This is my favorite corner store, and I might be biased as it's in my neighborhood, but it's filled with great staff and tasty products. We use Everett's primarily as a meat counter, where they have great cuts and you can ask the staff any questions. They are there to help you find what you need, and they are extremely knowledgable. We usually call ahead if we are looking for a more rare cut or request. We also love the food they make and sell. Not only do they have a hot counter for fresh bbq and mac&cheese, but they make frozen goods you can heat up at home. I always get the breakfast sausage dogs or tamales, and their meat loaf or meatballs are wonderful. And if we ever forget an ingredient for a recipe, we can pop on over easily!Everett's is a great local corner shop and a staple in our household.

An over priced store masquerading as a good butcher shop. They don't butcher anything here. They just display it as such. Their smoked meats are just tried jerky. Totally avoid. Their check out clerks have no personality.

Awesome little local butcher shop and grocery in MPLS. Staff was kind, butchers helpful, and hot damn those meat sticks and turkey jerky they make are worth the trip alone. Swing across the street to Duck Duck for some coffee and you've got your day made.

Stopped in for just a few quick things while visiting from out of town. They have a nice selection of produce, local pastries, pantry items, Frozen goods and a really fantastic looking butcher and deli shop. I just grabbed a bag of oranges and some apple fritters for easy and quick breakfast at our airbnb. Store clerk was very sweet and friendly. If I lived here, this would be a go-to spot!

I've heard friends rave about this neighborhood gem-of-a-grocery-store for years but never visited until now. Friends were right. Everett's is a bright, clean, and relatively good size store that's known for its quality meats but you'll also find some hot/ready-to-eat food items such as ribs, fresh made dips, and artisan dry goods. This is definitely not your low end neighborhood grocery joint but it's also not a pretentious establishment. I was surprised that they even have baggers at the checkout stand, not necessary but a nice touch.I came in for fresh ground pork and was slightly disappointed when staff behind the meat counter said I had to look in the freezer case for that item. However, I found the ground pork still relatively soft to the touch in the freezer case, which says to me it was recently wrapped/packaged up so pretty fresh. I planned to cook the meat same day so had hoped for fresh ground pork; close enough!I also decided to try their smoked salmon dip, which staff recommended. I found it to be lacking in seasoning and not as flavorful as other smoked fish dips I've bought locally but that won't stop me from trying other deli items from Everett's in the future.I can see this being my "go to" place for higher end/fresh meats, gathering ideas for a gift basket of dried goods/artisanal snacks, and just overall wanting to support a quality local shop in the Twin Cities.

My dog loves their smoked bones. I walk out of that place and my pooch is suddenly all about my business. "Is that something for me in that brown butcher wrap?" says he with his sniffer in hyper mode and his tail wagging. "Ya gotta wait. Sit" I say as I climb back in the rig. Sure, I guess it doesn't help that I let him sniff the bone package (did I just say that?) every time but he likes the place as much as me. Me? I'm kinda about the ghost pepper sticks. "No need to wrap that I say" to the old guy behind the counter who is always friendly and helpful. "Just tell her at the cashier $1.35" is his response followed with a 'is there anything else?". Since I'm typically filled with indecision as everything looks good, I say "Nope. I'm good thank you!" and make my way out of there. But on past trips, I've had everything from the pork shoulder, sirloin, chicken, to pork chops and everything is outstanding. Sometimes they'll even have baby back ribs with a dry rub cooked and ready to go. Since it's it's by the pound, I'll grab a quarter rack and Viola! Lunch for work is done. I've even gone there and hadn't planned on getting them and will ask "Just two please" as it ends up being the perfect snack. The place is mostly a butcher shop with some veggies, cheese and other items. And for the most part, if you are gonna grill (meats and veggies) they will carry it. Just expect to pay a bit more. Meats and what not are on par price wise as you see at other places of this sort. The bone in pork shoulder I smoked up for a work event was $2.49 lb which I thought was a deal. Needless to say, the dog and I will be back.

I've been a regular customer at Everettes ever since I graduated from university-25 years ago. When I got married and had kids, I'd take my kids with me to the shop. They were known by their first name by Jack. When I'd have my folks over for dinner, my dad always would say, "that butcher of yours treats you right." Fair prices, excellent service and products have always kept me coming back.

Went there 08/20/22. It's at 38th and Cedar. Before I got out of the car someone went down 38th - about 50 miles an hour. What a great neighborhood! The meats: about the same cost of Kawasaki's. I expected home made sausage. There was hardly in the case. My opinion: If you want to get good meats, at a reasonable price, get a COSTO membership. There is absolutely reason to go here unless you live in the neighborhood and you don't have a car. However, if you live in South Minneapolis, you liberals will accept anything, just deny there are better options.
