We went there for the first time on 1/16, to celebrate my retirement. I'd read the reviews and couldn't wait to try Emmett's. I was not disappointed! We got there in time for happy hour and enjoyed tasty Guinness pints and Keeper's Heart pours, along with splitting the HH version of the colcannon croquettes, which were fabulous! (Thanks for the tip, other reviewers....)For dinner, I had the special Shepard's Pasty, accompanied by a cup of the crab chowder. Both were absolutely delicious and exceeded my expectations. My husband had the ribeye sandwich and couldn't say enough good things about it.The ambiance is lovely, the staff are top-notch--especially our server, Clea--and I'm so glad I decided to celebrate at Emmett's. I think I've found my new local :)

We had an amazing experience Sunday evening! We went in as we had a voucher for $10 off $30 and we will definitely be returning! We didn't realize Sunday has happy hour 2-close but we had an amazing surprise on our hands with cheap deals on both drinks and food. We had the speciality flatbread and croquettes and both were plated beautifully and delicious flavors! They definitely like cheese and Brussels sprouts and they do it well. The service was wonderful, our bartender was friendly and attentive. The place had gorgeous atmosphere with old supper club sort of decorations and stained glass decorations around the bar. There was a long bar available for seating and lots of low top tables available as well. We came when it was about 60% full and got great service and food came fast! Loved it!

Great little restaurant! Everyone is really friendly. The menu is full of great dishes. I love the dry rub wings as a starter. I recommend the Coconut Shrimp Salad, always solid. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich is also very good. I have been three times and it has been a good meal each time. Nice patio as well!

Went back after they reopened, since I saw that they have an "Irish Breakfast" on weekends. I love a good fry-up, and can only think of two other places in town that have them (Eagan Arms and Morrissey's on Lake Street). Like other stuff on their menu, it's their own spin on the dish. No rashers (streaky bacon instead), no black or white pudding, no grilled mushrooms or tomatoes. The beans were not Heinz, though they were tasty. Lotsa flavor. Bangers were the same. The one standout was the croquettes. A regular fry-up will have potato cakes, but these were colcannon cakes! Delicious!I don't think I'll go back for food, but the new spot is very comfortable and attractive, and would make a great stop for happy hour!

A little under-whelming menu selection. I had omelette with side of beans, wife had one of the Benedict selections. Server / service was great. Overall venue was ok - everything is shiny and new. Not a bad experience by any means - just not an unforgettably amazing experience to warrant returning anytime soon.

From the host's and bartender's friendly welcome, to the luxurious wood bar with comfy chairs, to the craft cocktails served with style, to the tasty restaurant next door, we enjoyed Emmett's top to bottom. The decor is somehow Irish and classic but also clean, light and open. The service is top-notch. The smoked old fashioned was a crowd-pleaser, as was the counseling from the bartender to all of our crew on cocktails sure to please. So easy, comfortable and inviting. I will be coming back for sure!
