Jocelyn R. "I have driven by this place a million times and had NO IDEA they had a little coffee/lunch counter inside until a recent Yelp search alerted me to the fact?! My husband and I had a very nice lunch here, I loved my grilled cheese and soup, plus picked up some day old peanut butter chocolate chip cookies (YUM) and some nice lattes to fortify ourselves before a Target shopping run. There is a LOT to see here aside from food and this is a great gift shopping spot. I will absolutely come back here when I am in the area next time!"

Jennifer B. "Review 100 woohoo! I've really been on a chalk paint/vintage/rustic shop visiting spree lately and the Mama's Happy in Independence is one of my favorites! Always so charming and cute with well styled displays of chalk paint furniture and upcycled decor. The prices are very reasonable for a boutiquey kind of shop and I love that it supports this amazing group of hard working mamas who enjoy crafting.I've purchased a distressed craft table, a vintage bookshelf and a re-upholstered chair here. The ladies that run the place are always so nice and truly happy. Annie Sloan chalk paint, waxes, and brushes for sale as well. This is an occasional shop so it's only open about once a month (look on Their website for dates). Their other shops in St Paul, St. Louis Park, and Stillwater are open 7 days a week. Every time I come here there are constantly changing and exciting treasures to look at and find. Many times they offer complimentary wine or refreshing beverage to sip on while you peruse the store- how fun! On my most recent visit they had an open house of the "Makers Cottage" next door- a beautifully custom designed home with several rooms and an inviting deck available to rent for events or overnights or what have you. They also host an annual vintage market at the end of the summer in the backyard/field with many other vendors. Very limited parking in the driveway of the building mostly for loading items into your car. Just plan to park on the street unless you come close to closing time.I absolutely love the creativity and beautiful shop, it's a special place and worth the drive!"

Melanie L. "Not one of my regular thrift stores, but I do like to stop in now and then. Pretty standard as far as thrift stores go; however, they usually have a very good selection of furniture upstairs for amazing prices, which is usually why I stop!Just one word of advice: the hours are crazy and make no sense, so make sure to check the hours before you go!"

Kara D. "Well what the heck! I can't believe I've walked by this adorable store so many times without stopping in, or honestly even knowing it was there. Curiosity is across the street from Young Joni and Dangerous Man, and it is a lovely little place! When we entered, we were greeted by an employee. Not even just greeted; he also struck up friendly conversation. Nice! Literally! The store is small but mighty, boasting very eye-pleasing house wares, gifts, decor, and more. I was mostly interested in and impressed with their plant holders/pots, local and mindful infant toys, care packages for new mothers, dinnerware, wall decor, and other pretty little things made by local artists. I thought the prices were very reasonably considering the items were mindfully curated and mostly locally sourced. I really look forward to coming back and shopping here once we get settled in our new home. The friendly employee (or maybe owner??) said that they rotate their inventory often. He also said that they don't have a ton of local clout (hence me neglecting them this whole time), so stop in and tell them you saw them on Yelp!"

"This place is a wonderful and delightful place to visit...not only because of all the wonderful gifts and home decor you can find, but also because the owners and who are working at the store are SUPER friendly and genuinely appreciate your patronage. The items they carry vary seasonally and is there really fun stuff, they merchandise it in a great way that helps you envision it in your own home or cabin. (It's not just home decor...LOTS of great things for yourself and to buy as gifts). I highly recommend Modern Barnyard and a great way to support local."

Joanna T. "On a recent trip to Cable, my mom insisted we stop here. I wasn't expecting much, and assumed it was your typical "up north" store (you know the kind...cabin cute decor, some old lady bedazzled purses...)Well, I was wrong - WAY wrong. Mulberry Street does specialize in home interiors, but it's as far away from "cabin cute" as you can get. There are no chainsaw bears, or moose wine bottle holders. I didn't see one "up north" themed wall sign - not one! Instead, they offer sophisticated, upscale decor items at pretty reasonable prices. Think vintage French floral prints and sleek leather chairs. This location is bigger than it looks with several rooms in the back. In addition to items for the home, they hqve a small but quality selection of bath/body and candles. There's a coffee and wine bar as well and I am told that the owners make the best pumpkin cookies around.Mulberry Street does have a location in downtown Hayward but that locale offers more in the way of fashion, accessories and kids wear vs. home decor.I was really impressed with the level of quality in the merchandise here - if you're redecorating your home in the area and can't abide another loon placemat, Mulberry Street has you covered."

Michele B. "Cute shop! Though I love the Independence, MN, location better because it's in an old creamery building out in the country so it's bigger with more nooks and crannies to explore. This spot is a nice fix closer to home with super cute home decor made out of found objects and antiques. I found most of their prices spendy, but I am more of a do-it-yourselfer/ crafty type. I still found lots of great ideas! I even bought an old pill bottle and have a list of a few other items I will go back to get, budget willing. My Mom got a peony type flower made out of old sewing patterns! Super cute! Our other fave ideas were old coffee carafes as planters and Ball jars painted metallic! They also have the old-fashioned milk paints for sale or for classes which antique wood nicely. Definitely check this store out!"

I did find a cast iron santa bear cookie mold pan for $4.99. The prices seemed a little high and many items were junky. This store was a former Red Owl in its past. Probably one and done for me. I found Welcome Amish Furniture on the web, perused their online gallery of chairs and sofas, and decided to make the trip to Albertville today. Well worth the visit. My wife and I ended up buying a recliner chair, a rocking chair, and a recliner sofa. Prices are very amenable for the quality of the product. All special ordered, available in 8-12 weeks. The staff is very helpful (no pushy showroom tactics) and friendly. The show room is HUGE at 40,000 square feet! Highly recommended."

The lady at the front desk was super nice to my wife and my kids and was very uncommon dating with us having small kiddos. She even recommended a little Park in downtown Stillwater that was great for kids. The building itself is worth the walk through as it is very unique with many different levels and lots of different things to look at."

Phil G. "We are in Minneapolis, visiting our daughter and son in law, who bought a very cool house in Plymouth. As loving parents, we want to help them furnish their home with furniture they will cherish. Repurpose Republic has the best stuff and the best prices in the city. I know, because we spent all day checking out consignment stores in every nick and corner of the Twin Cities. (They're certainly not identical twins!) The proprietor Doug is engaging and informative. He has an eye for a pieces that are architectural beauties. Yet, he can also turn that basement throw away into something that should be displayed in the Museum of Modern Art. Repurpose Republic is the kind of place you want to return to often, just to see what new beauty shows up on the showroom floor.Unfortunately, Repurpose Republic was our first stop, and I was exhausted with all the wasted hours visiting other consignment stores. Save yourself some time and just "hit up" Repurpose Republic. It's the best."

Michelle A. "I shopped here about 25 years ago. The store is massive. You will find housewares, crafts, expired groceries, hardware, etc. I wandered throughout the whole store. They get excess liquidation stuff from dollar tree, dollar general, Costco, etc. I found a few things. You need to really check expiration dates, to me anything from Dec 2022 should be OK in January 2023. Upstairs has furniture and pictures. Prints of Adam Thurman who has the quirky puzzles were $120. They had target field, us bank stadium, etc for $120. I saw a cool buffalo picture for $189. 4/5 stars as cashier was this older lady who sat down and wasn't friendly and did not say thank you after my purchase. They 10 key enter everything too, so super slow.Review 6 in 2023"
