This was a nice course for the price. We used our MN PGA card and got a two-for-one price. The staff was very welcoming. The starter let us go off early since we were ready and the foursome before us wasn't there yet. Appreciated that. We played in just over 4 hours. The forward tees are short coming in at less than 4800 yards. Tee boxes were a bit ragged. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Sand was not fluffy and more like light dirt. Not a lot of water on the course. Lots of trees and fairly narrow fairways. There were a couple of holes that were kind of goofy, and S-shaped hole, one with a tiny pond right next to the green that should have probably been a trap instead, and one that was using a temp green which severely shortened what should have been a par 5. Overall, it was a good course for the price.

Best value for a good challenging and scenic course in the twin cities area. The drinks at the bar are reasonable and the service is always friendly. The greens roll true and are lush. Not your typical beat up overcrowded public course. Stay on Saturday nights for their stone fired pizzas. They are ridiculously tasty. I give this course two thumbs up for service, course conditions, and stone fired pizzas.

Not the best, not the worst. If you are looking to practice or have young children playing alongside, this is your place. If you are an avid golfer, you will be upset. Try the sister course, Clifton Highlands.
