Day Block Brewing Company - Pizza Place & Brewpub

I came here on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was pretty quiet at the time so we were able to sit down and order right away. I shared a small elote pizza with carnitas added, and this was the perfect amount for an afternoon meal. It was a little spendy for the size, coming out to $16. The elote pizza was so spicy I finished an entire glass of water while eating it. It was good but I would definitely recommend an extra side of sour cream. The pizza crust was the best part of it, every bite was crispy! Would love to try some other pizzas in the future.

Meh. I had a really hard time rating this place. On a good day (today) I'm going to give it a three but honestly a 2.5 is more realistic. We stopped in and found the place to be empty minus one other table. They were a party of two with a baby who were almost done and we were a party of three with a baby. Important to note because we asked for a highchair and about 15 minutes later the waitress came back with one and said " sorry they asked first" and gave it to the other table. I'm so confused because they were almost done eating so did they ask at the beginning and they forgot? Another coworker said they had another highchair and it just got more confusing from there. Drink wise- I was sad to hear no ciders and limited options outside of beer. I feel like I saw other photos suggesting they had them but the server said no. Food was meh, burger was pretty uneventful and the pizzas while good didn't woah us. We had to walk up to the bar ourselves to get another drink because our server was no where to be found. We were given our bill yet we planned on ordering more. The whole experience from start to finish was bad and we won't be coming back. In fact, I'm changing my review back to a 2 stars.

Love the outdoor patio. It was sort of ridiculous, I tried to change my reservation on a Sunday from 1:00 to 1:30 & it told me no reservation was available at that time. We arrived & there was NO ONE dining inside & ONE couple outside! WTF??! The spicy Margarita was NOT the least bit spicy even eating the "spice" from the rim. Bacon flight was so-so; the bacon-wrapped goat-cheese stuffed dates were average. Nachos were the highlight altho' they took a lot longer to come out than expected & not sure why. It was disappointing they were out of the crab Rangoon pizza which sounded so good. Would not go out of my way to dine here. The pizzas looked good but we didn't do one. And, of course, there's the parking - only PAID street parking is available.

It's a nice place. The beers are better than the foods. The foods are okay but mediocre. Although some breweries don't even serves food. So I guess this one is better. The Brussels sprouts are oily. The fried mushrooms have so much batter that you have to get a search team to find the content of that blob. Also they're soggy. So yeah pretty fabulous. Get the pizza and the wings. They're actually pretty good. Not memorable but good!

Nice waitress, good service. Food needs help. Pretzel B+. Walleye strips a bit disappointing. Wrong coating. Lighter breadcrumb better. Fries just bland. My local place in Chicago uses these https://www.store2doordirect.com/product/frozen-big-c-3-8-straight-cut-coated-french-fries-6-4-5-lbs/Way better: instant competition for the waffle fries at Maxwell's.

Stopped here after a Vikings game and SO glad we did! Had the Elote pizza, and even after forgetting to add the carnitas, this may have been the best pizza I have ever had! SOOOO good! The ingredients were SO fresh! Every flavor contributed perfectly! The roasted corn, cilantro, scallions and jalpenos - perfection! The crust was perfect! Best thing I've had since we moved here. We ate at the bar and service was excellent. We will definitely be back!

If you're looking for a great gameday atmosphere, Day Block is great! I highly recommend getting a reservation, they'll save you a whole table which is great when it gets packed. We came here the morning of the Vikings playoff game for brunch and it was packed. We had a wonderful server who was super helpful and fun! He made the hectic experience much better. Warning that the brunch deal is great, however the drinks pricing are steep. You're paying as if you're getting a full glass/pint of any drink, but they're just in plastic cups. A beer was $8 for not even a pint, drinks are about $10. They are not clear about their prices except for the gameday brunch being $18. I started off with their Blonde Ale, which was deliciously light and refreshing. After, I had tequila sodas with a splash of pineapple and it was very tasty - was kind of annoyed I was charged $1 for literally a splash of pineapple juice but oh well. I was glad the server at least told us the rail vodka is in drinkable. The brunch buffet was pretty good! There was pulled pork, pulled chicken, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, a variety of pizzas and Rice Krispie treats - plus some mixed greens and a very vinegary balsamic. The pulled pork and pizza were good - nothing out of this world but good enough for seconds. The mac and cheese was super bland so I mixed it with the pulled pork. We went up and kept getting pizza for the table since that was pretty easy. Not sure if I would pay $18 again for it since I don't eat a lot, but for the boys that went up for multiple plates it was a great deal. Overall, I'd come back for gameday but probably only for a drink before hopping to another bar.

Was looking for a quick bite, and saw Day Block on Yelp, and decided to check it out.Built my own pizza and enjoyed it!Shout out to Steven, the server, who provided good service, was courteous and professional.Had a good experience, and if in Minneapolis again, would look to check out other items on the menu!

Service was great. But, I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was not good. Pretty disappointing.

We showed up just before closing (not known at the time otherwise, prob wouldn't have stopped)on Tuesday. I'm sure glad we did! Being from out of town, we got to try a new to us brewery and the staff was so welcoming. Felt like having a last call at your small town local-Cheers!A big thanks to the two Bar and Kitchen staff members who were so friendly and gave us zero feelings of being rushed even though we showed up at closing time. So glad we stopped in.
