El Tenampa

Was in town for a doctor's appointment and was seeking out a lunch option. As Belle Plaine doesn't have any Mexican food (money making opportunity here!), I was pleased to see a place to pick up Mexican that isn't Taco Bell. This place is fairly new, I believe a Chinese restaurant used to be here...They had a buffet on offer, but most of the options were entrees not of my personal liking, so I decided to order off the menu. I was very pleased with my meal. You do get a basket of chips (plenty for one) and a salsa that wasn't too thin, nor was it too thick. The food was plated nicely and the portions were very generous. The enchiladas rojas had a ton of chicken and was nicely seasoned. Lots of sour cream and cilantro to help balance out the flavors. Actual pinto beans were served too. Definitely worth getting off 169 if you're driving between the cities and Mankato.

The only reason to go into Lesueur is to go to this restaurant. The BEST authentic home made Mexican food I've ever had. Along with very nice and cheerful staff. A very clean and kept up establishment. 11/10 I will definitely be coming back.

Very good. Seasoning was very good. We both liked what we ordered (shrimp salad, shrimp Diablo). Employees friendly and restaurant clean and.cozy.

We popped in for a quick lunch. What an experience!! Definitely authentic Mexican and Quality from apps to dessert. My husband bought some of the house salsa (green) to enjoy at home. Not on the menu but it never hurts to ask. The staff are amazing and the food is delish. There is no question they deserve my 5 stars!

Excellent Mexican food !!! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Reminded me of some of the delicious Mexican restaurants in Los Angeles and the Southwest states !
