We stopped in on our way back home after a hike. We were all hungry and they seated the four of us in the center of the restaurant. We ordered drinks which we got quickly. My water had kind of a chlorine taste so I switched to a Diet Coke. We got a variety of food items starting with queso and chips which were very good. Our food came quickly and it was very good. Service was quick and friendly. It's a small place and having a late lunch we were one of two sets of customers. It was clean, bright and cheerful. I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

This is not only the some of the best Mexican food in the area, it's some of the best I have ever had. INCLUDING meals I have had while in Mexico Staff is kind, attentive, and the restaurant is clean. The ONLY suggestion I would have is if the air conditioner was cooler when the restaurant is packed. But that's what a 36 oz. Cervesa is for!

The overall experience wasn't the worst it's the fact that the food was bland and when I asked for something to fix it the owner? Was offended and that's alright I wouldn't be the happiest if someone didn't like my food it's understandable but then when we got the bill there were random charges on it with no explanation and the prices charged didn't match what was listed on the menu. We mentioned this to the lady again and she "had no idea what we were talking about" so I had my partner go to an atm, we pulled out exact change, I did the math myself and paid in cash. Don't tack on $10 in random "charges" just to make more money with mediocre food.

Decided to give El Tucan in Hinkley, MN a shot yesterday. Upon arrival the area gives off a very quiet Mayberry, Andy Griffith vibe. I could dig it. Upon entry the place is very bright lime green from wall to wall, luckily I had a taste for some guacamole. A server greeted me and quickly brought me a tray of chips and salsa..... and a very small portion of some spicy ranch that was more spicy then my usual hidden valley ranch but it was delicious..... but again, I was only given a very small 1/3 filled sized portion cup of said spicy ranch. I ordered the largest burrito on the menu, the Grand Casino burrito. And after about 5 minutes this bad boy arrived, it was the size of my forearm and smothered in 2 kinds of queso..... fat boy heaven. Right? Well.... It was alright, however the steak was pretty bland, but the grilled chicken did have good flavor. The rice was pretty bland as well. No hot sauces like chalula or tobascy on the tables to kick things up a notch, and I'd say the burrito had lots of lettuce filler, breh...I was able to smash that entire burrito and without needing to pull off on the way home for quick food coma like one would expect after consuming a burrito of said proportions. With a total of almost $23 without tip for a single burrito and a fountain soda, I can definitely say I'd be more satisfied with a $10 burrito from a Chipotle. I'd give them a 3.5 or so. Not the worst I've had in MN, but definitely not the best I've had in MN.
