Don Julios Mexican Rest

We had been camping for a couple weeks and just arrived to a nearby cabin for a few days. We ran to town for some groceries and just didn't want to cook. We saw this place and thought we'd stop in. So glad we did!As someone that doesn't eat meat, I was happy to see a section for vegetarians and I didn't have to order something "without meat". I ordered veggie fajitas. My son said his enchiladas were like his favorite back home and the other ordered a shrimp dish. He had a hard time figuring out how to eat it, LOL, and I'm no help, but he said it was delicious.The servings were very generous and I had another meal out of mine to heat up at home later.I had ordered a "cadillac" margarita with no salt and got a big margarita with salt. The server brought it back and another one was re-made for me. It may have been the owner behind the bar, not sure, but I was appreciative that they made a new drink and didn't pour it out over the salt into a new glass. I never understand why bartenders think that's ok if you don't want salt. He then delivered it to me personally. I'm not sure there was any grand marnier in it, but it was delicious and appreciate the service!I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area. They seem to know the regulars, treated us out of towners kindly, and it's very clean! Great food and portions too!

We had a reservation for 8 for a birthday celebration mid week. It was busy but not hectic. Our table was ready and we were seated promptly. Beside their chips and salsa as appetizers we ordered their guacamole and chorizo queso. Both were yummy. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. My husband ordered the Carne Asada and I had the Pollo Pablano. His Carne Asada was tough, over cooked, and not flavorful, He loves good Carme Asada and this was a disappointment. But the Pollo Pablano was tasty. Never had anything like it before. It was not too spicy; though I like spicy food. Also we forgot to tell them we had a birthday to celebrate and they still came and sang before we left! Lots of fun! Give it a try!

I must say that I was very disappointed with my lunch. They recently opened this location so this was my first here or any of their other locations. It is a very nice location and looks very nice inside. It was definitely well done. Lots of waiters waiting around. Seated immediately and and waited on just as fast. All's good. My disappointment was with the food. I ordered a combo of Taco, Burrito and Enchilada. Plate came very quickly as is normal in most Mexican restaurants. And that what was on the plate. It looked very plain and Very Boring. Maybe just a little salad even if it's not on the menu. BORING My main complaint was that all 3 tasted the same and that was tasteless. Hamburger had no flavor at all. And that's all there was just put into a different tortilla. There was some red sauce over the burrito and Enchilada but again it had no taste. Will I return? Not sure. I did promise my granddaughter I'd take her so I most likely will go again with her. But no plans for me to go again otherwise. Just very disappointing bland boring meal.

I should have waited before writing the bad review, My wife called the restaurant and they said they would happily replace the meal with the order that we wanted. I would just have to pick it up tomorrow. So I guess at least they are willing to work with you, and I really appreciate that!!

Great food so I highly recommend! I had a chicken dish with peppers & onions ; it was delicious!

Stopped in on a trip to Duluth and so happy we did. Fun environment, friendly and happy waitstaff (Erasmo was awesome!) and food was so good! Erasmo made my margarita specific to my request (cucumber mint) and better than my usually restaurant back home. We already have decided to stop back on our way home!

This is my first time here and I would totally come back! I HONESTLY never write reviews but this place is amazing if you are looking for a modern, clean, authentic Mexican place this is it!! I had Djs shrimp tacos and a couple margaritas and it was tasty! Would for sure recommend!!

Bad service she made us feel like we were bothering her had to get up go ask for salsa and hot sauce. And $45 for 2 $12 meals and a beer and a vodka so $9 beer $9 for a drink could not get itemized statements will not be bad
