I want to like Catrine's because La Terrazza (the previous restaurant) was our long time favorite but Catrine's has left a lot to be desired each time we've gone. My biggest takeaway: it's EXPENSIVE. I understand prices in general are up but the quality of their food is not on par with the prices. This is a standard Mexican restaurant trying to charge upscale Mexican prices. The salsa is good, I appreciate individual dishes for everyone at the table. However last time we went, we finished a whole basket of chips before we got a water (much less ordered our drinks.) The servers were more interested in cleaning other tables than waiting on us. Even though it took longer than it should have to order, when we did finally order our food came fast. Margaritas are very average. Everything is average. Not in any hurry to return.

Fantastic find with great atmosphere and great Mexican cuisine. Under new ownership, this place offers a great ding experience with excellent service. Offering a great drink menu, including a flight of specialty Margaritas. The portions are quite large and the flavors are well-balanced. The Viking burrito was excellent as was the Shrimp and Rice. Highly recommend this place for your next dining experience.

My daughter took us here this evening and I wasn't expecting much due to the limited reviews but I was surprised as the quality of the was good, the service spot on, prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was nice (no TV's). This was a sad sad sad dining experience. I came here with a group for new years eve and was sorely disappointed. The salsa served with the complimentary chip basket was fair....at best.I ordered the street tacos and they were overpriced for the quantity I received. The flavor was nothing special. In a word - Meh!The restaurant temperature was very cold and I felt myself nodding off. This is what happens right before you freeze to death.Finally, the magarita I ordered was so-so. It was basically on par with all the other mediocre margaritas in mankato. It seems like each restaurant uses the same substandard margarita mix.I guess I'll simply say "Adios" to another pathetic Mexican restaurant.

Nothing special about this place as it comes to taste. My biggest concern is the fact that the server that brought our food to the table was actively dripping sweat off of his forehead onto the food he was delivering. I understand it must be hot in the kitchen and these food runners are working their ass off but at least try to keep the bodily fluids from dripping off of their skin onto the food that paying customers are consuming. I should have made a fuss but I didn't want to embarrass my date. This happened a month ago and it still bothers me that I didn't speak up at the time. It wasn't the runners fault and I believe it would have embarrassed not only him but me as well for pointing it out. That being said, please watch out for yourself. There are several diseases that can be spread by human sweat. And when eating out at a restaurant people shouldn't have to be "On guard" with their food. I should have spoken up but I didn't. And I regret that because I will never forget it. I will not be going back to this restaurant.
