Excelsior Dock 3

This is a really cute place and I have come with my family multiple times (before COVID). It's nice to have a cute little movie theater so close to home, but for being in such a small town it's in good shape and I felt comfortable. The staff was friendly and all the ads are local diy commercials which are fun to watch.

It's a clean and comfortable theater that doesn't smell weird. My favorite is the upstairs one, it looks like it used to be a live theater stage.

There are a couple of unique things about the Dock.First, they serve popcorn with real butter. If you don't think this is a big deal, try it and you'll realize what you have been missing out on all these years.Second, the main theatre is old school style, not stadium. Yeah, stadium makes for a better viewing experience but everytime I see a movie in the main theatre it reminds me of going to the movies as a kid.Third, the upstairs "stadium" style theatre appears to be a converted balcony. What is cool about this is that is feels like a personal screening room. There are maybe 6 rows or so of seats and you are super close but not too close.Fourth, the Dock is in Excelsior and the vibe in the summer is great. Grab a bite to eat at Jake's, shop the cool little book store, hit a movie at the Dock, and the finish it off with ice cream at Licks Unlimited.

Great theater! Greet real butter popcorn! And it's never to busy, absolutely love this theater!!!

Nice location but time for a make-over on the outside and in the lobby... Too many other nice restaurants and businesses in the area to let the place go like they have... I'll help paint...

Threw up from the popcorn twice. But, theaters are nice and workers have a good sense of humor.

Love this theater in my back yard. The main page stated it is closed on weekends. It is not! They are open everyday of the week.

The worst and most uncomfortable chairs! My neck is sore today from the chairs. The upstairs theater has a screen that's too physically short to fit the movie on. We were seeing cropped off heads the entire movie. And you can hear every word of conversations people are having downstairs in the lobby when the movies get to quiet parts. It's a cute and quaint theater but it's time for a renovation!

The Dock is classic small town theater with friendly staff, comfortable seats and outstanding butter popcorn.

This is a great little local theater with all current movies- we need to support them so we don't lose them- it would be so sad not to have a theater in downtown Excelsior- buy more gift cards!
