Freddies Restaurant & Take-Out

We rented the banquet room for a luncheon to celebrate and remember my dad, who passed away in December. We chose Mora as a general location since it's pretty much half way between Up North and The Cities. I started researching available space in the area and Mark was by far the easiest to work with and gave us the best quote. The space was perfect for what we needed, the food was outstanding, and we had the perfect level of service. We did the soup and salad buffet and people really were commenting on how good everything was- quality meats and cheeses, great soups made with fresh ingredients, and outstanding cakes. The room is nicely set up and it never felt overcrowded. I think we had about 80 people. All in all, the perfect venue for our needs. Can't say enough good things about the place, the staff, or the food. All was excellent.

The menu is huge!! I had cornedbeef, eggs and marbled toast, it was wonderful..I couldn't finish it all!! My friend had the cinnamon roll french toast it was amazing!! Prices were inexpensive. Very clean place, even the bathrooms! Would recommend breakfast for sure!!

Good diner. Needs an update on the menu. Keep it simple and flavorful. Add chicken fried chicken mashed potatoes and gravy and this place would be excellent

This is a local restaurant in a small town; nothing fancy but the food is good and the service attentive. We went in a Monday night and enjoyed the nightly special (pot roast) and breasted chicken. Both were tasty. Had breakfast here a few mornings later-also good but nothing outside of standard breakfast offering. A good solid choice when in Mora, MN.

Had no clue about this hidden gem. One of our friends took us there, after he raved about their food. We were in a breakfast mood. Amazing experience! The waitress was friendly and very accommodating. Their menu is 5 pages of food to order from. Bonus, they serve breakfast all day long. Was impressed when we pulled up as they had a Scandinavian welcome sign. My first thought Swedish pancakes. Oh yeah, they had them! They were delicious with the Lingonberries and butter. My only mistake was ordering slice of Elvis pie prior. I couldn't finish my breakfast. A must order though, banana cream with peanut butter pie to burst your taste buds. Only suggestion eat the breakfast first and take the slice of pie home for later. I wish this restaurant was closer to my house, as it would be a once a week spot for breakfast.

Freddy's was a nice touch to our hiking trip. An American restaurant with very good servers. Place looks like an ordinary restaurant but they have tried to personalize it with pictures, and stuffs. Food was good and fresh, presentation was good. We enjoyed our breakfast with an ease.I will come here again provided opportunity.

Horrible service!! Don't waste your time stopping here. There are plenty of other good restaurants in the area.

Service is slow! Went for lunch & it really wasn't that busy when we got there. Owner was wandering around telling everyone he had a new cook helping the cook that had been there 23 years, also mentioned that people were complaining about having to wait for an hour for their food but didn't ever go help out in the kitchen nor his wait staff. We waited at least an hour & 15 minutes for our food to come out while at least 4 other tables that sat down after us got their food first. Our order wasn't difficult as we ordered their specials of the day and we were only a table of 3.

In from Texas to visit my folks, etc. Reminder of the mom & pop restaurants of my youth. What Freddies may lack in high buck fanciness they make up for in friendliness, coziness, and tasty food!I got the country fried steak. It was better than the one I had on Monday in Texas! The hashbrowns with green peppers, onions, and cheese were pretty good. The pancakes were light and fluffy.I enjoyed my meal from start to finish.My mom enjoyed her Reubens and chicken dumpling soup. She even gotta quart to take home for dad.Fyi, Freddies also supports the local youth sports teams, which is great to see in today's world!

Great food and service. Cute local place with hometown feel. Prices were good. Service was good. Worth a stop if you are in the area.
