We didn't stay for the hunting. We were just passing through but it was very clean, the water in the shower was hot, and I feel rested. Everyone was attentive and nice and answered my questions. There is a general store attached as well. This was a nice affordable stay for weary travelers.

Clam Lake Junction is in an interesting place. To get there, go to the middle of nowhere in Wisconsin. Now turn left. Then go a couple of miles further. You're now getting close. The place is so remote that they get visits from Wisconsin's elk herd.So you can imagine what I was expecting from a small hotel that remote and far from anything.I was *very* pleasantly surprised. The owner takes great pride in his business and with good reason. The unit we stayed in had in-floor heating. It was large for a motel room with two beds. The place was very clean and quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The linens (bedsheets, towels, etc.) were all good quality and fresh. The rocking chairs were very comfortable and quite preferable to watch TV from - normally we need to sit on the bed to see the TV. The room has a sitting area with 2 rocking chairs so you don't need to sit on the bed.If you need a place to stay around Butternut or Park Falls, you'd do yourself a favor and try to stay here. You may have to drive a little bit to get here, but it's worth it. You might even get to see an elk!

As the other reviews say, this little spot at the junction of 77 and GG in the micro burg of Clam Lake has a little bit of everything: motel, gas, bait, beer, booze, can goods, frozen pizza, frozen meat, tackle, souviners, cheese, junk food, AND a tanning bed in the back! At least that is what the clerk told me on a recent trip here. Convenience store pricing, but if you're nearby it is saving you a trip into Hayward.

Now called "Clam Lake Junction", this place has everything - gas, snacks, a small selection of groceries, jerked meat, beer, bait, cheese, beer and if that's not enough....motel rooms too.If you're enroute know that the bathrooms are clean, the people working here are nice and the gas tends to be cheaper than other places in the vicinity. Plus, it's in Clam Lake so you might see an elk stroll by.

Lynn and his team are absolutely the best! We were scheduled to visit for one week with dear friends, the Reins, at Clam Lake. The trip had been planned for many months but due to our daughter giving birth to our first granddaughter, we were unable to come.We contacted Lynn at Clam Lake Junction and asked if he could put together a fun gift basket full of tasty delights, to let our friends know that we missed being in Clam Lake with them. Lynn and his team made it happen and in no time, during one of the busiest festivals in September, our basket was created and our friends were thrilled!Thank you to Clam Lake Junction for the superior and neighborly service. Your time and effort are so greatly appreciated!

I HIGHLY recommend stopping here if you are traveling through Wisconsin. The convenience store has a little bit of everything, the fuel is cheaper than you will find in any of the surrounding cities, and there is even a motel attached to it as well. The scenery is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and you could not ask for a more hospitable and friendly owner that goes far above and beyond to make sure that your visit to or through Clam Lake is absolutely the best that it can be. I will definitely be back!

We decided to stay here instead of opening up our cabin this winter for our snowmobile trip. The rooms are very clean. Spotless carpet, chairs, bathrooms and bedspreads. Our room had a separated little sitting area with a 32" flat screen tv and two comfy chairs. It also has a small fridge and microwave. I was going to give it four stars because it isn't deluxe hotel, but someone staying here wouldn't expect that. But I am because when I came back to my room after a day out on the sled I found all of my clothes that I just tossed on my bag folded neatly and stacked on it. This is the kind of service that makes this place stand out. The room we stayed in was on an inside hallway which I like. So if you are looking for a very clean and reasonable place to stay, this is it.
