I wanted to visit a Dollar Tree store after having taken in a movie. I was in the southern part of Eagan and crossed over to Apple Valley to visit this store. It's in a quiet plaza with a ton of parking. I pulled into a spot and walked in. This store has an older design. It seems to have been around for a while. However, many businesses in this plaza haven't survived, so the surroundings feel a bit eerie. I was here for a cheap notebook to practice calligraphy. I found one that looked like one that I had in high school. It was perfect for my needs. The snacks and food sections were pretty decent. The frozen food section had breakfast sandwiches, ice cream, and more. I ended up getting a one-litre bottle of Diet Pepsi and ramen. This store had a nice variety of ramen. The woman at the checkout seemed preoccupied with getting off work. She did manage to bag my items and ring up the bill. I paid with a credit card. Done! It's a huge store with a lot of variety. There was a Christmas merchandise sale. I ended up getting heavily discounted strawberry Jello candy canes, which are yummy. I saw everything from Cold Stone Creamery, to Twinkies candy canes. Cool and different!I enjoyed shopping at this Dollar Tree. I'd return when I'm back in the area.(9)

This is the largest dollar store location I have been to. Plenty of things to find and the staff is very friendly as well.

This Dollar Tree is in Rosemount. It is in a strip mall and rather small. It is definitely better that the Farmington store. Since I lost my job during Covid, I am looking for ways to save money. I stop by dollar stores now for cleaning supplies, vitamins, hygiene and some household items to save from the big box stores. If you need a gift bag or greeting card, stop here first. They have basic food stuff and also snacks too. Give it a try. You may find something that you like.

This store is huge! Everything is a dollar!A guy new to this kept asking his friend that accompanied him and they kept repeating, "Yep, it's a dollar. That's only a dollar."They have so much to choose from! Party decor, household cleaning supplies, frozen food, snacks, drinks, personal care, greeting cards, balloons, organization, candy, more party supplies, gift bags, wrapping paper, so much I can't even remember to list here!Definitely stop here, but be patient, they always seem to be busy. And since you are so close get some Sota-Roll to eat yum!!

First off I just want to say I work retail I understand every company has different policies for returning items. So with that out of the way here is my complaint and why I will never shop at Dollar Tree or Family Dollar now that they were bought out by them. I had my mom go and pick up some allergy medicine for me. She got benadryl and zyrtec and the benadryl was just fine that night, but when I went to use the zyrtec the next morning I noticed 3 were stolen out of the pack. I didnt think too much on it because I understand that its more of an issue with the packaging (its too easy to steal medicine like that). Where I decided to exchange it out was when I saw it was over a year expired. So I went in without a receipt since I wasnt the one that bought it and my mom most likely threw it away. They said to try a different store since they dont carry that style anymore, but my mother insisted that she got it from that store (which makes sense since that is the closest one to us). They still insisted that they couldn't take it back. This is where I draw the line they said they cant check the cameras to see that she bought it because they dont have cameras..... you are not supposed to tell customers that... AND that proves my point that these were probably stolen from and put somewhere else in the store, then they were moved back when my mom went to buy them. They are going through a remodel so things are thrown around and in disarray, so its not so out of the question to think these slipped through the cracks. Lastly I am not getting paid to make sure the products I am buying from a store is within the expiration date. That was apart of my duties when I was working at a general store and would be the same at any store. It is clear to me that they cannot handle the responsibilities with the staff they have now and they just fall back onto their return policy so that if anything does slip through the cracks they dont have to deal with it. I am going to drop off both items my mother bought for me that day to this store and will go somewhere else where I know if I run into this issue again (which can happen because we are only human) that they wont basically tell me I am stuck with expired medicine. Thank you for reading and I hope this company changes or I save someone else from the hassle of dealing with this company.
