What a fun fall day! This place is a gem in Waconia. Same goes to Parley Lake winery, which is just next door to this orchard. The shop is interesting and serves up a lot of variety of apple products. While you browse, get a glass of wine and walk around. Definitely get out to the grounds surrounding the barn. The winery next door always have fun events going like a live band outdoor and a food truck. There is a petting zoo outside, a few interesting sculptures worth checking out and a caricaturist. We strolled through the apple orchard down the street from the barn. If you are too lazy to walk, they operate tractors also. You can either buy your apples at the store or choose the pick your own apple bag option. There were Haralsons, Fireside and Honeycrisp apples when I was there. It's so much fun to see those red apples hanging in the trees while enjoying the cool breeze and crisp air. The rolling hills in this area is breath taking. It's really a beautiful part of MN that's worth checking out.

Came out here to buy some pumpkins...they were out of pumpkins (we should have called ahead) which was fine because they had so much other fun stuff going on! Not only is it an orchard but also a vineyard. I'm not as familiar with Minnesotan wines so I was a little skeptical but honestly I was very impressed by the crisp and woody taste of one of their reds. Not only that but they had a live band playing fun music. They allowed doggos so it was fun to walk around and see the beautiful fall colors with the pooch. Plus it was very family friendly so there were also some cute kids enjoying hay rides! They had what appeared to be a vendor selling unique pizzas but also the best soft pretzels I've ever had in my life with REAL gouda cheese for dipping. Great spot to check out in the fall, great for group gatherings/parties, would come back next year (although may call about pumpkins beforehand).

I really like this place and make it one of the two orchards I go to every fall. They have changed slightly over the years and have gotten even more seating and added a nice stage for a band which makes it great to grab some wine and hang out. Overall I love this place, I like the wine and the location and view is beautiful but it's not quite a one stop shop for fall stuff, at least not for me. They have pumpkins but it's not a pick your own patch. They do have some apple products but it's not to the level that you would find at say a Pine Tree Apple Orchard. I would rate this 5 stars if not for the following:-the pick your own apples are expensive, we stopped actually buying apples and instead just walk through the orchard to look at it-the parking sucks, there is one tiny lot then the rest is parking on the skinny dirt road, this place seems to be getting more and more popular, it might be time to buy a bit of the land form the field across the road and add some parking in My main tip would be to make this a half afternoon event and explore the adorable town of Waconia after.

SUCH a fun place! Apple picking AND wine tasting all in one adorable afternoon! The orchard seems incredibly family friendly, was very fun for my and some girlfriends, and would be awesome for a date! You pay for the size bag you want and then go pick the apples that are ready that day. They also let you sample all the different types so you know which ones you want to pick. They also have bags and bags of different types, yummy $.75 apple cider donuts, local honey, apple pies and crisp and a TON of other cutesy things. They also had a wood fire pizza truck show up and offer their delicious pizzas which was a God send because we were hungry and about to partake in a wine tasting. Pizza for the win. I would definitely recommend this place and actually plan on heading back with my mom and aunt in the near future!

hey, we had a freakin great time here! One of the very few DOG-FRIENDLY places to go picking apples, we really enjoyed the idea that we didn't have to leave him home.If you're going to see the animals, welp, this isn't an animal farm, nor do they present themselves as that - so you're an idiot. The apples are priced fair (buy a bag at a set price and pick your own), they have wine tasting (decent - not my style), they have a small store in which they sell way more than I want to write about and they were all very friendly.TIPS: bring some cash - yes they accept cards, but the stone oven pizza was cash. Dogs CANNOT go inside the barns/store.

This orchard is phenomenal! They offer so many things to do...apple picking ( they take you out to the apple trees on a trailer pulled by a tractor). They have a gift shop, wine tasting, a small enclosure with bunnies that my grandson really enjoyed, various food trucks, and the surroundings are just beautiful. They also have done a lot of renovations on the building and it's really beautiful and super clean. Love this place!

This is the most boring apple orchard I've ever experienced. No corn maze, no corn pit to play in, no jumping pillow, no train rides, no apple cannon, etc. Website described kids playstack hay area which was non-existent. Not kid friendly at all. Tractor ride is free, but you wait in line for 30 minutes. They have a weak animal farm with just 3 goats that you can't even go in and pet. Parking was also difficult. Not sure what the hype is about this place, but we won't be going back.

I went to Deardorff Orchards last weekend with my sister and niece. They tell you that you need to buy the bag for the apples before they take you out for picking. I spend $40 on 2, 1/2 peck bags. We get out there and people that are coming back from picking are complaining and saying there are no apples. The people we ride back with are throwing the lousy apples that were left off the side of the trailer because they aren't good. No one told us that it was slim pickings when selling us the bags and there are "no refunds". So, we ended up climbing trees and almost getting tracheotomies from the branches all to get a few crappy apples. And, if you like crowds of wussy husbands drinking wine with their pinkies up in their linen shirts while pulling their spawns in a wagon, this is the place for you. I, personally, wanted to kick the glasses out of their annoying hands.

Stopped by today on a whim. As the reviewer below wrote it is somewhat chaotic and unorganized. We spent a little time wandering around before we found someone who explained to us that you need to catch the tractor which takes you to the orchard. On the tractor are bags which you fill up. The apples are $2.50/lb and only certain ones are available. We did try/eat some apples in the fields. Other people were doing it as well and no one was really monitoring us or if they were no one said anything. The trees up front were pretty well picked. The trees further back had a little more fruit on them. Upon returning back from the orchard we went to pay for the apples and the lady kept insisting we had a bag full of honey crisp apples. We repeated 2 or 3 times that we had honey gold and there weren't any honey crisps out there and she looked at the apples and said no these don't look like honey golds they're honey crisp. a) no where in the orchard did we find a sign that said honey crisp. b) the sign said all apples were $2.50 so I don't understand why she was giving us such a hard time.
