"The staff here are super friendly and go out of their way to make sure you get what you need. Joseph, I think is the main manager, he was helping us check in. We ended up needing more coffee and cream and he gave us about 10 Keurig cups and an overflowing coffee cup full of little creamers. My boyfriend is Titanium, the top level for Marriott, and they upgraded us to a super nice suite with a king size room and a queen size room and a sofa bed and two bathrooms and a full kitchen. A sweet suite! The place was very clean, very new. The only fault would be the faucets are a little wobbly in the kitchen, but I think that's because people try to turn them and they're not supposed to be turned. And there was a container for paper towels, but no paper towels, we made-do you using tissues to wipe our hands. But it was so nice to be able to cook a spaghetti dinner and eggs and bacon for breakfast and have all the needed pots and pans and plates. And of course the beds! Love, love, love the Marriott bed, the Marriott pillows, the Marriott sheets, the Marriott duvets! Sigh. Also really liked the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi shampoo. Heavenly! On a Covid related note, there is no hot breakfast. There is supposedly some oatmeal packets and juice and yogurt behind the check in counter, but my teenagers were too shy to ask for it. Their loss. This hotel is smack dab in the middle of a Shopping area, every grocery stop /clothing shop /book shop /restaurant you could ever want is within walkable distance if you wanted, definitely drivable. And also the reason we were here -- the Quarry--is about 1.4 miles away and we will jump off the cliffs and swim all day...."
"This is our 1st ever B&B, Think we hit jackpot in this one. This couple retired & converted this old house into B&B. It's beautiful (feels like your deep in the south)They spent 18 months renovating this place, They will tell you all about the history of house built in 1880's.Breakfast is @ 9, Your about 15 min walk to restaurants. We had a great stay & the owners are great people.Breakfast was great, Everything we had was local products. They told us a story about a pizza place in barn, Sound we missed a great place. Loved the people & the town"
"We were very fortunate to have this right next to our rental house. Nice place. Plenty of drink options and one of the best old fashions I've had in years! A lot of care put into making it! Pool and darts were a hit. As for the food, we just stopped in for a snack but holy cow! You need to try the Looney Poutine. Basically giant tater tots, covered in cheese curds and country gravy. AWESOME. We'll be back!"
"The Hewing is a stunning boutique hotel. The rooftop is lively and has an impeccable view. Service at the bar is quick and I thoroughly enjoyed the espresso martini. Be ready to stand, seating is limited!"
"Stayed here over the 4th of July. Rooms were really comfortable and the place was very clean. Management was very friendly and everyone seemed really happy to be there."
"This place was a little unorthodox. There was no lobby. The key is in a lock box outside the quote door. However, it was a good stay. It was like a small apartment. We had two separate bedrooms, full kitchen, and a laundry room. It was clean and there were glasses, plates and silverware for use. The downfall is you wash your own dishes which made me uneasy. I washed everything prior to using it just in case the people before us didn't wash it well. We were in Suite #3 which had a private balcony overlooking the river. It was a great view. In all, I came into this place not expecting to like it, but I was pleasantly surprised."
"After spending a week in one of the properties here, I can happily say "stay here - you'll be so happy you did". Hubs, Sis and I stayed in the very clean 2-bedroom Rivers Edge cabin and hot damn, it was nice!We have a comfy living room with satellite TV, free wifi, a full kitchen with dishwasher, a full laundry, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a loft area with another bedroom, a private pier and perfect peace and quiet. Our place was recently built and the decor is "up north" classy. All of this bliss comes at a lower price than other resorts are advertising for condo units. Screw that, I don't want to hear other peoples irritating kids running around all day. We brought our own paper producers and food but other than that, this place is move in ready! If you don't want a full cabin there are a few lodge rooms in the main building which are fairly basic. The lodge itself is beautiful and a nice spot to stop for a drink if you're out on the lake. There's a large sandy swimming beach and play area for the kids, and a big lawn with places to sit and chill. Four Seasons is a pet friendly resort, with a reasonable pet fee and a very friendly yellow lab to chase tennis balls all day. Stay here - you'll be so happy you did!"
"Jill is a unique character and so is her establishment. She runs it very much like Dick's Last Resort (service with rudeness and sarcasm)! Her place is often busy and full of regulars. Her pizzas are well known and delicious! Many people arrive via their boat since Musky Run is also a five cabin resort right on Spider Lake. Be prepared for a shocking experience and a great time!"
"Dave and Brenda are excellent hosts. This is a beautiful spot to get away and enjoy nature! Great location under the stars great fishing and golfing also available. You won't be disappointed"
"A large group of us came to Minneapolis for a convention and most of us stayed in this hotel. It was a wonderful experience staying here for our week. My wife and I arrived very early... 10:30 AM early. Being Hilton Honors members we were allowed to check in at that time. Not a suite or oversized room... Just a very nice room on the 12th floor. It was a very reasonable sized room with a very comfortable bed and pillows with a nice size bathroom and walk in shower. The room had very large wrap around windows with a wonderful view of downtown Minneapolis. Directly across the street was the Wells Fargo building. As you walk in to the hotel off the street the main bar is straight ahead while the reception desk is to the right. Before you reach the reception desk, you'll walk past several very casual and comfortable seating areas. There's even a billiards table there. The bar / restaurant area always seemed very busy, especially in the evening when we came back from dinner. The bartenders and the servers were very friendly-outgoing-efficient. Overall, it was a great place to sit with my friends to relax / converse and laugh. The Breakfast Area / restaurant is on the 3rd floor. While I never came here for breakfast or lunch, my friends who did had nothing but great things to say about it. The hotel is located in the middle of everything - business and touristy places. Plus, the hotel is only one block away from the Mary Tyler Moore statue which I have visited multiple times. It was nice that we were only a ten minute walk from the convention center where most of my events were. Overall, this is an excellent hotel and I highly recommend it. KUDOs to the team at the The Marquette Hotel"
"Very comfortable and clean room and bathroom! I really liked the north woods theme. I will definitely recommend this to friends and family."
"This is one nice beautiful nicely appointed hotel in downtown St Paul. We stayed here for a wedding and we were very pleased in the hotel, the service and the quiet rooms. W had breakfast in the lower level restaurant twice and they did a superb job! We didn't get the chance to experience the main dining lounge.Beautiful hotel, responsive staff, downtown St Paul, excellent breakfast & lunch. As Arnold said, 'I'll be back!'"

I don't know if I've ever stayed at a hotel that is more clearly deserving of a 4-star rating. Here's why:Pricing: In the area, it is reasonably priced. I've also stayed at the St. Cloud Courtyard and Fairfield Inn, and this is a good price relative to those. It is new construction, so you get what you pay for. Rooms: The rooms are great, but just leave a little bit to be desired. For example, my shower doors didn't like up to close all the way, my sink faucet seemed a little loose, etc. Nothing that effected the functionality of the room, but just a collection of small stuff that becomes noticeable over the course of a week. Gym: Sufficient. a few treadmills, bikes, and 2 benches. Breakfast: Again, just sufficient. Nothing crazy, just does the job. Only complaint is that somehow the coffee comes out already lukewarm on occasion. That being said, it is Minnesota, so everything is just a little bit colder ;) Yelp defines a 4-star rating as "Yay, I'm a fan" and a 5-star review as "Woohoo! As good as it gets!". To put it simply, I am DEFINITELY a fan, but there are just some small things that keep me from saying it's as good as it gets.

This was my first experience staying at a b&b, and it was really great! The owners are extremely friendly and gave us really good restaurant recommendations! Both breakfasts we had were spectacular and filling! One morning was a fancy egg bake and the other morning we had cream cheese stuffed french toast! They also had fresh fruit and plenty of beverage choices. The room itself was decent. I think we had the smallest room in the house, so next time I think we'd stay in a bigger one. There was a huge jacuzzi, which was very relaxing after a day outside! The bathroom in our room was small and didn't have a shower. There is a shower on the main level that anyone can use if they don't want to take a bath. Our room didn't have a tv either, but there is still plenty to do! There's a game room with a TV on the upper level, and common rooms to sit and talk on the lower level too! Overall, this was a really nice place to stay!

Great bar, the lady who owns the place, was very nice. Drinks where priced good, and services was good. She also had good knowledge of the snowmobile trails, which was very helpful.

So fun! We visited for a rooftop concert and enjoyed our time. The rooftop has a bar and pool with a lot of space to lounge around. The views were amazing as well!

"I can't say how the food was because we didn't eat here but if you are looking for a northwoods experience complete with camo carpet and more mounts and deer horns than you can count, you came to the right place. The beer was cold too."
"It's hard not to give this venue 5 stars! An amazing spot for a wedding and Wendy and Kirk the owners are the best! Always there to make sure everything goes smoothly. My daughter choose this location for her wedding and it was truly amazing!! Let me start with the B&B. That's what sold it for my daughter. It has 5 rooms plus a bridal "get ready" suite. Our family was able to rent the B&B the night before the wedding too so most of the bridal party stayed there. It made for an easy transition into wedding day!The outdoor ceremony site is magical. The arch overlooking the grasslands and all the white chairs lined up makes the setting picture perfect. My favorite is the white door that's installed where all the bridal party walks through. The pavilion is way more beautiful than you would expect. With a few greens on the tables and the lovely chandeliers its way prettier than you would imagine. Then there's the historic Round Barn. For your venue there's drinks, dessert on the lower level and dancing with your preferred DJ on the top floor. Clearly a perfect venue for so many!"
"Hands down the best meal we have had since Covid!! Stuffed mushroom appetizer, fried shrimp and a NY strip. So tasty. Morgan, our server was Janie on the spot, all smiles and checking in frequently. Also very pleasing was the tastefully decorated wide open space and how the timing of when the food came out- finished appetizer, boom- here is soup/salad- finish that- boom- here is your entree."
"Whoa. As someone who didn't grow up in a church, I have a unique fascination for Celeste St. Paul Hotel. One of my coworkers told me about the history, and it was a fun stay overall. Beautiful aesthetic and comfortable hotel room. Downsides were stiff towels, weird smells, and lack of soundproofing. I did enjoy the complimentary breakfast buffet both mornings I was there. Service was very "heads down modest" but maybe that's just more MN culture. Would stay here again and actually make time to enjoy a few drinks at the bar next time!"
"Very friendly staff and owner. Great little rustic lodge good for a weekend of fishing. We rented their big cabin for the weekend and were amazed at how accommodating and spacious it was. You definitely get the north woods feel from this resort without traveling as far north. If your looking for a fancy resort with luxurious amenities, remember this is a cabin style resort for a weekend on the lake. Prices match what you get. We would definitely come back."
"I very rarely splurge with a night at a B & B, but after the delightful experience at the Golden Lantern Inn, I'm going to include this in my repertoire of special treats to myself. This was absolutely everything I was hoping for: not too far from the Twin Cities, close to the river, in a quiet town (Red Wing), small, great bed and a good shower. Of course the time I chose to visit, it was a gorgeous evening/day with low humidity, cool temps and bright sun (in the midst of a steamy July). The building was built in 1932 and is the former residence of a former president of Red Wing Shoes. The house was converted in the 90s for B&B use. It is immaculate and comfortable, and Sioux's attention and friendliness was appreciated. My room (Helen's Room)was a suite with a balcony. Very nice. A beautiful catalpa tree graced the balcony. The grounds are beautifully maintained. You can even have a cookout there if you like. There are several areas on the grounds where one (or a couple), can sit and enjoy the ambiance with sufficient privacy. You can choose to have breakfast served in your room, but I chose to sit with other guests in the bright sun porch. The coffee was excellent (I can be pretty fussy about coffee) and the breakfast was delightful: a baked egg and cheese dish, with fresh fruit, juice, thick bacon and a warm apple pastry with butter slowly melting over it. Oh baby! The occasional train whistle added to the experience of having reverted to a bygone age for a while. I will be back!"
"Charming and comfortable hotel in the heart of downtown Stillwater. But smaller sized room without a desk, couch, or any chair was tough. You will immediately fall in love with this very charming hotel with a coffee shop and borrowed restaurant attached in the little downtown of Stillwater! The staff was fantastic and very accommodating. My room was comfortable, and the bed was very good, and made for great sleeping! Very easy to valet your car here, it's a very unique little hotel, tucked away in this very fun town which is loaded with shopping, restaurants, bars, breweries, and distilleries in about three blocks or so. They'll just love this place!I had a few issues with the room, but comfort was not one of them. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very comfortable as well.I got a room on a fourth floor, and when I opened up my window on the fourth floor, I had a view of a parking lot and when I said I had a view of a parking lot, I mean there was a car park there and I could reach out the window and touch the license plate if I wanted too. I was surprised and I've never seen a car parked so close to a room before. But in fairness, I never heard the car once or anyone to get in the car and later I noticed the car had driven away. The furnishings in the room were lacking, probably because the rooms are very small here. But there was no desk and chair. I was traveling for business, so it's critical that I have a desk in my room. I realize a lot of people that come to this hotel are tourists, but even if I were a tourist, I like to have a desk and chair so that I could read materials, or sometimes I still have to open my computer and check emails. There was no such desk and chair in any of the rooms. I asked to be moved to a different one.But an even bigger concern was that there was no sort of chair or small couch. The only place to sit was a small bench at the foot of the bed that did not have any kind of Back support. Basically you could not sit in this room, except on the bed itself. Having back issues I really need a chair or couch to rest sometimes. When I sit up in a bed, I tend to slouch down, which isn't good for my lower back. Because of these reasons, I will not be coming back to this hotel, without either a desk and chair, or some sort of couch or lounge chair in the bedroom. Is this a good place to get a room if you're looking for a comfortable night sleep right in the charming downtown of Stillwater? Yes it is."
"Hampton Inn By Hilton Lakeville Minnesota is absolutely Beautiful. Just opened as of 8 months ago this hotel has all the amenities you'll need with the biggest perk being location. Near shopping and dining this fabulous hotel offers it all. Hospitality is above and beyond! You'll feel right at home... Cleanliness and arrangement of hotel rooms are Amazing! Entirely new and fresh this is a competitive hotel that will hold there own for years to come. I highly recommend this hotel whether your stay is short or long. 5 Plus Stars for being so ch a hidden Gem. Thanks for a pleasant stay and good luck."
"I like cheap hotels but I have definitely had better in the Midwest for the price paid. I asked for a non-smoking room and they gave me a smoking room. I was so tired that I didn't ask for it to be changed. I look young for my age so what's a couple years added on overnight bathing in third hand smoke. I woke up to a hole in the ceiling with water leaking all over the floor. It looks like it's leaking from the bathroom ceiling too! I have one word for this hotel, "Disgusting!""
"I give our room 3 stars and the hotel as a whole 1 balancing it out to 2.I took someone here for a surprise birthday present. I've stayed here before knowing its not the nicest place on earth but jeez, it's REALLY gone down hill since the last time stayed back in 2007. The girl at the front desk was nice and prompt after a very long journey down a very dirty hallway that smelled like water damage and cigarette smoke we got to our room which was very nice other than some stains on the carpet it was VERY clean. We had the Space Odyssey room which was cool the bed was huge and looks like a huge space ship. It also looks like they had put in a new television and couch very recently. The Cable on the TV was kind of grainy but that was no biggie because the room had a 1st edition Nintendo in it, they didn't have a great game selection but that was pretty sweet. We explored the rest of the hotel to find a bunch of broken vending machines, a broken ice machine and a closed pool and hot tub which looked like it's been that way for a while. Luckily there are TONS of cool things to do right around the hotel so we walked to the Grand Slam arcade down the street and had tons of fun. When we got back we enjoyed out HUGE jacuzzi in our room. It looked like some tiled had fallen off and they ghetto rigged it with cement which wasn't blended in very well but it didn't effect our experience and another tile fell off while we were in it. Other than that the jacuzzi was great, that and the Nintendo are probably the best part of the whole place. The woman at checkout was VERY friendly she checked our room for damage (there is a $100 deposit on all theme rooms) and was very nice and we got our deposit back in whole. Knowing the hotel isn't great I would go back because the theme rooms are great."
"The food & service is amazing especially during weekdays 2-5pm!! The appies are half price!! You can't go wrong!!!! They are very well portioned & delicious!!! The ambience today is beautiful (Valentines Day)!!!!"
"Great location on Lake Koronis. Indoor pool & spa is excellent for kids as is the beach & dock area. Many other recreational pluses: volleyball, biking/hiking, jungle gym, etc."
"Now called "Clam Lake Junction", this place has everything - gas, snacks, a small selection of groceries, jerked meat, beer, bait, cheese, beer and if that's not enough....motel rooms too.If you're enroute know that the bathrooms are clean, the people working here are nice and the gas tends to be cheaper than other places in the vicinity. Plus, it's in Clam Lake so you might see an elk stroll by."
"Amazing hotel, I enjoyed my experience here. They have everything I look for at a hotel and I was treated like a VIP. I got a first floor room, I'm right by the bar that was open late served by Terry the amazing bartender. Beautiful lobby! clean, cozy rooms. Awesome modern showers. Parking lot can get packed at times too but if you're coming to this hotel and I've stayed at many hotels in Minneapolis. This place is it!"
"Loved this boutique hotel! My company hosted a training event for our customers here recently and the layout for the conference room is stunning. Interior design is impeccable and space is very open and roomy. Catered meals for breakfast and lunch were very good, too! Not your typical hotel food. Hotel room was gorgeous and interior design again was well done. Easy walking distance to nearby restaurants and Lake Minnetonka. Room service for breakfast was affordable and service was speedy. Complimentary bottled water in the room (chilled drawer) was a nice touch. Bedding was very comfortable and soft. On the top floor, nice views of nearby restaurants and peek of Lake Minnetonka. Definitely would recommend this hotel and Wayzata for a getaway. Beautiful area and weather was perfect (late September). Lastly, greeter outside had excellent customer service. He always opened the car door for me when leaving or returning to the hotel. I was not expecting, but it was much appreciated. He also helped with my luggage into my Lyft ride to the airport. Thank you sir with the bow tie!"
"In town for a business function. I'm very impressed with the King room. It has everything you need including a mini fridge, ironing board and lot of USB/Power options around the room. I've already enjoyed the casino which is smoke free and the food has been fantastic."
"Wow! This place is awesome and the broasted chicken dinner is to die for. The atmosphere is great and if you're lucky you may catch the live music! The new owners Drew and Shauna are awesome and I promise this place will not disappoint!!!"
"Pretty sure that I stay here so often that any day now these guys are going to make me sign a lease! This was a 5ni stay booked in the Deluxe King & upgraded to the King Suite. As usual, it was an excellent visit. On approach, the lights of Viking territory are your guiding beacon to an unbelievably large, free, open parking lot. (Valet service at the door if preferred.)Expect a warm greeting from everyone you encounter on entry. If you complete the pre-arrival check-in, everything is ready for you on the board. One thing to note is the online check-in says to grab your own packet from the board on arrival, but the board is behind the counter. If you haven't registered for the loyalty program, I highly recommend doing so. We arrived to a meat and cheese board, turndown service and chilled drinks. Our request for extra coffee was also already taken care of & our daily drink card requests were picked up each night, with a 9am knock & drop delivery daily. Spectacular service! There are convenient & tasty dining options on site, including a fabulous mushroom pizza & cocktails are top notch, well worth the price point. Online check-out is easy & efficient. Although we rarely have much luggage, staff always offer to assist. Today the valets even offered to pour coffee for us as we loaded up the car!Would we go back? Let's just say, see ya next week!"
"*This review is strictly about the hotel stay as I did not dine here.*I enjoyed my stay at this quaint little hotel! It's a historic stone building that has part boutique hotel energy, part bed & breakfast energy. I really like the unique nature of it, with a memorable aesthetic and a friendly staff, as opposed to a generic key card dime a dozen hotel. It was a bit unique in that the restaurant was closed when I was here, so I had to ring the doorbell each time to be let in. All part of the quirky charm, and aided by the fact that the staff was friendly. My room was comfortable; the WiFi worked well for a few video calls, and the bed was super comfortable (especially the sheets). The temp was finnicky; quite cold even though I had it set to warm, but I didn't raise an issue with it and the blankets were more than enough. They also offer some coffee, yogurt, muffins, and apples each morning on every floor.Careful on the shower here! I flipped it from bathtub to shower and didn't realize it's like a volume knob on a radio. I turned it up to high and was flailing around like Kramer when he buys a black market high pressure shower head. It was seriously close to my power washer at home, but once I dialed it down it was more normal. Also really like the proximity here; went for early morning jogs on the Heritage Trail, walked to coffee and to work spots, and took a Lime bike down to the Twins game down Hennepin. Quite scenic and calm around here, too. Thanks for the stay, Nicollet Island Inn!"
"This hotel was right by the lake in a beautiful town and we were so excited to get a last minute place to stay that even offered a jacuzzi in the suite. However, we paid a lot of money for this suite, so we were quite surprised when walking in, as the only nice thing about this room was the said jacuzzi. Definitely was not the worst hotel i've stayed, just was not necessarily worth the amount we paid."
"Only hotel in town, yet not a value (in my opinion). To be fair, I've laid out the good & bad so you can decide for yourself. I hope the owners take this input and improve. Here are the highlights (which they did nothing to compensate for). The GOOD & BAD of it....#1. Had 2 beds reserved, even verified day before, yet only a 1 bed room available when we got there. Thankfully we were 1 toddler short on this trip. NOTE: Reserved this months ago. #2. Why do they photo copy drivers license? I'm scared now. Is that even legal? #3. Neat to have an atached garage entry. #4. Super clean shower & bathroom...#5...HOWEVER bedding needs careful inspection by staff (umm...short curley hairs not a great sign or something any guest wants to find...). #6. Mini fridge didn't work at all (yes, we plugged it in & know a lot about fridges). #7. ZERO washcloths. Not even one. #8. Only roll of of toilet paper was the one on the roll & fearfully low by AM. #9. Biggest issue though was fact that one very hard queen sized bed had only 2 tiny pillows. No more anywhere. I slept maybe 2 hrs. So uncomfortable. Just have clean pillows in the drawers like other hotels. #10. Nice sized flatscreen TV #11. Despite what their web page says, & despite the posted signs that say to help yourself to begals & juice, the fridge was literally LOCKED & NO CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. We were later told that management decided breakfast wasn't to be on every day. Seriously?? Would've been nice to know so we could plan ahead...or offer us a refund to compensate. #12. No one was ever at the front desk to talk to about any of this until AM, and there was nothing she could/would do besides apologize (yet she should've been authorized to offered something...anything). Paid $89 for 1 QUEEN BED/1 night. We've stayed in much worst hotels before, but never paid near this much. Just not worth anything close to that if you can make it to a Country Inn (or similar) with plush everything, working everything, clean/comfortable everything, pool, pillows galore and TWO QUEEN BEDS for $94. Really hope owners turn it around, provide minimum expected service for a comparable price, and not lie on advertising. If they stay the same & lower prices to $59 (without lying about offerings), then it might would be a 4-5 star rating. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH $89."
"This hotel did a great job. The pool was clean and our kids had a great time swimming. Room was comfy and spotless, there were no funny smells or suspicious spots. Front desk was hospitable. The location is convenient too. The continental breakfast wasn't anything special but they usually aren't anyways. We would definitely stay here again."
"I wish I could have stayed for the whole summer! From the moment I arrived for my 3 night stay in late May I was in awe of this North Woods treasure. The history, the look, the feel, the attention to detail and the incredible amenities are all just accents to the welcoming "human touch" provided by Andrew and Caroline. Booking was easy and seamless, and Andrew (who also offers a fishing guide service) was extremely personable and helpful. He also makes a helluva country breakfast! I stayed in the Moody's Camp suite, which I highly recommend for summer stays as it has a balcony overlooking the lake. The bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was perfect. I also used the sauna several times and played some pool in the newly renovated lower common area. On my last night I lit candles and did some work on my laptop while sitting on one of the comfy couches on the main level. Did I mention the lake views and access? I could go on and on and on. This place is simply INCREDIBLE. I can not wait to visit again."
