"A strip-mall outlet of pure delight. These crusty flavorful empanadas are so so good and at $3.75 each a great deal. I especially liked the chorizo and the ham and cheese. They've got quite a few varieties. We've been here twice now and got a few frozen ones which were easy to heat in a toaster over (20 min) without any noticeable difference in quality from the ones we ate at the restaurant. There are two sauces that accompany-a seasoned sour cream and a chimichurri made with olive oil and herbs-both are great. They are situated in a small strip mall with a weird one-way parking lot but that's the only negative about this gem. Definitely worth the drive."
"The vibes, the staff and the ice cream for the lactose sensitive, were a hit when we visited MN Nice Cream. We ordered the Happy Camper Sundae and the Fancy Affogato. This soft serve is a tasty milk ice texture that brings you back to the old school soft serve days. I loved having a perfectly "burnt" marshmallow and the presentation was fun and light hearted. The affogato was to die for. I appreciated the strong pull of warm espresso with the creamy ice cream ( if it hadn't been 6p in the evening, I'd probably had 1 more). Great place for kiddos with good outdoor seating and space to play a little. Parking was a non issue."
"Man. This place has blown up and reservations are needed. I kid you not, they have a ton of indoor and outdoor seating and walk up for about a dozen at the bar but even that is a 1/2 hour to 45 minute wait. Besides this being quite the success story (food truck, small business on Larpenteur, to this location and possibly one happening in Mpls), the food is really kickass! First let's start with drinks. Since La Tapatia took over a former New Bohemia space, they kept ALL the tap lines. I think I remember the bartender saying that there were 30 lines and 25 of those are probably local lines which is pretty cool. They also offer all sorts of other drinks from wine to marg's and more. The food and soup's are amazing. The cebollita's (small fried onions), are crack! Everything is fantastic about this place. And then last year, wifey and I tied the knot and we used La Tapatia to cater it. I had heard horror stories about other couples using food trucks with slow service and La Tapatia crushed it. They premade everything and even had vegetarian options. It wasn't just beans & rice for the non-meat eaters, we were able to offer up Abe's moms' special recipe of pineapple tamales. Wow! We had been in Mexico City earlier that year and had some cranberry tamales and they were so good. The pineapple though blew my mind they were so good. It's not gonna be anything you see on the menu. Seriously, this is really a great success story and if you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and make a reservation."
"This is such a cute cafe with amazing food! Counter service with self serve water. The staff was very friendly and speedy with my food. I highly recommend the pork. It was soo tender it just fell apart. The seasoning was subtle with just the right amount of saltiness. The rice and beans were bland but were a good carb to soak up the juiciness of the pork. The sweet plantains were perfect in every way. They had beautifully crunchy bottoms from being fried. The arepa con queso was good. There is a sweetness with the butter and maybe in the corn masa itself. Its very dense and rich, i would recommend splitting with a friend if possible."
"This is the best authentic taqueria on Central North of 27th, hands down. This includes St. Anthony, the rest of Columbia Heights, and Fridley. Brothers taqueria in St. Anthony? Forget it. Catrina's? If you want gringo tacos. What about Cetnro/Vivir? I try my best not to overpay for ethnic food. Period. Yes that goes for my own ethnic food, Cantonese. When we go to El Tacos Locos we usually get either tacos or burritos, and a quesdilla for the child. If you like Lengua you need to get that. If you dont mnow what that is skip it. They also have Mexican cake for dessert! Yes the Tres Leches is calling your name. Prices have gone up over the years, but it's still the most reasonable taqueria. For the record we stay with the working man's taqueria. When I want tacos, I don't need to pay for your fancy build outs or craft NE microbrews. That's what the brew pubs are for. No I don't want to pay $4-5 for a taco, ever. Sorry rant over.Skip the "trendy" nordeast wannabe taquerias. Come here or El Taco Riendo instead. Them them your ethnic foodie friend "El Chino" sent you."
"Who would have thought that there would be various ways of making Grilled cheese sandwiches?! Once I became open to the concept of adding other ingredients to my grilled cheese, I ordered the BACHN- Bacon, Apple, Havaiti Cheese, Honey, Walnuts. It Comes with a side of tater tots, salad, or classic creamy tomato soup. I usually always get the tater tots, but I ask them I hold off on the salt. They can be very heavy handed on the salt. The tots also come with two options of dipping sauce: red pepper aioli and something else creamy and house-made. The menu changes but they seem to keep the staples. Also sell, they sell Dough Dough which is an edible cookie dough. It comes in two flavors: chocolate chip and a vegan version. While they are known mostly for their food truck, I tend to always visit their skyway location downtown Minneapolis."
"Not sure why this comes up as a truck, maybe it used to be, but it isn't anymore. Everything we got from here was great! Prices are fair, orders come out quickly, and accurately. Definitely recommend"
"Wow!! I've only had this food truck once so can only speak to the al Pastor (which I had in a bowl). First it was huge, I'm a fat ass foodie and it filed me up, so that's a plus!More importantly, it was excellent!! The meat was great and the grilled pineapple chunks were plentiful, and needed as I dumped 2 of the homemade hot sauce on top of it all. The sauce was great and had a good heat level.Edit: went back a second day in a row, got my SMOKING hot wife the al pastor bowl (she LOVED IT)Got myself the carne asada bowl, wonderful!!!The owner is a very nice dude!! Waited Mabe 15 minutes as he was busy with on line (door dash orders), well worth the wait!! Check this truck out"

Although I have had empanadas before, I didn't care for them; what led me to try Del Sur will forever be a mystery but holy smokes I'm glad I did!I ordered a Spinach and a Corn empanada and both were bursting with flavor and gooey cheese. No salsa required! The crusts were flaky and thin, perfectly cooked and beautiful, unlike the thick empanadas I had elsewhere with a teaspoon of filling. Next I had the Del Sur Salad, chock full of goodness with spring greens, hearts of palm, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, and a lick-the plate-good chimichurri vinaigrette. Absolutely delicious. Writing this review has my mouth watering, so time to place another order. :-D***Update! I ordered more empanadas and a grilled cheese with roasted baby potatoes! I had five empanadas and there was a chart showing what each one was by the letters embossed on the corner of each.

Important note: this is a soft serve + fun toppings ice cream shop. It's not traditional ice cream.$: it's expensive. My husband and I paid $15-16 for 2. Could we have shared 1? Yes. Did we? No.Parking: a pain. It's near breweries and other businesses and there's no lot. So you'll likely drive around for a few minutes to street park if it's a busy summer night.Set up: Once you get into the building, you need to wait in line that wraps into the hallway of the building itself because the ice cream shop it's self is narrow. So after you wait to park you wait to get in, haha. Staff was nice! Shop was fun and colorful! If you don't prefer soft serve through, it's not worth the money. I've never hated it, just never loved it and don't feel the need to come back!

I brought friends from China here so they could experience Mexican food for the first time. I like how you can customize your dish here by protein, toppings, etc., just like ordering from a food truck or taco stand. My favorite tacos are street-style with tomatoes, onion, and cilantro so the meat is the star, so we ordered some like that and some Tejano style (with crema and a sprinkle of cojito.) We ended up with 5 plates of 2 tacos each, an order of chips and guacamole, and added a burrito with everything for my friend's giant teenage son who's always hungry. The servers were all super-nice and helpful, letting us order a few things at a time so we could try different combinations. (We had the good sense to show up about 2 pm so we could order the Happy Hour specials: 2 tacos for $6!) The place is casual but pulled together: good music, comfortable decor. It's cool, not kitschy, and everyone on staff was super nice.

We stopped in on a Thursday morning. Note: the Brunch menu is available on the weekend. The corn arepas were deliscious and slightly sweet. The sausage and egg were well cooked. Very tasty meal!

This place is easy to drive past, but once you explore this unassuming dining spot, you'll quickly realize that you've stumbled upon a culinary treasure. I recommend getting the steak nachos - the chips have a satisfying CRUNCH, are loaded with fresh ingredients, and topped with well-seasoned steak asada cooked to perfection. Wash it down with a cold sidral apple soda and your day has been made with a delicious and filling meal!

If you're craving grilled cheese, this is the place. Great variety to choose from. They even serve alcohol! They have a small seating space but you can also grab a buzzer if you want to sit elsewhere in the food hall. The staff are super friendly.

9/10 - when the tacos are huge, cheap, and only topped with onion + cilantro, you know it's authentic as heck! The meat was flavorful and not too dry, the service was friendly and very fast, and the best part was the condiments! Looks at the various hot sauces that are available at this place! It's one of those hole in the wall restaurant that you can't stop talking about.

The burritos here are top notch. One of the best food trucks around. I can't stop eating the carne asada burrito!

"How is it that I can find things like Cachete, Alambre and Birria in the Midwest on a food truck by accident (I'm doing network field testing just 80 ft from it), but not while going out of my way to find something different while living in LA for 22 years (OK, MAYBE Birria at one restaurant)?!?The food was very good too, but I didn't think to take a pic of the food , but just the side of the food truck."
"I can guarantee that every single person has their own favorite taco place. I can also guarantee that debating where to get the best tacos in the Twin Cities is as heated as the 2020 debates. While I can't say that Tacos Tacuba has the best tacos in the Twin Cities, I can say that they do have some pretty damn tasty tacos.Since it is a food truck, the menu is pared down compared to a brick and mortar location, but that doesn't mean that Tacos Tacuba skimps on the pure variety of their dishes. From tacos, to tortas, to gringas, to gorditas with prensado de chicharron, Tacos Tacuba really does feel like authentic Mexican food from the streets of Mexico City transplanted to Burnsville. I tried their gorditas de prensado de chicharron, which was pretty tasty but not really my style. I do love tacos though, and their tacos were amazing! I tried the chorizo, the asada, the al pastor, and the cochinta pibil. They were all flavorful and huge, and generous for the price! The chorizo in particular had a really nice sweet smokiness that I hadn't found in other chorizos. There also aren't too many places that have cochinta pibil, which is a slow roasted shredded pork seasoned with a variety of spices. Tacos Tacuba did it so well, I'm tempted to go back just for the cochinta pibil. They also provide green or red hot sauce, and the hot is HOT. I'm talking sweat down your brow hot. The tacos do come with some raw sliced beets, which I guess if you like beets, it's great? I could do without. The staff are super friendly, and they work to get your order out as soon as possible. You do have to wait, sometimes up to 30 minutes if there's a few orders in front of you, but you can definitely wait in your car if the weather isn't that good. There are a few stools to sit and eat if you prefer too. Tacos Tacuba might be my new favorite taco spot, and it's a welcome addition to the south metro."
"Delicious food and prices are fair. I usually don't review my first time around but my lengue (tongue) and asada (steak) tacos were delicious. Plus this place didn't even have a page so I thought it needed some advertising. I like to hit different small mom and pop places and the asada was one of the best I have had in this state. We also had the eaquite and that was fantastic. Think elote but in a cup, not on the cob. For me, this place is out of the way but when I'm passing through, I'll definitely stop. If you're in the area, you are lucky."
"Fantastic tacos, the El Pastor was phenomenal, especially when enjoyed after a long bike ride while admiring a red hot sunset on a rare warm evening in March! 10/10 - I must return to try all the tacos! Love the friendly staff, best moment of 2024 yet"
"The pizza is delicious!! We had the double roni and margarheta pizza. Both were delicious!! We got our food very quick and the staff were very nice. I loved that they have a small arcade area where you can play card games, racing games, and claw machine!! Such a cute little slot to hang out while you wait. Will definitely be coming back."
"Was in the area and noticed the food truck was still open, stopped by to ordered the Philly Cheese steak, Gyro sandwich and the waffle fries. First, the waffle fries, I think for $3 there should be more than 10 pieces of fries, these are about 2"-3" pieces and the rest are crumbs, taste itself is okay, the gyro sandwich I would rate 4/5, love the freshness of the sauce along with the cucumbers, the meat was pretty dry, could be that I'd ordered around 6:45pm. The Philly I would rate 3/5, love the toasted bun along with the meat, for some reason, every time I take a bite out of the cheesy area, it has a huge taste of salt, like the cheese was salted more than the steak. In my opinion, this is like more an $5-$6 Philly at best, for $8, you'd expect more."
"After work recently, my coworker and friend lil yang wanted to try this food truck out. She heard they were doing a BOGO 1/2 Off Deal on their Hot Cheeto Sushi-Ritto. I love Sushi-Rittos, and who doesn't enjoy Hot Cheetos. I am a fan of anything spicy. We ordered, and asked to get one without Avocado. They were quickly made, and handed to us, the server noted which was the no avocado for us. We took a few bites and it was good. The hot Cheetos gave it a nice little kick, but wasn't as spicy as I was hoping. The filling included a spicy mayo, but I didn't feel it was that spicy at all. If I had hot sauce on hand I would have added some more, but I didn't, so I couldn't. The Ritto itself was good, and if given the opportunity, I would get it again, however idk if I'd go out of my way to get it. The service was wonderful, and the owners were very nice to work with. I do have a 10% off from checking in on Yelp, so maybe I'll use that next time. 1 Sushi-Ritto is $14 + Tax. With the BOGO 1/2 Off our total was $22 and some change. Kind of a lot for something 'special', that turned out to be not that special. Overall, I'm going to give it 4-Stars. It was a little better than okay, but there is still room for a lot of improvement if they wish to continue to succeed in my opinion."
"Agree with reviews about the great food. Hard to believe their picture of the thick beef filled quesadilla, but it was true. The longer wait for food is also true. If you see a few people standing outside as you drive by, keep driving and stop another day."
"nearly everything about this place i love!food: very good. tasty; authentic; good portionsprice: reasonable. considering prices today and inflation, one of the better deals around wait time: FAST. granted i was the only one dining in but they also had orders coming in for pickup. had my food out to me within 10 minutes. awesome!i went with a more basic order purely based on cravings and wanting a simple meal: asada quesadilla meal, which includes beans and rice. i ate about 2/3 of the plate. likely plenty of food for most.i will come back! check this place out and support local."
"Just had jhol momos. Excellent! Restaurant is basic and clean. Food is wonderful! Service is friendly."
"I am very pleased to put these guys on the map. Was told about this place from a friend that works down the street from Locos Tacos. He could not stop ranting about this place. So we gave it a try. As far as appearance, this place would be considered a "hole in the wall" restaurant. But 9 times out of ten, those are the most delicious and authentic places you want to eat. And this place did not disappoint! Check out their website for a description of what they have. I had a beef quesadilla, and a tamales. I get why my friend was ranting about this place. Very authentic. Very delicious. Great job guys, see you soon."
"100 out of 10! Delicious, busy, fast, excellent food, and a great deal. Adorable storefront with a walk-up counter and friendly staff. There is a little sitting area to hang out. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and the bowls were fresh and filling. Faribault teens love to drive all the way to Rosemount for Chipotle but they can save their gas money now because at Twisted Chicken the quality is higher and the prices are lower lol! I will be back."
