I finally gave in and tried the most hyped-up Italian restaurant in Minneapolis, and I can confidently say--it lives up to the hype. I'll admit, the prices initially made me hesitant (especially when you see how much ravioli comes on a plate), but after experiencing Dario, I can say it's absolutely worth it. This is a true special occasion spot. From the moment you step in, the warm and cozy atmosphere sets the tone for an intimate and elevated dining experience. Their in-house pasta-making is a labor of love, and it shows in every bite. On top of that, the service is stellar, with a knowledgeable and attentive staff that enhances the experience. For dinner, my partner and I shared the Spicy Rigatoni Alla Vodka and Doppio. The vodka pasta was rich, creamy, and balanced--not too spicy, though I personally would have liked a bit more heat. The rigatoni perfectly cradled the luscious vodka sauce and fennel sausage, while the fresh Parmesan and basil added the perfect finishing touch. But the real star of the night? The Doppio. This glorified ravioli might cost $30 for just six pieces, but trust me, it's worth every penny. Double-stuffed with ricotta, sunchoke, honey, hazelnuts, and rosemary, it's the perfect balance of salty and sweet--possibly the best ravioli I've ever had.For sides, we ordered the potatoes and roasted carrots, and both were must-tries. The potatoes were crispy yet creamy, with Comté, caramelized onion, and a hint of Tabasco, making them uniquely flavorful with just the right amount of heat. The roasted carrots were unlike anything I've had before--paired with hummus, zhoug, sumac, and pumpkin seeds, they were an explosion of flavors that elevated a simple vegetable into something spectacular.Overall, Dario is a place that makes you feel special. The price tag reflects the quality, care, and experience you're getting, making it a perfect choice for a birthday, anniversary, or any special celebration. I already can't wait to come back.

This was my second visit to Dario within 4 months so I can confidently say this is a great date night/girls night spot in the North Loop! It's still gaining popularity, which makes getting a reservation tricky but if you plan ahead you'll get a spot! This was my first time dining inside, as when I visited last October we sat on the patio. The inside is beautifully themed in velvets and greenery. It gives off the warm and cozy vibe. My friend and I were seated at 4 person table that had 2 stools and 2 spots in a comfy curved booth. We both opted to sit in the booth side as the stools did not look relaxing for a full evening dinner. The inside was loud, but we were able to hear just fine since we were sitting so close. We each started with a mocktail which were delicious but not with the same price as a cocktail. We then were served our potatoes first and then shortly after our salad and I was shocked at how hearty the portion size was for the salad! This was my second time getting the potatoes and they didn't wow me as I felt it was just a hash brown fried. After the potatoes and salad, each of our pasta dishes arrived within a few moments of each other. The Doppio is a MUST get for a first timer and since it was my friend's first time - you bet I ordered it again! It's such a unique yet delicious flavor that you'll have to taste yourself to believe. The Garganelli was another favorite for us as the sweetness of the red sauce blended perfectly with the pork and pickled pepper flavors. Lastly, we finished with the light cake & ice cream. I really felt it lacked flavor and depth, but the pizzelle cookie on top was the standout for me!

Went here for a romantic evening with the husband. They seated us 15 minutes after our reservation which wasn't the best of starts. Our server Maddy was very kind and attentive. We tried the potatoes and broccolini to start. Potatoes were cooked amazing, but needed some salt. The broccolini was fabulous! We also has the Doppio which was sweet and delicious! The Braised Duck Risotto was a special they added to the menu and was really rich! Finished off with the steak which was beautiful and way bigger than we thought it would be! Lots of NA drink options including NA wines. We did the valet which ended up having a lot of hidden fees. ~$19 before tip, but it was super convenient. The restaurant is in a beautiful office building.

Great food, friendly service and a good place for a first date or an anniversary! Such a nice place tucked away in North Washington Ave behind an (ahem) adult club. Contemporary decor, nice cocktails (and yes, a full bar!), and good desserts! This is a place worth trying and for us, definitely coming back!

I was able to get a parking spot, but they do have valet service as an option. The place is really vibey. I met some coworkers for dinner. It was hard to have a conversation since the music is loud. The waitress was very friendly and had some great suggestions. The food was phenomenal!

Came here for my birthday dinner tonight. One star for the ambience...It's very bright, modern, and cute! Second star is for the staff's attentiveness with refilling our drinks and such. And for the last star, What I liked is that the pasta is made fresh daily! You can really taste it. Everything we got was good but it just wasn't "omg this is so good". It was lacking a little more salt and zing. And their cocktails wand dessert wasn't speaking to me. For starters we got the potatoes, It tasted like a very crispy hash brown with a cream sauce and caramelized onions. That was very good, the caramelized onions takes it to the next level. It just needed a pinch more salt. The doppio was good. It's similar to ravioli, It's pasta pillows stuffed with ricotta and sunchoke. I liked the nuts and honey that was paired with it.The other pasta, Beef Short Rib & Polenta Agnolotti was ok because the filling didn't taste that appetizing. The texture & smell threw it off. It reminded us of can tuna. I think that was the polenta. And the meat was too shredded.Lastly, the chicken was ok.

I had been wanting to check out Dario solely for their pink aesthetic. They are frequently booked up so I would recommend making a reservation in advance! We ordered the cheesy bread and I got the wild mushroomPasta. It was very delicious and we also shared a bottle of wine! I would say 7/10 for the pasta, the flavor was amazing but some of the noodles were a little hard. Service was ok, not as top notch as I'd like for how much you are spending there.

Great experience my first time trying Dario. Excellent service, chic yet playful decor, and inspired menu. Highly recommend the bluefin tuna carpaccio and pork ragu garganelli. Lost a star for dessert. Our budino was good but not the great.Dario offers valet parking if the standard lots are full.

This was my first visit and I cannot wait to go back! I loved the ambiance and colors, that was the first thing that stood out to me when I walked in besides that it was completely packed. We started off with the Maple Parsnip app which was pretty good, nice to have veggie apps before a pasta entree. The Short Rib and Polenta Agnolotti was absolutely delicious (which I expected because of what I have heard about it) but the Doppio...now that was a pleasant surprise. It was so delicate but so flavorful. The ricotta and sunchoke worked so well with the honey, brown butter, rosemary and hazelnuts. Highly recommend! Our bartender was very nice as well.

One of the best pasta places in Minneapolis by far! The pasta is so incredible fresh and made fresh in their pasta room daily. I'd recommend going with a group and ordering to share so you can get a little taste of everything. We ordered the Bluefin Tuna Carpaccio, Fall Vegetable Salad, Doppio, Wild mushroom & Funduta Tortellini, Beef Short Rib & Polenta Agnolotti & the Butternut Squash Cappellaci. The Doppio is one of their popular dishes which is so good. I'd also recommend getting the mushroom pasta even if you aren't a huge fan of mushrooms. I am not, and absolutely loved the dish. You honestly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The flavors and freshness of everything was out of this world. The service was superb! I also loved the ambiance of the restaurant & little pops of color. Your visit will be expensive but I promise it's worth every penny. The serving sizes are not huge so if sharing make sure to ask how many pieces come in a dish. Tip: If you have a late reservation in the evening you may risk not being able to order certain items. They make everything fresh daily so only have a limited supply of all the menu items. We dined at 8pm and I believe there were only one or two items no longer available
