I have been wanting to try Fhima's for a while now. I had a rare night out with my three boys to see a Jim Gaffigan show at the Orpheum Theater. Walking into Fhimas I was impressed with the stylish decor. Wow!! Super impressive restaurant. We were quickly greeted and seated at a booth. Our server Will offered drinks as soon as we were seated. Fantastic craft cocktail menu. We all loved our first drinks. Most of us moved onto wines as we ordered our entrees. We allowed Will to pair our wine selections with our entrees. He did a great job.I read many reviews noting some disappointment with flavors. I eat out a lot and the Moroccan flavors were strong and delicious. This menu is focused on traditional Moroccan seasonings. I was so impressed with my seafood bouillabaisse...hot and flavorful. All four of us loved our entrees. I read concerns about timing with service...Will had us and took good care of us. I recommend Fhimas!!

I really wanted to like Fhima's, but it was a complete disaster from start to finish. First off, the ambiance was a mix of stale airand too-bright lights, which made it feel more like a waiting room than a restaurant. The service? Average was at best. The food... well, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. The seafood paella tasted like it had been sitting out for days. I ordered the Moroccan aged wagyu ribeye medium-rare, and what I got looked more like shoe leather. There are plenty of better options downtown. Don't waste your timehere.

I was conflicted as to how to review Fhima's based on a couple of mixed experiences, so I'm averaging out my experiences to a 4/5.Fhima's has an amazing atmosphere and our server throughout a recent meal with a big group was super friendly and patient. Service was great on the previous visit as well - everything went smoothly that first time in general. The decor of the entire place is amazing! For my recent visit, we were told we couldn't get a reservation for our group of 12-15 people in the main restaurant but could be seated in the lounge, which was fine, but I was surprised that the restaurant was fairly empty the entire time we were there and there seemed to be spots we could have been seated. Perhaps it was due to being understaffed for the evening. The first mishap was that my food never showed up with everyone else's, which we later found out was because it was delivered to the wrong table. We got complimentary drinks as an apology which I appreciated. The lamb cigars I had were okay, but I wouldn't order them again. I found that the spices weren't well balanced. The tagines, however, were delicious on both my visits to Fhima's. I'd recommend those for sure.Paying our bills was surprisingly chaotic. When my friend and I got up to pay our bill together, our server somehow tasked us with helping figure out everyone else's bills in the lounge area and was handing us bills to give people. This was uncomfortable and I didn't understand why we were put in this position. Also, despite reiterating what we had ordered, we still had an incorrect extra drink added to our bill and had to ask for that to be corrected. As an odd side note: when our group said our goodbyes, we noticed that multiple people smelled oddly musty and quickly identified that the unpleasant scent came from the lounge armchairs, which on second glance clearly need to be cleaned.I would personally just stick to going to the restaurant side with a small group in the future!

Fhima has been on my list to check out and it didn't disappoint! The food presentation is top notch.I had no doubt about their steak and seafood but I was really impressed by the fabulous vegetarian options. The taste of Morocco, vegan cigars and 7 seas salad are so delicious, lots of textures and flavors. I am not a carb fan but I couldn't help with the bread and pita bread. So authentic! Everyone who had wagyu steak was satisfied. The desserts are amazing. Check out the video of the crème brûlée with the sizzling discus.Comparing to many other high end restaurants in downtown, Fhima stood out by the quality and innovation of the food. Highly recommend!

Awesome drink selection! Awesome food. Awesome decor. The absinthe drink was done right! The mussel appetizer was my favorite.

If you want food that is ill prepared and service that takes hours but you still end up with soap in your drink and a half pound of cayenne in your tajine then this is the place for you.

Beautiful and ornate restaurant & bar. We sat at the bar for Social Hour and had drinks and food. Bartender was good and I tried vodka infused with horseradish, delicious as long as you like horseradish. Could only drink 1-2 though. We tried the Moroccan Sampler that was good, but small portion overall. Also tried lamb cigars (almost a Moroccan eggroll). We didn't care for this as too many strong flavors all happening at once. On the pricier spectrum, but glad we tried once.

A smaller but intriguing menu offering Italian and Moroccan influenced dishes. The interior is vast by quiet, stately with an art deco vibe. Pro tip: you can order a side of the house flatbread for a couple bucks extra and it pairs well with any dish. I found the branzino a little salty but the bread and a glass of wine from their large selection balanced the bite. Highly recommend the "Telephone Call from Istanbul" house old fashioned- this from someone who does not love old fashioned cocktails.Bar service was friendly and attentive. I noticed a few large groups dining in the larger booths and they all seemed happy.

Was really looking forward to Fhima's after hearing some great things, but our trip was extremely uninspiring.First, service was one of the slowest that I've ever experienced anywhere. From start to finish, we were left waiting; sometimes in excess of 15 minutes for a two drink order. The drinks were good, but it seems they may have ventured to Istanbul to make them. For the food, I did enjoy the lamb cigars. They are flavorful, unique, and a very well-done dish. The lamb meatball tagine, however, was underwhelming. It was lacking in size even at first glance with some minuscule meatballs tucked inside a fanciful presentation next to a similarly small serving of vegetables. Finally, the other main that we tried was the Wagyu Tenderloin... and I'm not sure it could have gone much worse as the dish was ordered "medium rare" yet came to the table with the inside entirely cold. And I'm not even talking about the center, I'm talking within one cut off the edge. This was returned to have cooked to the appropriate temperature and while the dish wasn't bad once it came back, it was well after everyone else was finished with their meal.Fhima's has a solid drink menu and even some unique food items, but with the level of service experienced, I'm not sure I'd care to venture back again.

Fabulous service and stunning ambiance here! The food was tasty, but somewhat overpriced in my opinion (specifically for vegetarian options). The vegetable tagine was tasty but not very satisfying. Lovely roasted veggies and a few scattered chickpeas, but not much to it otherwise. The Moroccan sampler platter was great and the social hour menu looked fantastic. Get a reservation and plan to pay for parking.
