This is the food. Fresh made wonderful specials. Went to Amazing Octoberfest dinner. With beer paring. So good. So much food. Such reasonable prices. Great breakfast on Sundays. Homemade caramel rolls. Lots to chose from. We went for homemade meatloaf last week. Why cook at home when they have a great chef and friendly staff in a clean fun environment!!!

We went here after the polar plunge since it was the shuttle stop. They were completely unprepared staff wise. It took forever to get our drinks and food. They forgot one persons order and messed up another's. The food was ok to gross. The shrimp were chewy and overcooked, as was the burger. The fish was tiny. They no longer have carrot cake but it is still on the money. The chocolate cake was frozen and bland. The waitress was nice and apologized. She did take things off bill.

I was told by a friend who works there, that their special of the evening (chicken & waffles for $8.95) was served until the kitchen closed at 10pm. It was 9:15 when I got there, thinking I could meet my husband for a late dinner with our 5 year old. After all, my friend who works there posted a pic to Facebook and it was so enticing. Looked delicious. I brought my daughter in, and had to wait for someone to approach me about having her in the bar before I could find anyone to provide me with service. The first thing she did was yell at me about having my daughter in the bar. A little humiliated that THAT was my first interaction with the help, I explained my purpose for being there so late. I was told they "stopped serving the special at 9pm" - this information is not posted in the "specials section" on their website... But got them to agree to make it while we waited in the parking lot. When I mentioned my friend told me it was served until 10pm, I again was talked to rudely by the same woman, who barked at me, "She doesn't work in the kitchen!" Done with this place and I haven't even eaten my meal yet...

This is like the best dive bar that isn't a dive bar. The food is amazing (best Kentucky hot chicken sandwich I've had in MN [it's spicy!!]) and super affordable. They have an awesome brunch as well. The folks that work there a hoot and very attentive. And yeah, it can get busy, but we've always found a table.
