Buchanan Grocery

I just moved to Red Wing, and this is my neighborhood grocery store. It is small but has a lot packed inside. It just celebrated a century of existence. It is not the best place for bargain hunting, but you know what? They have the best selection around of local goods, everything from cheese (CannonBelles!) to produce (Lake City strawberries!) to crackers to BBQ sauces. The meat department has a great selection and a really nice butcher. Actually, everyone here has been incredibly nice. I imagine that it's the kind of place where I'll soon know the workers' names and they'll know mine.

This is a nice clean little Store with a decent fresh meat market.I've shopped there for 6-7 years, and for the most part it has some hard to find gourmet shelf stable items, but be sure to check the code dates on all Refrigerated , Frozen items and Shelf stable as occasionally you'll get something out of code or very near to it.It's one of the last little Markets so it seems worth supporting!

I love this place. Its right on my way home and they always have what i'm looking for. They are never busy and I can get in and out. I only ever buy my meat from them as they have really good cuts of meat. I would encourage anyone looking for a quick place to get what you need to stop in and check them out!

I keep going back. This is now my one store that carries a tomato sauce I really like and a frozen pizza that I enjoy as much as any delivery pizza I would think to order.I often drop in to get re-supplies of ground beef and the occasional steak. And then add in a few other things.For a little store, they offer a nice mix of the essentials but often with a twist - the carry brands that the local big boxes don't and through trial and error, I am figuring out that several things they carry are just a bit better than what I normally get.

This place is literally the only place I've seen with a decent deli.It's a small neighborhood grocery store about 40-50 miles from where I live. They have basic items like eggs, milk, bread, cheese, that kind of stuff, but really, the only reason I go here for is the deli. They have this salmon spread that tastes good on sandwiches, but the one thing I absolutely love here is...THE POTATO SALAD.Oh. My. God. It's. Amazing.They have THE best potato salad I've ever tried in my life.I always come back here and get potato salad and salmon spread. IT'S SO GOOD! :-)

This is a quaint and out of the way place. Family owned it's really one of the last and greatest groceries. They offer the best meats and seafood. There are so many specialty items in this shop that you really needn't go anywhere else. The customer service is the very best. So, if you want great cuts of meat and friendly down home service? This is your place!

Top notch! Friendly and very helpful. They have a nice selection of food and the meat department and smoked products are so tasty Very clean store with a nice small town feel. I love shopping and supporting local small businesses. Buchanan grocery, you are awesome!

We couldn't wait to check out this gem. Fellow shoppers and reviewer's said it was like a small Byerlys. How could we be more disappointed? The place has a odor, debris on the floors and sour faced employees. We bravely purchased a few things, guess what, the meat was off, way off. The rolls were stinky, unknown brands from unknown parts. Wish we could say something good, but even the cookies were just not edible. So buyer and review readers beware of false prophecy.

Meat department, 5 stars any given day. Thank you Ryan for your amazing customer service. I can't tell people enough about the meat/deli department at Buchanan's. No, they aren't as cheap as Walmart, but the customer service and quality is worth it. Idk if they can ever read these comments, but i hope they can. I've never been in a small town grocery store where the customer service is higher than Buchanan's. Im so grateful, they do a beautiful job and I'm so happy when i can sing out their praises.Thank you all for doing what you do. Its a pleasure to be one of your frequent customers.
