Weird name, hard to find, and all the ambiance of a truck stop - I'm in. I figured if it has all of those things going against it and stays in business it must be pretty good. I was glad my hunch (and the solid Yelp ratings) paid off. We ordered an Asada Burrito, Huarache, Enchiladas, and some fried potato patties that I forget the name of. All of it was good and I am sure we'll be back.

Not that bad for lunchNothing for entertainmentbut UnivisionI've been wanting to check this place out for some time now based on the Yelp reviews as work brings me down to Chaska from time to time. Torn between a three and a four. Four for the food, two for everything else, so three it is.Place is a little tricky to find. It is located in a strip mall with several other markets and eateries. Most of the stores in the strip mall have entrances right at the sidewalk. To get to Chaska My Love, you need to go inside an enclosed portion of the strip mall. From the outside driving by, all you can see is a small sign that says "Mexican Restaurant."Went with the enchilada plate for $8.00 and a can of diet soda (yes, soda - I live in Wisconsin) for a buck. Order up at the counter, and they bring the food out to you. I would say it took about ten minutes from ordering until I had the food brought out to my table. They did bring out some complimentary chips and salsa while I was waiting. Nothing mind blowing, but nice touch. The enchiladas were tasty. The sauce was kind of sweet which I am not accustomed to on enchiladas. I really liked it. The rice was also great, perfect texture and kind of buttery with no frills. Just the way I like it. The beans were standard.Be prepared to keep yourself busy on your cellphone if you decide to eat there. There is only one television which is on Univision with no sound. It looked like there was some kind of soap opera going on with two chicks who were yelling and screaming at each other. In my mind, I was chanting "CATFIGHT, CATFIGHT!" Alas, no such luck. They went their separate ways without coming to fisticuffs. If I lived in the area, I would be a semi-regular for lunch - probably for take-out only. There is also no cerveza and no outdoor seating. It also had really poor lighting for my tastes. They had lights on over the counter and kitchen, but no lights on in the seating area. Lastly, I'm not sure if they have air conditioning or not - it was a bit on the hot side in there today.

I used to love this place and my friends and me really liked going here if we wanted good mexican food. Unfortunately I was very disappointed last time - there was meat in my vegetarian dish (really small pieces so I realised it once it was almost all gone..). Very sad and disappointing moment for me which now does not make me want to come here again. Besides that I think this place is great for someone who is not vegetarian or anything like that. Don't feel like this is a place to go to with special needs which is sad especially in times like now where a lot of people are more aware of what they eat.

Stop by on our way through town. Very authentic, great tasting food. Very affordable. My chicken enchiladas were delicious. My husband's tacos were great too, especially the carnitas. Would definitely recommend stopping here.

Flavors I can taste! As authentic as I can find in MSP! Fair prices and friendly staff.I found this place strictly based on Yelp recommendations, which is funny because all of the other reviews are from Groupon related visitors. I didn't have any coupon, but was yearning for some down and dirty mexican favorites. This place surely delivered. I have to say, my wife is quite picky about the restaurants we visit, meaning they have to be quite clean, and "safe" as she would call it. This isn't either of those. But I could tell it was family owned, authentic, and genuine. The food tasted that way too. Cilantro in my burrito? Yes please! Thick cut deep fried chips in my nachos? Yup!The location is odd, next to a dingy laundry mat. The interior is very Spanish. They sell cell phone cases at the same counter you order your dinner for example. The TV mounted to the wall seemed to have failed, so they brought in the nearest 42" tube TV they could find and popped it down on a table. Sure, this place could be cleaned up a bit and use some new furniture, flooring, and menu - but the food is why I came and why I will come back.Get it to go, call ahead if you think of it. You'll love the flavor and taste that you wouldn't find going to some place like Don Pablo's chains.

Let's just say this small hole in the wall restaurant is officially one of my favorites to get authentic Mexican food from. They offer a variety of entrees placed on top of the wall with photos (which is very helpful if you don't know Spanish) and the quick service with the quality of food is why I rated five stars. I've had the al pastor and carne asada tacos and both have been so flavorful and the crisp corn tortilla completes the dish. My personal favorite is the chicken flautas which are basically rolled taquitos filled with chicken and whatever seasoning they use for the chicken is to die for.

We've loved living so close to Chaska My Love and enjoying their fresh, delicious meals. I have yet to have something I didn't like. Everything is made so fresh and with such great flavors! It's also extremely reasonably priced.

Yuk all around. Walking in there is an overflowing garbage can outside. Booths are ripped open an stuffing coming out. Family (I assume owners) set in the back set up with their with a playpen and baby stuff. Got our chips and salsa first - we all made a face when we tried the chips - they were dark brown and tasted so stale, like made a week ago, so we left those. I had the flautas which were made fresh but they were literally only half filled, the ends were totally just tortilla. My daughter ordered chilaquiles - she left most of it. Mother in law had a torta, took one bite and left it. They brought out a complimentary tamale but nobody liked that either. Mother in law went to get a burger after we left. My daughter had the horchata which they assured her they make fresh - she was certain it was made from a powder mix. Dive places are often the best, but not this one. It is dirty and nasty. Go to La Hermosa.
