Bruce's Foods

Don't judge a book by its cover.I will say that the outside is this grocery store had me a bit nervous walking in, but it is a perfect small town grocery store. As you would say expect, more expensive than a big box, but great specials too. We just moved to town and glad to have this store in the area.

I came here for water and I have to say this store have the best costumers. My car battery died we ask someone for help and without hesitation he went home pick up jumper cables and came right back. I'm so grateful.

Bruce's Food's is the best small town grocery store that I have ever shopped. There is plenty of parking, friendly staff, very comfortable and clean interior and a great selection and pricing! On occasion I have stopped in for their lunch specials ( Taco Thursdays) and used their seating area in the store.

We stopped for dry ice on our way to MSP from a fishing trip in Canada. Walking through the produce section I was pretty impressed for a small town grocer. We were in and out for dry ice only. All I can say is we would definitely stop again for dry ice. Thank you Bruce for having dry ice and allowing our walleye to make it all the way back to NC frozen solid. The young man that helped us that morning was very friendly and helpful. The gal that answered the phone when we called was very friendly as well. If we lived in Wyoming I'd definitely go back for groceries!

My hometown grocer. They have a deli, well stocked meat department, and a good selection of fresh produce for this area. They compete well enough for price against Wal-Mart and Cub which are 3-4 miles away. Locally owned and operated, Bruce is a real person, and is active in the community. I am a fan of Bruce's and I will continue to patronize the store.

Bruce's foods used to be a place that was hometown and friendly and you could count on a personal experience. They have gone the way of all of the other big box grocery stores and are chasing the mighty dollar. All of the generic labels I could put up with, The price gouging I could put up with. Recently they let go of their butcher and he was known to the entire community to be a pillar of salt, somebody I was humbled just to be around. They hired somebody much cheaper than the man who had poured his heart out for 20 years. I will never step foot in this store again and I would suggest nobody else do either. Whatever you do stay away from their meat department, I shutter to think what you will be getting.

I went to Bruce's today which is about my fourth time there in several years; the employees are so helpful and truly interested in me! Thank you Bruce's for empowering such a wonderful staff attitude; it's so refreshing! I'll start making it my weekly stop.

Do not bring your venison into this place! I brought in 50lbs of venison that was frozen and in perfect condition. I get a call a week later that it was ruined and moldy. Worse yet Bruce himself basically told me to get lost when I called them out on it. When I brought the meat in they took me through the back and the place smelled, it was dirty, and cluttered. Do not bring your meat into this place! You will regret it!

Great Store! Great meat! great people! Love they carry out! So nice to have a small home town grocer!
