Chuchao Liquor

This is a great little shop tucked away in an unassuming strip mall. The wine selection is not extensive, but they stock the most popular brands and the prices are lower than what I've seen elsewhere. The beer selection is pretty good, including things such as hard cider. They also stock items for Asian cooking that you can't find at most Minnesota liquor stores, such as mirin (Japanese cooking wine) and authentic umeshu (100% plum wine). The owners are very friendly as well, often reminding customers that they have a 10% discount on Tuesdays. So far this is the only place in the Twin Cities I've found that stocks real mirin (United Noodles stocks no alcoholic ingredients, and a certain reputable wine/liquor store in Nordeast had no idea what I was talking about), so I will continue to patronize this shop after I leave the area.

Nice little family owned liquor store. Decent prices and selection. It's no Surdyks but the huge parking lot and access to street is a big plus.

so glad these guys started stocking surly. turned out to be the best price in town for the 2015 Darkness! Not the greatest selection other than surly and a few other craft brewers, but they are really good folks.
