Great little place in downtown Grantsburg. We went for breakfast and we're not disappointed. Cinnamon roll French toast and thick cut bacon made my day. Quick service and great food.

Wow! We stopped by for an early meal yesterday morning; I dont know who was manning the kitchen then but I strongly feel the crispy cod sandwich I got may very well be the best fish sandwich I've had in my life! If you're in the area do not pass this lovely little spot by! i

Excellent eggs benedict and hashbrowns. Large pancakes and tasty bacon. My family has breakfast here once week. Never disappointed.

Note to self. You got to come in earlier if you want to make sure you can get the daily special. I was to late today.

Great place, with good food and great service. I had breakfast envy because my cousin got the "pancake" sandwich, and it looked AMAZing. I had simple eggs and bacon. The bacon was nice and thick! Not the cheap thin stuff. My dad had the corn beef hash and eggs and it was also really really good! We loved all the old calendars and pictures on the wall. We will be back for sure!

Still the best place in town. Doesn't matter if it's for breakfast or lunch you'll be in for a treat. And the service is second to none.

Classic breakfast place. Great service, coffee carafe at table (typical diner style coffee). Food way above average. Lots of local photos on the walls: cozy small town vibe. Highly recommended.

Great lunch specials. Very filling and reasonably priced. The vegetable beef soup is wonderful! Staff is always polite and the place is busy so that tells you that the food is good.

Linda has been running this place like a top for 2 decades. I'm a chef in the city and I couldn't do it. First: you got the coffee klatch lined up when she arrives while the plows are removing the snow. Second; you got the cheap country folks tipping a dime for toast and coffee. Third; it's hard buying groceries for the place - Sysco trucks are expensive. Lastly; she is facing a lot of junk food vendor's competition. While you may enjoy eating off the curb, not me. Especially for breakfast you want a bunch of homey stuff to look at while you read the paper, sip the coffee and wait for your order. It's certainly not Al's breakfast. Nobody rushes you like the chain restaurants. Incidentally, from a culinary perspective, the way they do hash browns is world class. Harlan and Vonda
