"This is a pretty decent liquor store. They have a great selection of beer and wine, in addition to liquor as well. They have sales every so often that can't be beat. I visit a variety of liquor stores while on the hunt for the best deal and this place has some sale items that even beat Costco's pricing. Plus the staff here has always been friendly and helpful. Make sure to check the website for their current flyer advertising the specials."
"Very nice updated building for the Milaca area. Milaca Liquor has a wide variety of micro brews and has a mix and match six pack special, that allows you to try different brews.Don't worry they are fully stocked with your typical best sellers of beer, wine and hard alcohol and of course all the mixes that go with them. They have the best selection and stock in the area, so when your ready to get your party on stop in here and stock up."

"Love this place! Great wine selection and featured wine. Mystery beer packs are always fun! And an excellent wine tasting on Saturdays with Larry who is so nice and knowledgeable about wine."
"Food was great, service was awesome, and the atmosphere is your typical sports bar vibe. Definitely a chill place to grab some awesome food & a cold beer."
"Modern liquor store that is very clean and organized. Workers are friendly and they have tastings weekly. A great selections of liquors to choose from in a relatively big store. Great spot to get your liquor"
"This is sort of a hip little place in small town America and they are becoming more common as I make my way around rural America. The place has a clean uncluttered look and very clean. The waitress was pleasant and she provided decent customer service.I ordered the Rachel ( a Reuben but with turkey breast ) and it was very good with heaping helpings of turkey breast. The prices were reasonable as I left only $ 15 poorer than I was when I entered."
"This has got to be one of the best experiences in a liquor store ever! I was in town visiting for my sisters graduation party and you can't have a party without liquor so this was our chosen store.Location was very convenient and easy to get to besides the dirt road that we had to take to get here. Your route may vary depending where you are coming from. It's a great store, TRUST me."
"I am by no means anything close to a sommelier, but am somewhat of a self-proclaimed beer fanatic, so this review is more so focused on the latter half of this place's namesake.First off, this isn't the place to look for a case of, well, any type of beer. This is, however, the place to pick up a sixer of craft beer, or better yet a mix of whatever craft beer your heart (and liver) desires. They have hundreds of bottles for the picking, organized by style, and they give you a 15% discount on each mixer sixer you concoct. The selection is broad and quite impressive (follow them on Facetwitterbook to find out when they get new deliveries and limited releases). For the indecisive, or less accustomed to craft beer, soliciting recommendations from the staff is recommended, as they are much beer-nerdier than the author of this review.Cheers."
"Great find in white bear lake! I was in town for the week and stumbled into this place towards the end of my stay. I was only disappointed that I hadn't gone here earlier. What a gem, wish it were closer to where I live! If you have a whole foods near you, this place maybe similar but even better. They have amazing choices in fresh meat and seafood. Great coffee selections and specialty food items. They even had an area for items you may want to purchase for your kitchen, very cute selection! Also, they had a ready-to-eat section as well if you need to pick something up for lunch or dinner. There is a Starbucks in this location too if you wanted to get your fix before you leave ;-)"
"Adorable spot for a fancy night out. Not a ton of seating, but my friend and I arrived around 5 and had no issue snagging a spot. We shared a charcuterie board and wine. Both were so good, but we saw some plates of sandwiches and salads and...I will definitely want to come back to try those because they looked really good!!!! Definitely on the pricey side but worth it for a fun outing. The staff were so so so friendly, some of the best service I've experienced in MPLS!!"
"Went here to purchase a bottle of wine as a Christmas gift. I know absolutely nothing about wine, so I was very happy when an employee approached me and asked me if I needed help with anything within a couple minutes of me walking in the door. I explained what I needed, and he showed me a few options that would work well. Very helpful guy! There are a ton of options in the store. I'm pretty sure you can find almost any type of alcohol you would want! Prices are great. What I also love is that this store is locally owned and operated! I love to support small businesses!Overall great store. Would definitely shop here again!"
"this is the kind of liquor store you go to for these reasons:1. you live in walking distance2. you want most your liquor in plastic bottles3. you want your beer extremely cheap. (you want cheap beer. get it?)4. you're wandering the neighborhood drunk already and need a refill.5. you l like carpet6. uhhhhhhh?"

Service has always been great. I would like to see some more local stuff. I don't know about wine, but it seems they miss the mark with the many possible breweries in the twin cities as well as a growing number of local distilleries that are hard to find there.I know there are other stores, and the whole area is grossly under representing the local products. For some reason, it feels to me that Robbinsdale is the best suited to get into the market of local products.I'll update on the beer selection, which has been much better this week (must have received a shipment). Not quite what I think it could be, but it is definitely better.

We were in the area for the snowmobile swap meet again this year. We really enjoyed our meal last year so decided to try it again. Our hand breaded cheese curds were very good. My husbands broasted chicken was juicy & delicious. My pizza was a little undercooked. The leftovers reheated well in my air fryer and that made it much better. The service was exceptional.

The Uptown is more upscale than you usually see in small community restaurants. Yet I only paid twenty-five dollars and change for two people. The food was phenomenal! I have no idea what kind of seasoning was used for my potatoes? But it was fantastic! The catfish I had was equally as good! And rave reviews for the coleslaw! Two thumbs up for the friendly service. Coming here for lunch, spending just a little more cash, was well worth it!

Great spot. Well curated collection, always have the finest MN and WI beer selection possible including occasional Barrel Theory crowlers, great Modist beers, or Humble Forager's Elevated Perspective. They also have Oliphant crowlers, a great small brewery just 30 min away in WI. When I moved here I was so happy to find a small beer store with great knowledge. Additionally, I buy some wine there and they are always respectful of my price point request when I ask for recommendations esp when I ask for something off their under $10 value wall :) And finally, with COVID 19 concerns, they've adapted with curbside pickup. I have not gone into a store unless there is absolutely no other option since March, so I have relied on businesses leaning in to curbside. You do have to call them and give the credit card info over the phone (maybe in the future they can do an online system?!) but I have never had a security issue with that. Also when I call them for my curbside order, I am pretty familiar with what they have in store but they are still helpful when I want to get recs over the phone or know what is new from the local breweries. For craft beer, the prices are exactly what they should be - no bud light here, folks! Oh.. and if you are very nice you can als for a dog biscuit for your pup (or have the pup ask politely!).

"This is a one of those hidden jems Yelp! is good at pointing people towards If only it wasn't in the middle of a crummy strip mall on W. 7th next to the terrible Coopers SuperValu. I would be here a lot more often if that were the case. The beer selection is fine. Nothing fancy, but they have what I drink, so I won't dock them for the beer.Where they excel is the vodka, gin, and whiskey. Such a selection! They have Hanger One Vodka for *literally* half the price of what it's listed as online. I know this because a friend has raved about Hanger One and the only place she knew to get it was W.A. Frost. It's an excellent vodka that's usually around the 30 dollar mark, but this place sells it for 17.They have local, organic gins and whiskeys for great prices and when I need to refill my Hendricks, this is the place to go. It's usually 5 or 6 dollars less than anyplace else around here.If the location was better, it would be a five-star location. I've had to wait in line while both registers were being taken up with people buying small bottles of hootch with pennies. I would love to see these owners open a different place in a more up-scale location.Worth a try if you want to branch out from your usual alcohol without spending a lot."
"Having taken a few summer trips to the lake, of course alcohol is a key component to the trip! Came across this family owned liquor store along the way. I'm always a big fan of supporting local business, and this place definitely deserves it. Kent is one of the nicest owners you'll ever meet and the town is just a gem. The Bottle Shop has always had any alcohol we've needed and at great prices. I highly recommend everyone to stop by here on your way to the lake. You'll be greeted with warm smiles and snag some great prices on booze!"
"I've passed this bar for years and we finally went on a Friday night for the meat raffle. I love a meat raffle. This one was ok pretty busy and very strict one per person rule. But good stuff from mackenthuns! It's a dive bar but fast good service and cheap drinks so it's worth a dive bar stop! Also their pizza is highly recommended!!"
"The ambience was great! Great live music on the patio. We shared poke nachos and wow! This was a special was fantastic! We did have the Brussel sprouts and I wouldn't get them again, they were sadly over done but I ate them. He had a chicken sandwich and loved it. Our waiter Fransico was extremely pleasant and prompt. We will be back!"
"Superb wine options and a super friendly staff. They have free wine tastings every Friday! Their craft/micro beer selection is good, too, with good local and regional options that are sometimes hard to find. Can't go wrong!!"
"Sometimes I want to go across the street and buy alcohol from this store just because the people running it are so awesome and it gives me an excuse to visit with them. The first time I ventured across Snelling was to pick up some flavored vodka for the Halloween Jell-O shots that I made. The (I think) manager was so helpful. He spend probably half an hour talking to me about the different kinds of vodkas and what they go the best with. He suggested different mixtures that I could try to achieve the perfect Jell-O shot. The second time I graced their doorway was to pick up a bottle of Grey Goose for my birthday. Their largest bottle of Grey Goose was reasonably priced and has lasted me a very long time. The manager also showed me the specials they were having on wine and let me sample them. I believe they also do wine tasting on Wednesday. On Wednesday I had to pick up some alcohol for my friend's party. The manager and a woman (I think his wife) were running the store. The manager was a little busy, but the woman was also helpful. She rang me up quickly and I got to play with their new shitzu puppy that was chilling out on the counter."
"You usually don't find knowledgeable help here. It's basically a big warehouse for cheap beer, wine and spirits. You go in, buy, and go out. But I like the fact that Marv, the owner, hangs around there often, and he's a Maplewood City Councilman. And on this visit, he spotted me puzzling over the bourbon. He came up and offered some advice. Thanks, Marv!"
"We came because we heard that they had good food and bloodies- and holy cow do they ever! The special was the eggs Benedict and omg it was a huge portion and so delicious. . . And that is the one brunch item I get every where we go so I've had a few to compare! Apparently they switch the special from eggs Benedict to biscuits and gravy every other weekend. My husband had the McJudy - basically a ginormous McMuffin with a pile of thick bacon on it - and a pancake. Just one because it's the size of a very large plate! So good, so full, and our bill was $30!!"
"Awesome breakfast!Highly recommend the corned beef hash and the country fried steak."
"Parking is easy because there's a little ramp right across the street. The place was a little hard to find- Google Maps takes you to Grocer's Table. It's actually around the corner past that and NOT where the map says it is. The wooden symbol that marks the restaurant is too discreet so took me a few minutes to hunt down. The ambiance is very cute- vintage with a little feminine touch and date night feel. Our service was great! Three of us ordered our own 'bite' (I had two deviled eggs which had a great pack of flavor), shared the salmon tartare (good flavor and touch of spice from what I think was the Dijon Mayo), entree (I had the Crab Spaghetti alla chittara which was amazing!! Another friend got the agnolotti which had a perfected pasta shell and sauce, another got the trout which was orange like salmon but just a little less fishy but cooked tender with greens) and we shared sides (fries had a great crisp with a bearnaise aioli, beets were flavorful) and all shared the toffee cake with salted caramel buttermilk ice cream. I'm really surprised this place wasn't closer to five stars. I'd go back again tomorrow and try another few things on the menu (in addition to getting the crab spaghetti again)!!"
"My sister in Madison said she wanted to eat here when she visits nexts. My sister sent me pictures of their burger that had me drooling. Naturally, as a younger brother, I had to check it out first. There was a long list of items on the menu, which is refreshing. There's a chicken sandwich, nachos, and pretzel sticks that we will be back for, but we needed more mouths for those dishes. We tried the burger and fries, which are excellent - some of the best fries I've had in awhile. They cooked them extra long. The chips paired with our salsa were "meh". The square curds will make you smile from ear to ear. Everything came out hot which was also a win for us. The staff were friendly and this place has another side to the bar for pickleball. This is more of a self serve bar and restaurant. You will order on your phone and pick up your own order when it's ready. The wall of beers is the same as Union32 in Eagan."
"We've popped in here a couple of times now while visiting family in MPLS. This last time we came for 2 bottles and left with 7 or 8? They carry an eclectic and geeky selection. Not sure who does their curation but we weren't exactly looking for local (California) producers but once we realized they stocked some absurd and micro-producers we looked deeper. Producers such as Broc in Berkeley, Ashes & Diamonds in Napa, and Liocco in Healdsburg. Just stuff I never expected to see outside of the Bay Area. There was an older guy who dealt with our indecisiveness and senseless path around the shop and like any great advisor, found solutions where there was none apparent. They did not have the heavy stuff, at least I did not see, such as Screaming Eagle, Opus One (I did see a bottle of Overture), Silver Oak, etc but that stuff is plentiful elsewhere. They do stock highly comparable and arguable funner bottles such as Quintessa, and I forgot what else...Fun shop. Watch your step out front."
"Love this place! The owners will educate you about wine. I have learned what kind of wine I like to drink. The wine tastings are fun in a comfortable environment. They have delicious wines for every budget!"
"Best place in Rochester for price and selection. I buy Wine, Beer and Whiskey They have a very nice Wine selection and a whole wall of import and craft beer and I have found a great selection of Bourbon and Scotch. It's a one stop shop for me!!"
"Great liquor store in general. Haskell's specialized in wine mostly but Haskell has a good selection of wine and spirits too. Price wise it a more than total wine but they random products on sale. The store is very organized and clean. It a shop worth checking out."
"Great burgers! Good beer ! Adrian and Brittany make this place even better!Great local hang out!!"
"F yeah I feel very compelled to write a review of a liquor store! I am very grateful for it for SO many reasons, but a new one is for the great customer service. When a few friends came to town, I wanted to gift them with a sampling of our local beer. So I called around to several local liquor stores, looking for ones that offered BYO six packs. Most said no, until I spoke with a woman at Central Spirits. She was friendly and helpful on the phone, and then even more so in person. She directed me to where I could build my own six pack of local beers from a designated fridge. She even let me break open a 4 pack of Surly that wasn't in the fridge, just to add a few to my pack. Each can was priced fairly and I ended up paying under $15 for a custom variety of 6 local beers. It's not a huge store and I didn't browse the thing, so I can't speak too much to their variety. There were a few local breweries that I didn't see represented there, though, and there were only 2 or 3 types of Surly brews. Regardless, I'll definitely be back and I hope I win the giveaway I entered!"
"This is the best place to eat in a 10 mile radius. HaHa the only place to eat within 10 miles. No kidding this place has great burger's. I highly recommend the honyuker with onion rings."
"NEW MENU! Service was excellent from start to finish. The best part was the food! I haven't had brisket like that since I've been in Kansas City. The smoker has it figured out. Try the raspberry sauce with the brisket! You won't regret it. Great venue. Very relaxing."
"This is a very nice size liquor store with what seemed like a large variety of beer wines and spirits. My review is a little skewed because I went for the sole purpose of purchasing wine in a can. I've found that it's not sold at a lot of places, good ones that is. But I was happy at what I stumbled upon at Hums. There's a small fridge in the very front of the store with boxed canned and bottled wines. I couldn't decide on one so I grabbed like 7 different ones. Once I got to the register, the woman who checked me out was so kind and helpful in explaining the different types of wines and even recommended one for me to try next time. She even showed me where to find it. I was pleasantly surprised by her efforts. It's so nice going into a store and having someone show you or explain the lay of the land. Very much appreciated. My only dislike is the location. It's right next door to the red dragon and a-holes are usually loitering outside or nearby."
"Your basic Mark I/Mod 0 liquor store. All the usual suspects at rather reasonable prices. Half-decent selection of craft beers. Staff are very friendly. It's no Thomas Liquor or Solo Vino, but if you're in the area and need something basic, here you go."
"Tiktok made me do it and I am so glad I did!On first drive, it looks like an old gas station minus the pumps. Wall full of fridges are all that's standing between you and all the delicious Minnesota brews Ombibulouse has to offer. The staff is knowledgeable and so kind. With COVID, they do have capacity limits and require a mask. You can build your own 6-packs at your own leisure. They also carry Minnesota wines/sodas/craft liquors. All at great prices! Beers rang from $3/can to $14/pack which varies by brewery/size/quantity.Absolutely stop here! And if they still have it, get the coconut macaroon Cream Ale from Indeed!"
"I haven't been to Louie's in way too long. Louie's is one of my favorite butcher shops. We finally found a time to visit and arrived about 10 minutes before they were set to open. We figured go early and beat the crowds. Well when we arrived there was already a line forming. We've been to a lot of butcher shops. Louie's is the first one that we've seen a line forming before they open.Louie's has everything you could want or need. Known for their excellent and large variety of brats. But there's so much more. Fish, sticks, snacks, groceries, of course cheese, condiments, beef bacon, turkey bacon, smoked chicken, etc, etc etc. My brother in law stopped in after we were there and spent over $100 on beef ribs, ground beef and some steaks. We picked up some brats, bacon, breakfast sausage and chicken kiev. Yes chicken kiev. One of my favorite treats as a kid and Louie's makes homemade chicken kiev. They're really a one stop shop. There's a saying at a place out of Chicago, if you can't find it, it's not worth drinking. Well if you can't find what you want to eat at Louie's, it's probably not worth eating!"
