This was the only decent accommodation available in Cottage Grove.Looks like there was a change of management + ownership in winter 2023 and the hotel took a dive after that at a much accelerated pace. The customer experience is not the same with new management not wanting to honor Radisson commitments as they share that hotel might still be Radisson but owned by Choice [not sure what that even means :) ].A quarter of the staff were in Radisson shirts & then others just wearing puma or Reebok hoodies including house keeping so could not really tell who was an employee and who was not if you required assistance or had someone knock on your door claiming to be house keeping, which seems unprofessional imo.Anyways - the lobby is nice/clean but the rooms are getting rough and you can visibly tell that maintenance is being deferred on many items including bathrooms. The pool does have extended hours which was the only silver lining. Breakfast was basic but not expecting 5 star meal anyways but going back to change of management, there was one staff member for breakfast who seemed clearly over whelmed & was getting short tempered and I guess rightly so.

The price was extremely reasonable and it was in a good location - at least it was close to where I needed to be. The staff were ok too. But that is where I end with things! The hotel itself needs some updating and some deep cleaning! Chances are - I will try another place the next time I'm in town!

I had my block there for my wedding and my guests were told several different things as they were booking their rooms. I know at least two employees were still training and I do not blame them as they are still learning but then on the day of my wedding my guests were told that there was one shuttle to the venue and that was it. We had paid for the shuttle to run back and fourth the entire night. I found out the GM was actually there that day so I don't understand how they were still being told the wrong information. I was told by the GM to book the shuttle myself then was told later I needed to book through her for the discount. This hotel handles a lot of weddings so it's disappointing that there was so much confusion. The employee working Friday night during my grooms dinner was amazing and the breakfast ladies Sunday sang happy birthday to my 3 year old cousin. Overall it was not a horrible experience I just wish employees were told they correct information to tell my guests.

Yeah, me. After I mentioned my gold status, I got an upgraded 1 bedroom suite. The clerk went above and beyond by finding a cancellation and giving me the suite instead of the original 2 Queen on the reservation. Also, I got a care package with a bottled water, peanut butter cracker sandwiches, and microwaveable popcorn.Pretty nice amenities with separate bedroom and living room. Plus, flatscreen TVs in both rooms. There are a couple of nearby restaurants like the Applebee's next door but met up with friend for drinks in Woodbury. Nearby where I need to be the next day. Only minutes away so that was a big plus. Pool is pretty nice as well as the fitness room. The downside is the location being near the train tracks. I remembered my drive between St. Paul and Cottage Grove and seeing the depot station. Although the hotel is not exactly sitting next to the tracks, you can certainly hear it with the blaring horns. I must have woken up several times and gave up on returning back to sleep. Now, I don't think the hotel could have done anything so no stars taken off.Breakfast was also over the top with nice vanilla yogurt with berries as well as granola. Really nice touch with hot oatmeal with all the fixings. Plus, you got both apples and oranges which is a good touch as well. Egg was your typical prepared one so avoided it. Stuck with cereal and hot oatmeal already prepared:)

If they're staying one night, they're probably a good hotel. The rooms were nice, the breakfast was ok for being free. But when you're blocking off rooms for a big event and providing shuttles (as I was for my wedding), they dropped the ball. I had to call them MULTIPLE times because people were telling me they couldn't get rooms in our block and things like that. Then, the shuttles, which I scheduled from 3:00 - 4:30 for my 4:00 wedding, didn't show up until 4:15 because, according to whoever I spoke to at 4:05, "the person who entered it into the system just put 4:30." They caused WAY more stress than we needed on an already stressful day.

I spent the day here the other day in preparation for a wedding. The service was good, although they wouldn't let one person in our party rent more than one room, we had to have different people rent different rooms. The beds seemed comfortable and the rooms seemed clean, attractive, and relatively spacious. They had big TVs and bathrooms. The rooms also had small refrigerators. The only other thing I didn't like besides their rental policy was their tiny pillows. I hate that! Overall, it was a good choice for what we needed, and I would recommend it.

So, hotel itself is ok. Very loud outside - thank you Applebees - but the actual room is fine. The 3 stars stem from other factors that are not related to the bed or room. Free Breakfast? Had on that....could push myself to eat freezer warmed french toast sticks and dicey sausage...and seriously, how can a hotel hoping to service busy travelers that have their hands full not have either an automatic door or double doors? What?

Booked a room here a few months back in September through booking.com for a wedding. We booked the trip a few months in advance and requested late check in since our flight was arriving in Minneapolis at 7pm. When we arrived for late check in, we were told we could not be accommodated as our names were not in the system at all. To add insult to injury, we were told were completely booked and told to look elsewhere. That weekend, every hotel was booked up and we could not find any nearby rooms so easily. Despite the great reviews that we read, I was pretty disappointed at how this was all handled by the property.

6-15-24 wedding - booked 1-14-24 - had emailed confirmation - got an email one week before - your day stay is one week away ! Drove 150 miles to find out we had "no rooms" we booked 2 and confirmation confirms we that as well- hotel has no record of our name or confirmation number - 2 hours before wedding and we now have no where to stay or go or even get ready - as the day went on found out several other families who had booked in january were also told upon arrival and lived several hours away, that they had no record of there rooms, names, confirmation number either - many families were turned away with no answers as to why and what to do now - called choice - they can see our names and confirmation numbers !? - handed the phone to hotel people to talk to choice directly - sol - hotel has no records and no rooms !! Everyone is shit of of luck - sorry - left wedding early and drove 150 miles back home that night. Hotel destroyed that wedding for many families that night - unforgivable in my eyes !!!

One day after we checked in, I went to warm up coffee in the microwave only to discover it had not been cleaned. It was so disgusting. It looked like something exploded in it and hadn't been cleaned for weeks. Also, we were supposed to get our room cleaned. We were gone all day and returned to an uncleaned room. Do to staffing shortages it was to be cleaned every third day. When we talked to the front desk they said they were really busy with a wedding party. We are paying customers and we're very disappointed with the lack of cleanliness and attention. We will never stay at this place again. It's too bad because my daughter attends college in the area.
