Chin Chin

Tried the ChinChin last night and it was terrible. We have had food from here in the past and once it was excellent and once just ok. Last night the Shrimp a Chicken meal box had three shrimp but one was mushy (bad) and the chicken was grisly thigh meat. I ate the two shrimp and the mediocre fried rice and dumped the rest. The egg roll was ok but their "famous" cheese puffs had barely any cheese so was basically deep fried dough.My wife liked her lemon chicken but, I thought it was pretty dry. The saving grace with that is the quarter inch of batter and the lemon sauce.I am thankful we didn't actually get sick but the food was pathetic. Will not go there again and would not recommend.

I called Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 2:54 pm and asked if it was possible to still order a lunch box. The man answering the phone said, No lunch box. Then hung up the phone. I have been going here for many years. Yet this experience was strange. I can accept that it was close to 3 pm when they stop selling lunch boxes. Yet I was surprised that he didn't bother to ask me if I would like to order something else. I won't bother going to Chin Chin ever again. They lost a loyal customer. Poor service when calling them to make a pick up order.

My favorites are the Vietnamese-style egg rolls and Hot and sour soup when I've got a cold. It's a takeout joints so it's not one for ambience, but food is always ready within 15 min. Our other family go-tos are the Chicken Chow Mein, Beef and broccoli, Steamed dumplings and the cream cheese puffs.

I have been buying from them for the last 3 years and never had a problem until now. Had company over last weekend and he called to place an order based on the menu online but when he was given the total amount it was way more than what was on the menu. When he asked about the prices he was told to keep his money and the old man hung up the phone. I was too outdone, I will never order from them ever again and will tell everyone how my friend was treated. He gave my number so they knew who I was, if this is how they treat faithful customers they will not keep customers.

This used to be a great spot on the West Side of Saint Paul. But the quality of the food has gone done and the price up! I hope they can work on the Quality of their food as that would be the only reason I'd try them again.

Old school American Chinese food- quick easy stop on a busy day. Takeout only a neighborhood favorite.

Great food. Same for years. It's home. It's in a great location. Definitely try the Chow Mein. Egg rolls are amazing too! I always get the same thing. But trust me try whatever you normally would and it will give everything you want it too.

One of our favs :) everything is delicious! The menu has lots of variety, portions are generous, and they offer take out and delivery.

They were very friendly and upbeat. Food is good as always, just wanted to offer up their current menu as every other one I've found is a bit dated

AMAZING FOOD! The best cheese puffs I've ever had. I always get the Minnesota chow mien as well, I highly recommend!
