"Went to Murray's for my birthday dinner. Had reservations and we were seated immediately. The service here is a step above top notch. Entering from the street, the bar is on the right and the main dining room is forward.Started the night with a nice Spanish red. They have an extensive wine menu and craft cocktails as well. First to was the crab and corn chowder. It was great. Second up was the lobster appetizer, which was an Australian lobster tail in a butter and lemon sauce. Unfortunately this was over cooked. For the price, it definitely was not worth.Main couse was a porterhouse andpotatoes in a cheddar sauce. The porterhouse was perfectly cooked and really delicious. The potatoes were okay, but a little under seasoned. Still the meal was pretty good. For dessert there was a molten fugde cake topped with ice cream. That was also good. All in all a great meal, but definitely would only come here for special occasions, as the bill was quite hefty."
"Dined outside on a Sunday evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. The raspberry mojito was light and refreshing. The very berry salad with chicken was yummy and good portion size. But the real winner was the chocolate torte. Rich and delicious. Staff was friendly. Note the restrooms have a weird layout, so I may or may not have walked into the men's restroom at first..."
"VIEWS FOR MILESWe enjoyed a beer and a 'zero proof' cocktail at Prohibition right after a weekday 5pm opening when it was very quiet. We were tucked away in a corner on a high-top table with great views of the surrounding Minneapolis skyscrapers and distant views of St. Paul. I was able to take some great photos out the windows throughout the bar before it got too busy.WE SKIPPED THE OBSERVATION DECK, CHOOSING PROHIBITION INSTEADWe chose visiting the 27th floor Prohibition over paying to ascend to the Foshay Tower and Observation Deck (30th floor), because we thought the views were good enough. We put our money towards cocktails instead! If you want to learn about the history of the place, it's easy to research it on your phone while sipping. :)1920s SPEAKEASY FEELThe decor is 1920s-ish with dark woods, blacks and purples with splashes of reds, occasional armchairs, couches and book cases. It was originally a retreat for the builder magnate Wilbur Foshay. I thought the actual bar didn't quite have a wow factor, but the rest of it felt 'speakeasy', although it's not quite as mysterious and clandestine as some we've visited.MOCKTAILThe zero proof cocktail I tried -- A 'Crime of Passion', complete with a real flower for garnish -- was one of the best 'mocktails' I'd ever had. It wasn't too watered down with ice and was quite flavorful. ($12, summer of 2024).TAKE THE ELEVATOR TO THE 27TH FLOORIn order to get to Prohibition, take the elevator up to the 27th floor from the ground floor where you find the check-in desks at the Foshay (W Hotel). When we took the elevator, there was a large crowd of conference people also waiting, so it took a few rounds of waiting before we got up there. For great photos of the Foshay Tower, go across the street."
"I was hosting a rehearsal dinner at the brewery a block away and stopped in to try their pizza to see if it was good enough to order for the event. WOW! The pizza was fantastic and the people working there were genuinely helpful, kind and just great to talk with. I spoke with my waitress, Hannah (who was lovely by the way) and she suggested I reach out to the owner for my rehearsal dinner needs. She even provided me with the contact information. Some people would just say email the owner, she did not. I reached out to the owner Laura, and she was lovely. I asked her if I could preorder 11 pizzas, pay for them and have them delivered. She wrote back a kind email offering everything I asked for and included heat lamps and warming bags. In the course of our conversations, she supplied me with an invoice and will work with the brewery to set things up prior to our arrival.Do not hesitate to eat here. Support people who go out of their way to make a customer's experience a great one. The pizza is fantastic and the people are genuine.I truly feel blessed to have come upon their restaurant and am so totally blown away by the service and food I received."
"This place is ! I have never seen Soju on a menu, and it was explained that it flavored sake which usually results in a more sweeter taste. They infuse the Soju themselves in house and it was amazing! I suggest getting a flight, by the lychee was my favorite! The atmosphere is so cool. Dark, loud music, high backed booths. Perfect for a date or a group. We took our kids here and sat at the bar... they were extremely accommodating with paper and coloring crayons. The staff were unfazed. The food is splendid. My favorite was the pork belly. It comes with wraps and you get tongs and utensils to build it yourself. It could have been cooked a littleLonger, but the flavor was perfect. We'll be back!!"
"Service was very good, with a great environment... the bartender was informative... and the food while looking great also tasted extremely good."

What a find!!! Great ambiance and we enjoyed sitting at the bar. The bartender was knowledgeable and gave great advice. We both loved our martinis and the Brie cheese curds with blueberry ketchup were amazing! Keep in mind you must like Brie and need a decent amount of blueberry on it to perfectly balance the flavor. Not the cheapest place we went, but would definitely go back,

Stop by for some drinks for my friends birthday. Drinks were good, but pricey. $26 for one drink with a tip. The furniture definitely needs to be replaced some of it because it was very worn. Customer service was overall good, but it was pretty difficult to find our waiter for the majority of the time and she didn't remember what each person ordered. Therefore, it was a bit of a process to close out our tab.

Wonderful authentic NY style pizza right here in the Twin Cities! Our teenagers had 14" pepperoni & devoured the whole pie. My husband and I shared the 14" half combo, half picante, both scrumptious! We love spicy food and the picante was on point. They kept their awesome cocktail menu & sticky wings on the menu! Server was new so needs a little more of experience. We were amazed when we got the bill: $66 bucks for food for 4 and 2 cocktails. We WILL be back!

I highly recommend checking out Juche. They have interesting food, a cool bar/lounge ambiance, and great service.Food - Love that the menu is labeled with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. I'd classify the food as fusion. Some of my favorites are the PB&J with kimchi , chips with Korean salsa, five mandu and tofu. It's a flavor adventure and definitely worth a try.Ambiance - The restaurant is small, it's a dark lounge and has a cool vibe. Haven't really been to many places like it in MN but it reminds me of bars I've been to in CA and AZ.Drinks - I've tried few drinks here. My favorite by far is the primal wound. It's a sweet and spicy flavor bomb without being too sweet. They also infuse soju and have rotating flavors.

Brunch was delicious, we were seated quickly and ordered our drinks. The peach Bellini was really good and it wasn't super strong.I love the atmosphere here, from the wall decorations, and all the thought put into the bathroom and table decor.Hamdi was a wonderful server, I enjoyed my fruit and shrimp and grits. There is street parking and limited space parking in front of the entrance, both are free.We had a wonderful experience and we are already planning our next visit!

Weekend get-away with friends in Red Wing, Mn. Such a clean, pretty little town! The Port restaurant is located in the historic St.James hotel. Very nice restaurant with an interesting, eclectic menu. We tried the beef filet, chicken with mole sauce, the halibut and the spanikopita. Everything was delicious except the beef filet was a bit tough. And then we decided to split a dessert and decided on the Baked Alaska. It was amazing! Olive oil cake, blackberry sorbet and a light meringue- flamed with Cointreau table-side. It was amazing! Very nice meal in a very cool old hotel.

"I'm not very impressed with the food at Beartown; it's mostly a neighborhood sports bar where locals drink beer and watch sports on TV.I was super hungry after a visit to my doctor. And I was looking forward to some hearty food. My server suggested the signature Beartown Burger.Overall, I was pretty disappointed with Beartown. I was the only person in the dining room ordering food. (There were only a handful of people at the bar.) So I expected a great burger, served quickly. My "famous" Beartown Burger & onion rings took half an hour to come out. Keeping an eye on my watch, I knew what was going to happen before the food hit my table. Of course, it was way over cooked to hell. The flavor certainly didn't warrant the "famous" label and it didn't live up to the Beartown restaurant name. The onion rings were okay but mostly flavorless and boring. I was hungry enough to eat a fried raccoon sphincter so it wouldn't have taken much to impress me. But they managed to drop the ball.I had an hour to watch everyone else at the bar. This is obviously a place where locals can hangout to drink and watch a game. Most of the people seemed to know each other. The prices are okay so I guess it's also a good place to bring kids that don't care much about food quality...or if you plan to get drunk and don't care much about flavor because you're half in the bag.My server was great. She was spot-on and on top of everything. Too bad the food didn't match up to the service.I'm being generous and calling them a 3 and hoping that - maybe - I just caught them on a bad day. In reality, my visit was probably closer to a 2.I probably won't be back.-Daddy Maxx Retro"
"We made a reservation here while in town for the Big Turn Music Fest and because of a snowstorm had the place almost to ourselves. We loved our pre-dinner drinks, one delicious June Bug (think a tequila mule) and an extra dirty Martini, as well as the fact that the hot and fresh sourdough baguette came whipped fresh butter and homemade tart rhubarb preserve. The dinner got even better with a really nice thick cut Prime Rib and market fish, a rare yellowfin tortilla crusted Tuna. The steak came with whole baked potato and trio of dipping sauces and the tuna came on a large bed of mashed potato, cauliflower, and kale. Both were well seasoned and flavorful and we can't think of anything they could do better!"
"Love this place. Food it consistently good. Good portions. Lively place with lots of gambling choices if that's your thing. There about 2-3x a month"
"Great place! We stayed on the lake for a week and were regulars. We felt like locals by the end of our time and we only visited them 4 times. It's kinda neat when you call to reserve your piece of pie (insider tip!) and they recognize your name and ask (by name) if your wife wants anything also. Here's what we ate over the course of those four visits and some reflections:Cheese curds - tasty little fried yummies! If you're not familiar with them, just give them a shot. Italian beef - served with melted mozzarella on a toasted garlic roll. The meat is tender and flavorful while the onions and peppers are sauteed to the point where they developed a slight sweetness. A great sandwich that we split, along with the cheese curds.Pizza w/ sausage & onions - there's a 30-minute wait because they are working with house-made dough and it shows up in the taste. This is NOT a frozen pizza heated behind the bar kind of place. Their sausage is Chicago-style so it's long on flavor. Added in nice size hunks, it steals the show. Bountiful fresh veges plus a thick layer of cheese adds up to a great tavern-style pizza. We ordered their 12" and split it with leftovers.Taco pizza on Mexican night was a surprise. Who would have thought the best taco pizza either of us has ever been served would have come from a place on a lake in the North Woods?!? Yep. Same crust but Darlene made all of the taco fixings for Mexican Mondays and either added them to the pizza or served them on the side. I really enjoyed the presence of refried beans as well - a unique twist that really works. Guac, sour cream and salsa on the side all enable customization or are yummy with some of the bountiful tortilla chips on top of the pie. Another sausage and onion pizza the evening before we left...eaten on the boat at their dock. Yes, they have bar service, table service, deck service, picnic table service and even boat service. Pull up to their dock, give a call to let them know you've arrived and your boat is your private dining area.General notes about their pies. Darlene presents as a small-town lady but holy hell does she bake up a storm! She has favorites that she makes and nothing will be as mundane as a piece of apple pie. We had two slices during our time on the lake: lemon chiffon with whole blueberry glaze and a slice of strawberry cheesecake. Both were nothing short of amazing and absolutely worth calling in advance to reserve. We split the piece and had plenty both times we ordered pie. General notes about the owner and staff. The wait staff was amazing! Even in the difficult COVID times, they provided impeccable service and were really friendly and open people, without exception. Andy is the owner, or possibly one of the owners. When we rented a house on the lake, I asked for some local referrals and he was one that I received from Dani at Hayward Vacation Rentals. Andy helped me set up the local network that I used to plan and execute this vacation. He pointed me towards a few options for boats to rent and have delivered right to our dock (Barry is the MAN!). He gave me the name of Farm Boyz Mercantile as well as numerous other referrals. In short, he provided the "local knowledge" that resulted in us having a fantastic week on the lake!COVID-19 notes:All employees are wearing masks and/or face shields. All employees were wearing gloves.Spacing on the deck is spread out but I did not go inside so no information there. We found a picnic table and used it as our place for all but the last visit when we dined on the boat. Full prevention measures were observed and we had a great time, even with the inconvenience of masking-up each time a server approached our table.Give them a shot, even during COVID, and tip well!"
"On Belknap ("bell-nap"), one of the main drags in Superior, WI, two blocks west of the other main drag, Tower Avenue, you'll run into one of the area's largest liquor stores, the Keyport, which has an attached bar and grill of the same name. If you're driving around looking for it, it's in the outlot of Super One Grocery. They frequently have live entertainment, daily specials, karaoke, and a gaggle of big screen TVs for sporting events.Sampled the "Siracha Burger" from the full menu, which includes ciabatta sandwiches, wraps, salads, Mexican favorites, and pizza. The hand-formed char crust burger patty was painted with a siracha / bbq sauce mixture, topped with bacon, cheese, and onion rings. Tasty."
"I went to this on a party bus route. I had no idea there were male strip joints in Minnesota but then again, I never looked for one. Anyway, my girl was turning 25 and we had a crew of 6 giggly, intoxicated and loud girls. We bought her a private dance and she giggled her way through it. I must say, the dancers were nimble and we wanted to take them home as souvenirs. I recommend this place. Can't wait to go again. Honestly if you think this review has no use, it's probably because my recollection of that night is fuzzy at best"
"First off... Jennifer W. wouldn't know a good ambiance if it slapped them in the face... or so I assume, because this restaurant is the nicest establishment in this town, ambiance wise. I have eaten here on numerous occasions now and have been 100% pleased with each dish. I have yet to have the prosciutto bread so, it is unfortunate to hear the inconsistencies there, but am still going to try it, because "prosciutto bread". Have only had one experience that the service was subpar, but that is bound to happen from time to time. I will be back and I look forward to the market side opening for take out as well! I hope Roma's thrives and I hope the people of this small city learn to appreciate fine dining."
"I travel into the Rand tower hotel and always visit Miaou. Thr best part is their consistency and the staffs ability to remeber their past customers - regular travlers. The food is solid along with the wine list. Ben keeps everything on point with standards and excellent service - cannot go wrong with sitting at this bar and enjoying your time wirh the staff and great drinks. Awesome enviroment."
