"Just used TST catering for a conference in St. Paul. They were great. Very prompt with delivery, the food was very tasty - I ordered the taco bar and boxed lunches for the second day. Everyone was extremely satisfied with the food and Stacy was always very responsive to my emails. If I lived in MSP, I would use them regularly."
"Updating a previous review, this is now our favorite Mexican place in Blaine. Food is great, service is good, the restaurant is roomy and nice. I especially love that it smells like Fabuloso, gives it that real authentic Mexican feel. (This is not a joke, legit brings me back to my travels in Mexico!)I love that they have a sope option in the build your own meal. So good!!"
"Best flavors!!!My favorite potato salad ever. Not your standard mustard, but delightful dill instead! The coleslaw is tangy and crisp! The pulled pork is delicious! Everything they make is amazing....Follow this food truck!!!"
"This is a cute quiet cafe in downtown Belle Plaine. Some antique style reproductions adorn the walls to add to the old fashioned theme. The menu is strictly all American from egg dishes to the lunch sandwiches, most served hot. There is a modern selection of wraps, mostly of chicken. I had the hot sandwich of Grilled Ham & Cheese, and coldn't help but overhear two other customers order the same. Great possibly fresh baked bread and a high quality of ham and cheese certainly make for a quick tasty lunch. They didn't make iced tea for the day which is almost a bummer but the coffee was fine and they do emphasize they have a bottemless cup. The few staff seemed busy in the back with their catering business as the older wood structure stretches back quite far. The cafe is very little with probably 12-15 tables. This is a nice home cooking place in the old town section and they have weekday specials."
"K&J were amazing to work with for our family wedding. The food and service were excellent. They guided us through the planning of our event for which we received many compliments including the awesome food. Fun and wonderful time for all."
"I originally went to Hayward Bakery and Cheese Shop because I was headed home after a trip to Hayward and wanted to pick up something local for my office back home. The chocolate store further down the street was super packed and frenetic, so I decided on something at this store. There was a fair number of people inside, but the shelves and display cases seemed rather bare. It wasn't even that late in the day, but about 60% of their stock was gone. Hmmm...Ultimately, I got a loaf of cranberry bread, which was tasty and pretty big. But in terms of getting something that is local or special, I don't really think this is the place. They only had bread. To be perfectly honest, I should have gone to the chocolate store."
"We used Chowgirls Catering for our agency holiday party this week and they were an absolute hit! From planning to execution, the staff was wonderful and helpful. They helped us plan the perfect menu of small bites, while taking in our feedback about our guests. Delivery, setup and takedown was perfectly on time and Nicole was a pleasure to talk with and work with! The food from Chowgirls is phenomenal! The whole agency was raving and asking where it was from - we even had a couple of people want to use them for their upcoming celebrations! Some highlights for me included:* The hot chocolate tarte was rich and delicious - and it truly was a hot chocolate flavor!* The apple manchego sandwiches were the perfect blend of fall flavors, and everyone was shocked it wasn't a dry sandwich with all the toppings! It was a crowd favorite. * the steak skewers were perfectly cooked and tender, even served cold!* The mezze platter was delicious and filling, with some unique flavorsOverall, I would recommend Chowgirls to anyone and would definitely use them again!"
"This smoked bbq is legit! The brisket and burnt ends are amazing, the rib tips are meaty and full of flavor, and the wings are some of the best I've had! Seriously don't miss out on this experience, it's really good food! If you want to top it off with a little desert the banana cream pudding in the mason jar is lit! That's if you have any room left for desert. Can't say enough good things about this place, all around great food. I'm from Chicago and go for the Bears games, the bbq is the highlight of the game! The owner is a great guy and knows his bbq, he's mastered the smoke!"
"The build your own omelette was huge and it was only $6.99. The staff was very friendly and service was great. Getting some street tacos to go as well. They're in an office building, downstairs on level C. I'll definitely be back to try other menu items."
"Todd Scheel and team catered our mom's funeral luncheon for us and we were so glad he did. We chose a meal of meatloaf, red potatoes, green beans, rolls and butter, just like our mom would have made for a Sunday afternoon dinner. He even prepared an off-menu item of broccoli salad at our special request (spoiler alert, it was delicious!) since our dad does not care for leafy salad. It was a hit! The green beans were not over cooked like so often happens with a green cooked veg when catered. The value and quality exceeded expectations. We would definitely hire again."
"We love the Burgers! They have the smash burger thing down. Simple menu, decent portions. Prices..... A bit steep! Combined with a brewery that they're parked at and you'll hit $100 bucks in no time."
"FYI: Same as Blue Note Supper Club. They made burgers and fries for 46 employees on short notice and the burgers were phenomenal!!"

Excellent experience with TST. My employer used them for a holiday dinner yesterday. Both 1st and 2nd shifts were handled well. (Approx 165 people) The food, turkey, stuffing, red potatoes, breadsticks and veggies were all tasty. Great customer service, professional and clean-up was timely. Feedback from the employees re the food has been positive. Thumbs up! Thank you, TST, for making our event a success.

Food: Salsa was good and had a bit of a kick to it, chips where stale, Carne Asada was average and the burrito tasted purely of overcooked steak and a liquidy cheese sauce that made my stomach do flips.Service: main guy was nice, other then that nothing of noteAmbiance: Nice looking place with good music

This pertains to the cafe, not the catering business. Perhaps that could be spun of into its own review. With that said, I'm surprised the proprietor runs a successful catering operation considering what I was served on the morning of May 5. One of the first things I noticed was the lipstick stain on the coffee cup sitting on the table and that the water glass might double as an antique.I ordered an appetizer basket with onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and chive fries. I also ordered a cup of the homemade beef barley soup. The marinara sauce served with the mozzie sticks was ice cold. The ranch dressing for the onion rings was clearly the cheap, generic stuff out of a bottle. The beef barley soup had some nice cuts of celery that accompanied that primary ingredients, but all I could taste was salt. No need for the saltines that came with...The service was a little worse than desultory. No one checked back in after my food arrived except to drop the check. The high school girl checking me out didn't say thank you or anything after finishing the transaction. The $2.00 tip was $2 too much. Definitely do not recommend. This town sorely lacks decent eating spots. Someone who came in and put forth a minimal effort would likely be a huge success.

Defiantly the best bakery in Hayward but nothing out-standing. I thought the donuts were good. They are are large, fluffy and sweet. I like the cows especially. I had a cake pop and a day old brownie and thought they weren't good at all. It seems that a lot of the items they sell are not fresh. I went here a few days in a row and they had the cake pops out all of the days. On the first day I asked wether they would have the cake pops later too, they said they wouldn't be making new ones. However they stayed out for another few days, hence not fresh and I also feel they should be kept in a fridge. I also over heard them selling a bread that was two days old, to a women. Although I'm sure these items are ok, I just feel that bakeries are meant to serve fresh items.

"Amazing bbq - the sauce, the meat, the Mac and cheese were all fabulous. One of the best meals in MN."
"Best old fashioned donuts in the city! Don't believe me? Try them for yourself! Some local Minneapolis coffeehouse sell these donuts, but they're best right from their downtown bakery. They have a basic lineup, but create a number of specialty donuts each week. This time I visited and there was death by chocolate, chai coffee cake and so many more! They also make delicious parfait bowls and gourmet coffee drinks. See pics if weren't already feeling hungry!Be sure to get their newsletter and sign up for the birthday club."
"In town for Hockey decided to swing by and grab a couple sandwiches late afternoon. The store was really well organized and clean. Deli counter attendant was quick and making our sandwiches and friendly. The sandwich was delicious, turkey with chipotle aïoli and jalapeños, can't remember the name, but a great value at $5.99. We'll definitely stop back the next time we're in the area. The spotlight of our trip today was my interaction with Faith at the cash register. You can tell when someone really enjoys their job, and she was just that. Super friendly, welcoming, even service with a smile (which is rare these days). We love supporting local businesses and it is because of people just like Faith who enjoy interacting with the public that makes these experiences so memorable."
"We had Purple People feeder come to our Welcome back to school night and everyone loved the food and service! The pulled pork nachos and wings were the fan favorites. They were great to communicate with for scheduling. We hope to have them for more events in the future!"
"DELICIOUS treats & cakes!!! Taro cake rolls are SO good. they are weekend special, so make sure u go on weekend to get it. Love this place. SUPER nice owner too!! yummmy. I'm so in love with cake pops here too. And brownie bombs! Everything here rocks"
"I had a fantastic experience with Jessica at Pique Travel and Christie from D'Amico to plan my parents' 50th wedding anniversary party.Pique Travel Design is simply a beautiful space to hold an event. It is comfortable and gorgeous, and it was so easy to just tell Jessica what I was looking for and she helped to make sure the room would be set up with exactly what I needed.D'Amico... What can you say? The planning process could not have been better. Christie gave me an estimate, and we talked through it and came to an agreement on how much and what food was really needed, and the result was a perfect amount of food for the group in attendance. The set up of the food was amazing, and the staff on site was just AWESOME. They even helped us set up our decorations, they answered any questions I had, they were flexible with timing, and they even brought me a beverage as I was standing toward the back of the room chatting. All in all, the event was a huge success, and I am so impressed and happy with both Pique and D'Amico and the amazing service and care they put into this. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!"
"I've had such great experiences with a forgetful baker. I ordered Mother's Day cookies and cupcakes for my mom and sister in law and the were beyond gorgeous! I ordered my daughters smash cake for her first birthday and besides being adorable it tasted sooo delicious! I usually don't like frosting but this mango butter cream I ate by it's self! Today I got some taro cup cakes and they were sooo delicious! I didn't know what to expect but this was better than I could have expected! All the other things were great too the strawberry cupcakes, the 4in cake for the mom to be, but these taro cup cakes!!!!!"
"I just moved to St. Paul a couple months ago and was looking for a good chicken place! The Coop is absolutely delicious. I ordered the chicken strip basket and it was really good. I wish they had a veggie burger! The staff was very pleasant and I got my food quickly. I will definitely be back."
"We used Tinucci's to cater our wedding at Dellwood Barns and we got so many rave reviews on it! Firstly, Mark Jr was awesome to work with. He's always just a text away and was so responsive. We came in there for the taste testing and various other times to pay and he always offered us a meal for the road. They even gave us a wedding gift of a gift certificate for the next time we visited. Seriously, such good customer service. The food was amazing. When we went with them to cater, they were just getting their foot in the door at our venue and I'm so glad they were suggested to us. I'm originally from out of state so I never heard of Tinucci's before, but was blown away by the tasting. We ended up going with their chicken sandwich (MY FAVORITE) and pulled pork, as well as their mac and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, chilled veggies, corn bread and watermelon. Also for apps we had fresh pico and chips along with a meat and cheese platter. AND PEOPLE ARE SLEEPING ON THEIR DESSERTS, the turtle brownies are to die for. SO GOOD. I've eaten at least 2 a day since our reception and I'm not sure what kind of magic is in them but they are still moist!!!The pricing was very fair on the food and Mark Jr was very helpful in adjusting pricing/selection to our guest count. It's obvious they have a lot of experience in catering because when they showed up on the reception day, they moved like a well oiled machine. They had a tent to shield from weather, a table cloth to make it look nice, everything was well stocked the whole time and they were nice enough to take back our leftovers and package them and then store them until the next day when we came to collect them, vs leaving them for the venue to deal with or handing them off to us, who were definitely not in the mindset to look after food (but so grateful to have it the next day). They also brought plenty of backup food just incase we had extra guests or people wanted third or fourth servings (which happened with us, we had almost no leftovers the next day for us specifically even though we ordered about 25 extra servings, people loved the food) which would allow most people to lower their guest count to a more realistic number without worry of running out of food. We've been to Tinuccis on prime rib buffet day (also highly suggested) as well as various other times for just a casual pick up and we have never been disappointed. We'll definitely see what other larger events we can use them for, because it was such a great experience!"
"My wife and I had wonderful experience. I was recommended a Reuben sandwich, that was perfect. My sweetheart had the burger that she really enjoyed. The service was top notch. We will be back."
"I just have to compliment Mr. Pig Stuff and the staff. We had an absolutely fabulous meal. Very great portions and prices. Our server actually memorized our entire order (party of 4)! Best service I've had all year. We will definitely be back!"
"Came for a Valentines Day dinner and was absolutely amazed by the food, drinks, and staff. Everything was delicious and there were so many creative ideas. The desserts were incredible. I am so excited to come back for the Sunday dinners they host. Be on the lookout for tickets - they sell out fast!"
"I definitely recommend this company. Their vegan food slaps. The squash and mushroom dishes we had were one of a kind and super unique."
"The staff here are fantastic at their jobs. Every single person involved in the catering of our wedding reception on our property was amazing.. We chose to have a pig roast for 104 guests. I should mention I'm very picky. I don't even like to eat out because I'm usually disappointed. Not the spread UD did. Everything was amazingly delicious!! The staff were attentive to everything during the entire length of the event. I can't give enough compliments to UD.Thank you so so much!!"
"Good service, great food. Love the chips and dip that come with the sandwiches. The mini slider burgers are awesome and the drinks are phenomenal. I beat the rest of my party there by about ten minutes and our server checked in on me twice during that timeand several times throughout our meal. I'll definitely be back, and bring my spouse next time since it's relatively close to home."
"Our office frequently orders boxed lunches from D'Amico. I like their strawberry salad which comes with the obvious greens and strawberries- in addition there is chicken, chèvre cheese, walnuts, and a lovely balsamic vinaigrette. All in all you cannot go wrong with this salad. Box lunches come with chips and a cookie or you can sub fruit. As I've stated before I am a lettuce snob so I find it really annoying when there is so much lettuce rib and not actual leaf. Not to mention when the lettuce itself has bad spoiled pieces. Therefore I always carefully pick through any salad I do not make myself. There was about a good cup and a half of bad lettuce in my salad."
"Great double smoked ham. The best we have ever had. The ordering process is a tad weird. It's like you stepped right into the butchering shop. I would have ordered more items but is a bit confusing so stuck with the ham. Have ordered this for several years now for Christmas."
"Cocoa & Fig.I wish I lived closer to you.I would order boxes of your tasty little confectionsand hole up in my apartmentand gouge myself on your sweetnessuntil my menstration passed.Or until my ex boyfriends get fat and ugly.Or until my bills go away.Or until my favorite gum comes back in style."
"Came at peak time on a Wednesday to check it out - good news there's a parking lot (good for them it was packed!), and some street parking.First of, service was great! The server was super attentive and charismatic.I had the oldest old fashioned to drink which was chefs kiss. For dinner we started with the burrata caprise which was amazing, the included bread as well. For the entree I had the tortelloni bolognese which was absolutely packed with flavor. The sauce was perfect and the sausage had a slight spice that helped bring the dish together. My friend had the Fettuccine Alla Pesto with chicken that was also really good. Creamy, and the chicken was perfectly seasoned. This absolutely has been my favorite Italian night out in the cities!"
"4.5 Stars My rock n roll friends had their wedding and reception at The Gale Mansion a couple years ago. Everything went very smoothly and this was largely due to the venue's setup. As I am usually a makeup artist and/or bridesmaid at friends' weddings, I am very fond of venues that are able to do it all. We got ready upstairs, pictures were taken on the very beautiful grounds, the wedding ceremony was outside, and the reception was inside. Couldn't be better or easier, IMO. The many halls, rooms, and alcoves provide a variety of options for letting people mill around. Or keeping people separate, which was nice since the bridal party and groom's party got ready in the same building without running into each other. The room we got dressed in was huge and had couches and chairs, at least one table, tons of windows, and a private bathroom. There were also enough outlets, even though it's a historic building. You do have to take the stairs to the upper level -- I don't think there's an elevator, but there are only two floors. The mansion, built in 1912, is a historic building and extremely well preserved. Some modern updates (such as air conditioning) have been made, but for the most part, wandering around the property is like being in a time machine or museum. Everything is very well maintained as well, including the lawn and grounds. It was a very cool and unique experience to spend the day here. It was easy to imagine the place once being filled with cooks, maids, and butlers! There is staff on-hand for events, but I don't know how many were present for this particular wedding. The website states that they provide (customized and locally sourced) catering, but my friends may have had their food done by a different caterer. I didn't really interact with any staff, but I spent my whole day with the wedding party so I'd remember if anything went amiss. It appeared to go perfectly and no one expressed any displeasure with The Gale Mansion or its staff members. The website states they can accommodate 200 - 240 guests, which is approximately how many people were at the reception. There was ample room for guests, small tables, and even a dance floor in the main reception area, plus the building was open for everyone to explore. My only complaint would be that there wasn't a ton of seating, but I think my friends chose this option, as pictures on the website shows a setup for a sit down dinner. Though the mansion seems to be mostly utilized for weddings, it would also be a great place for formal dinners, corporate events, reunions, and other private parties. Overall, I really enjoyed myself at this wedding, both because the venue made the preparations easy and convenient, and because I felt lucky to enjoy such an elegant and historic building. I highly recommend The Gale Mansion as an event space!"
