Family Tradition Restaurant

Best pancakes of my life, hands down! Staff was really friendly and took great care of us. Kudos to the kitchen team! We'll be making a special trip from Minneapolis in the near future because I can't stop thing about those amazing pancakes!!

Family Tradition Restaurant is an absolute staple in Cloquet, Minnesota! The customer service is always top-notch, and the food is incredibly fresh. My go-to order is the biscuits with gravy, alongside some tasty scrambled eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Their steak and eggs are also scrumptious! Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a hearty and delicious meal. Plus a lovely ambiance

I used to love this place until the owner decided to have an attitude with me and multiple other customers. I have gone here for years and will never come back again after being yelled at. The food was cold and when I said it was cold they had a problem with me telling them that.

This is just the kind of place I like to frequent. Family owned (I presume) community oriented friendly, efficient staff with better than average food at a reasonable price. What's not to like? I had a very excellent chef salad.

I don't know what they put in their pancake batter, but they definitely have a taste of their own and are the best pancakes I have had in a long time. A family owned restaurant that hasn't changed a bit in many, many years, the food is still as wonderful as it was on our last visit and the only thing new seems to be the wait for a table. You will enjoy the warm and inviting atmosphere the family has created, with family photos lining the walls and customer service always a priority. If your looking for a home cooked meal in an atmosphere that doesn't feel like just another restaurant, this is fir you.Cheers!

Stopped in at the Family Tradition restaurant earlier this week on a gloomy day. My group was greeted by a gal who served us our coffee and some waters. She knew the table was blue collar gents and had a sense of humor to match the crowd.I had the chicken fried steak with a side of corned beef hasn. The gravy and entree was pretty solid. The chicken fried portion was flavorful and crispy, not burnt. The corned beef hash, I'm not sure I would order again. It was just not the best I have had. But it was exactly what I ordered.The check came and we paid from the table outside. Overall it was a pretty good experience.

Stopped on our way home from the BWCA. We arrived mid afternoon so got a table immediately. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had a bowl of chicken wild rice soup and it was delicious! I would order it again. One friend ordered a Reuben and said it was delicious as well. Another friend had breakfast food. We all enjoyed our meal. Good food, friendly staff and clean restaurant.

It must be an amazing restaurant. We never actually made it in to sit down. The place was packed we waited for about 20 minutes with several other people. During our wait several people left and no one was still seated. It was when 2 locals pushed their way past the line to seat them selves saying that they always have room for them that we decided to leave. If you are traveling and looking for a good sit down restaurant I would personally pass on this one.

Great local place to go for a good meal. I love the way it looks and feels when you're in there. It almost feels like an old school diner. Good food and great service!

I have only been there for breakfast a few times and every time has been amazing food and great service not to mention the place is full of memorabilia and friendly faces.Definitely a10/10
