Caribou Coffee

Caribou isn't my fav coffee in the world but it's the closest * coffee shop in my new hood ("only" 20 mins away by bus). I have been to this location a few times and my boyfriend grabs a drip coffee here on his way to work quite frequently. On one trip the kid manning the register was clearly very new and it took him approximately 10 mins and 100 pushes of buttons to ring up our 2 drinks. It was kind of unbelievable. Then he didn't (know he was supposed to) serve my boyfriend's drip so that took even longer than my latte. That is the worst the service has ever been... Not rude or bad, just frustrating and inefficient. I was also here earlier in the week and noticed that most of the tables were covered in crumbs. I was there for 2 hours and it got slow and there weren't very many customers so the staff certainly could have taken the time to wipe down the tables. But they didn't.It is located in Mapleridge Mall so you can get some other stuff done if in the area. This shop has a fireplace, which will be cozy and lovely very soon. I always like Caribou's branding, it is cute and clever. But boy do I miss Seattle -- for both the coffee and the dense, walkable neighborhoods -- these days.*There is a Christian place down the street but it has irregular business hours and I think you only go there if you're in AA

When the lines are long they need to know how to keep conversations short!! A simple hi and friendly service would suffice. But they keep talking when they're are 5-6 others in line. My husband ordered ice coffee and they gave him hot coffee when they brought it out he said "ice coffee" and she argued and insisted he said "regular coffee". Horrible service maybe if she was actually listening when the order was being placed and not talking to other customers in line.

Staff is always friendly. Has outside patio area and nice indoor seating around a fireplace. My favorite is Mango ice tea with a shot of Cherry. Yum.

I stopped here on my way home after grabbing a coffee in Roseville at another Caribou. The coffee I had bought had burnt milk and I asked if I could get it remade. The cashier said they would prefer that you return it at the location I bought it at. I was very displeased with the customer service.

Krystin and lorrie are nice but they take way to long they talk to everyone and that's nice when it's a hey hello but when you're in a rush it gets annoying and they do take a long time I hate that
