for new players and board game nights.

This place is huge and is only planning to get bigger. Selection in games are great and prices are even better. Staff is a little awkward though. All of them kind of just looks at you like they are about to greet you but then don't. They aren't rude by any means but they seem socially awkward.

This place is an absolute gem. Abundant parking, giant selection of board games for sale, decent board game library for free play (including galaxy trucker, power grid, elysium, 7W, carcasonne, tokyo highway, etc.), abundant table space to play, and a cafe to boot. Food was well priced and pretty good. Looking forward to coming back to this place!

Updating my review of Gamezenter after a year of membership and having had a chance to try their private game space. This is still my favorite FLGS (friendly local gaming store). But I docked a star because the kitchen has really gone down hill. The menu has been trimmed down a great deal, but my main complaint is with the quality. Much more boring menu and hotdogs/brats are often not fully cooked. Last time I ordered a hot dog it was cold. Being able to order food at the kitchen has long been a big advantage of Gamezenter. Also, because they have the kitchen, they do not allow you to bring in your own food. So it is very disappointing to see the quality of the food drop. I can understand that having a large menu and more complicated dishes might not have been profitiable. But at least make sure that what you do offer is properly cooked. As for their private gaming rooms, I finally had an opportunity to look at them and rent a room. My middle-school son had has birthday party here. I rented the "Rigel" room for a full day for $125. This is their largest room with a max occupancy of 10 people. My son and his friends had a total of eight kids. They played D&D and Magic, while I played board games with some of my friends out in the main gaming area. The room has a large conference-room style desk and chairs perfect for role-playing games or large board games. There are desks with drawers on both ends of the room, useful for extra games and supplies. There is also a large LCD screen in the room if you want to use that in your game. Plenty of places to plug in laptops, charge phones, etc. They have three private gaming rooms of different sizes that run from $80 to $125 for full day rental or $35 to $70 for half-day rentals. All of the rooms are in a back section, separate from the main gaming and store areas and their is a lounge outside the gaming rooms if you want to have lunch without having to move your gaming setup in the private room. If you don't have a lot of space to host games in your home, then renting a room could make sense. For board games, I would just use the free tables in the main gaming area. But I find the noise on the main floor can make it hard to run role-playing games. When I've run TTRPGs (tabletop roleplaying games) on the main floor, I've found that after the 4-6 session I'd start losing my voice trying to talk over the din. But I suspect that the main customers of these room will be those that want throw birthday parties or other special events. I think these rooms are a great and affordable option for this. As for the membership, I decided not to renew my membership. I am away from home a lot for work and just didn't find that I was getting a lot out of my membership. I've never felt the need to reserve a table in the main game area when I wanted to play there. It is rare that there are not open tables available. Seems to get busiest in the early evening. If you come a bit earlier you are almost guaranteed to get a table. The product discounts were not much value to me as I'm not buying that frequently and the stuff I did want to buy often didn't have discount pricing available. If you play collectible card games like Magic the Gathering, and are making frequent purchases, the discounts may make the membership worth it. Similarly, if you want to rent the private rooms frequently, then the membership may be worth it. Another benefit is the members-only game library, but whenever I go to Gamezenter I generally bringing games I already own and want to play. I never borrowed a game from the game library over the past year. I'm not saying that the membership isn't worth it, it very much is worth it if you go frequently, use the game library, rent private room, and want to have the ability to reserve a table to ensure you have space to play. The discounts may also make the membership worth it. Just look at their discounts on their website to see if the products offered are those you are likely to buy. I really hate to take a star off of my review. Because this remains a great game center. Best in the Twin Cities. But they need to improve their kitchen.

Fantasy Flight is great! We've played here a few times with friends but brought our own games. I'd love to test out what they have to offer, they have a lot of games open you can choose from to play and a large shop where you can buy your own. They sell beer and other drinks and have a full kitchen and menu of food. Staff are kind and the space is always clean with plenty of seatingI highly recommend!

If you are a fan of board games this place is for you. My wife and I have come here for cheap date nights or we have brought friends and family to just get away from the house and try out a new game.We have some big board game fans in our family so it is always fun to look through their large board game library and try something new (especially if we are eyeing to buy it). Their game library usually is also sold at their store so if you love the game you are playing, you can usually pick it up the same day. Prices are comparative to a Games By James or Barnes and Nobles. There is a small cafe that serves food and drink (alcohol included) onsite which is nice, especially when you start to crave something unhealthy and deep fried or need a beer because you are getting stomped by your wife in yet another Settlers of Catan game. I have never eaten here, but it seems about what you would find at a sporting event or similar gaming venue. There seems to be always something happening at this venue, be it a tournament or gaming event. Too bad that we do not live closer as I would love to dust off my old Pokémon cards and enter a tourney! Do not worry if you are not a huge nerd or board game fanatic, this place is welcoming and open to all interests and you are more than bound to find some game that will be enjoyable.
