Buttercream Wedding Cakes & Desserts St Paul

We got our wedding cake from Buttercream, and it was AMAZING. My only regret is that I didn't get to eat much of it, given how crazy weddings are. The Strawberry A La Ritz flavor was a huge hit, everyone loved it. They were super easy to work with, and the cake was absolutely beautiful.

I'm shocked their rating isn't higher, the only weddings I've attended where the wedding cake was not dry and disappointing were weddings catered by Buttercream. We had our cake by buttercream and its just as delicious several days later. Buttercream knows how to provide cake that is actually enjoyable to eat for a large wedding -- that is a 5 star bakery in my book.

We have ordered this cake 3 times now! It's a family favorite. The buttercream frosting is amazing. Moist cake and the raspberry adds a pop of flavor, as well as a beautiful color to the layered cake.

We decided on Buttercream for our wedding cake and we're not disappointed! We were able to set up a tasting - they were professional, answered our questions, but also gave us space to discuss the cake flavors. I also enjoyed being in their showroom to get an idea for a design. I do recommend that you have an idea of what you want for your cake to look like before going to your tasting appointment I've had buttercream cakes before at other weddings and they are sometimes dry. We decided on fruit filled cakes and we got many compliments on our wedding cake! I do think that the fruit helps with the dryness of wedding cakes. I would highly recommend the raspberry chocolate or the strawberry ala ritz! Picking up the the cake the day of the wedding was easy and my cousin was able to put it all together with no problem so no worries if your venue isn't helping with your wedding cake!

This bakery is TOPS! Ordered for my daughter's wedding this past weekend and all the guests have raved how delicious AND beautiful they were! Went with a enchanted forest theme at the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory... so they were perfect!

Amazing cupcakes!! Had them at a holiday party and had to get their information for future orders! I'm not even a cupcake person so you know they are good.

Honestly, I can't lie...this place did not live up to the hype. I almost feel like this place is the McDonald's of places to go wedding cake tasting ... everyone is like, are you going to Buttercream? Why oh why would you get your cake from here? Probably half of your friends are getting the same cake. And I know because after cake tasting, all their flavors tasted very similar. Bland cake and tasteless buttercream.Service is very cookie cutter standard. If you come here for a tasting, they give you the standard run down...square tiers or round, here's the price of a slice, lace on the sides or crystals. Moreover, the service here is pretty inconsistent because you never know the baker making your cake. Just ask them how many cakes are made every weekend ;)PS Don't fall for the free cake on your anniversary. Lot's of bakeries have that perk.

My tiramisu cake was divine. Ordered for my husbands 70th birthday party. Delicious. Everyone loved it. Ready to order another.

Ask lots of questions....the spacers they use between tiers on a wedding cake are sticking out prominently. They told us that is just the way it is. I found out that this is the norm for Buttercream but not any other place.

My review is mixed, the taste of buttercream cakes is absolutely amazing and I could not find a better cake in the twin cities. These cakes are VERY moist and taste amazing even a week after the wedding! Design was less than desirable and the interactions with the staff for design was terrible. I sent pictures and explained in detail what I wanted. First staff didnt seem to be able to comprehend the simple design that I was asking for. Secondly, the design I received on my wedding day was nothing like the design we had agreed upon over email. If you want one of their designs on their website, than you should be fine. But if you want anything different, I would not recommend.
