Well this I am taking the time to write a review bc the guest relations was absolutely despicable. My mom was staying at their establishment and I was there to assist her with her belongings and with mobility issues.I was carrying bags out to my car and the parking lot was incredibly slippery from the melted ice. I fell down and so before I went back out I requested salt for the area near my car in the parking lot. The owner said he was only doing the sidewalk and said the lot isn't his area ( it's the parking lot of his building)I told him I would do it and that I didn't want to fall AGAIN!!!He reluctantly sprinkled a small amount of salt and walked away I walked in and overheard him complaining of the cost of the salt he had to use...Are you kidding me?..I am appalled and cannot fathom why he would want an injury on his property. That injury could certainly cost more than salt I would speculate!

I give our room 3 stars and the hotel as a whole 1 balancing it out to 2.I took someone here for a surprise birthday present. I've stayed here before knowing its not the nicest place on earth but jeez, it's REALLY gone down hill since the last time stayed back in 2007. The girl at the front desk was nice and prompt after a very long journey down a very dirty hallway that smelled like water damage and cigarette smoke we got to our room which was very nice other than some stains on the carpet it was VERY clean. We had the Space Odyssey room which was cool the bed was huge and looks like a huge space ship. It also looks like they had put in a new television and couch very recently. The Cable on the TV was kind of grainy but that was no biggie because the room had a 1st edition Nintendo in it, they didn't have a great game selection but that was pretty sweet. We explored the rest of the hotel to find a bunch of broken vending machines, a broken ice machine and a closed pool and hot tub which looked like it's been that way for a while. Luckily there are TONS of cool things to do right around the hotel so we walked to the Grand Slam arcade down the street and had tons of fun. When we got back we enjoyed out HUGE jacuzzi in our room. It looked like some tiled had fallen off and they ghetto rigged it with cement which wasn't blended in very well but it didn't effect our experience and another tile fell off while we were in it. Other than that the jacuzzi was great, that and the Nintendo are probably the best part of the whole place. The woman at checkout was VERY friendly she checked our room for damage (there is a $100 deposit on all theme rooms) and was very nice and we got our deposit back in whole. Knowing the hotel isn't great I would go back because the theme rooms are great.

Weeeell... despite the small amount of bad reviews I have read(because there aren't that many reviews any way)before I visited the fantasuite I ultamately made the decision to go there this April 2011. Upon arriving to the hotel I notice a fire training base just down the road from the hotel with a school of some kind by that. Its kinda secluded in a weird location with 0 type of stores or gas. Which I think is strange not so much about it being secluded , just because there are no stores....... ANY WAY we go in to pay our deposit and "I" noticed that the lobby had no cealing (weird) I asked the woman who was behind the counter about the pool: she said it was closed for fixing but there's a spa tub in the room...... which I already knew.......... She never told me her name but she did tell me that the business has been sold and that the "New Owners" had big BIG remodeling plans. We shall see. I asked her if she was the owner her answer was no but I think she was. Some man was sitting in one of the only chairs in the lobby watching t.v. mumbling things about the fridge in the room and how I could move it closer to the spa tub if I wanted. He seemed to have some type of relation to the woman. As we drove down to the door of out room we notice there was four maaaaybe five cars out side. Two of them were newer cars. We notice the security key box was damaged and appeared to have been for some time. Ghetto. The pool had water in it and the pool area looked nice and I dint understand why it was closed. The halls smelled like my grandmas basement. I walked in the room and it smelled really nice BIG giant difference from the hallways! Nothing at all has been updated since the place opened a corner of the wall paper was hangin off the wall. There were a few cobwebs by the patio and uh there was a huge piece of plywood hammered to the side of the spa tub. All the tiles were gone off the side. The bed was more like a twin full rather than a queen. No iron. The best thing was every thing in that room was spotless there was not a bug a booger old towels nothing. It was squeeky clean. The spa tub was great! The soap and shampoo was a laugh. I luckily always bring my own. All of this info is not a complaint. I knew its a old school hotel and that you get what you paid for. The themed rooms as they appear now could be at least $25 cheaper. Check in is at 4 and check out is at 11. That's a slight rip off. I also notice a few people actually lived at this hotel and really made it home with bikes and grills. Even a small garden. Being the rooms had patios, I easily noticed the residents. As we were leaving we heard Ms.NoName say "that was easy". I won't be going back until the "upgrade" is complete because of that. I felt that as being very rude and they should be happy they still get business.

Absolute dump, is the kindest thing I could say about this place. The rooms are tired, dirty, and need a complete overhaul. Heck they should just tear it down. We got there and there was nobody else staying there. The room was awful, full of cigerette burns, TV's from the 80's, and a mysterious scum, in the whirlpool and showerhead. Breakfast was awful, and when I checked out, they charged me extra, to "even out the bill". You couldn't do that with your other service charges? So a $99 bill came out to be $114. About $9 total, for bogus charges. I was just glad to get the heck out of there. I urge anyone seeing this, AVOID THIS PLACE, as if it had bed bugs (itch, itch). Check out epinions, or tripadviser (as the Ramada Limited, and the Select Inn, same place).
