Brew Ales & Eats

This restaurant is a must stop for me whenever in Perham. I love it in the summer because the back patio is an enclosed area that feels like an oasis from street traffic. I have never had a bad meal here. As a pescatarian/vegetarian, I appreciate the many healthy yet tasty options. The drink menu is well curated. During a recent summer visit, I enjoyed a berry spicy Margarita. I tend to avoid fruit margaritas because they are often too sweet, but this one balanced the fruit and spice well. I would definitely order again. Even though I was the only patron on the patio, the staff was very attentive - refilling water as needed and checking in an appropriate amount. I would recommend this place anytime you're traveling near or through Perham. In fact if only it were in my neighborhood, I'd visit much more often.

Stopped in for a Tuesday dinner after a long drive. Sat at the bar and Dave took great care of us!Started with drinks. My first was a single bourbon that's unique to MN (see pics). Second was a dirty Hendricks Martin, after watching a few cocktails being put together. Tuesday is wing night. So we went with wings. They're $4.50 per half-dozen of each flavor. They're on the smaller side but that's not a surprise given the price. I had Buffalo and General Tso. While I've never had a General Tso chicken wing, I would certainly order them again. Buffalo was Buffalo but the General was unique and delicious!Sat at the bar and Dave took great care of us. He's also quite the mixologist so don't be shy when ordering if he's behind the bar.

So we have all heard of Zorbaz in lake country - and that may have been the spot in the Perham area until The Brew came to town. I think people that live in the area, vacation here, or simply drive through can confidently agree - this is the best food in town. Are you an app person? The Brew has plenty of options - all done better than your small town dive bar. My vote - the Gouda Pickles. Handheld aficionado? They have sandwiches galor. Burgers. Chicken sammies. Tacos. Some how it escaped me that there is a cajun pasta... Maybe this was a menu addition since i've been? Motivation to return!

Amazing food! I completely annihilated the crispy chicken sandwich. I would go back there just for that! The server was very attentive and answered any questions, had great recommendations for us. We also throughly enjoyed the music choice and the volume of it was perfect. Some places you go, it's just too loud. Very cool set up and even have mocktail choices!

Staff was slow and not very friendly. Felt like we were an inconvenience. Wings were fatty and chewy. Bloody Mary was "ok".

Wings were great and the 2 burgers were fantastic. Great atmosphere and spot. Fried are thin and crispy. The chicken sandwich was enormous!! Service was prompt and on point

Food great. SUPER DOG FRIENDLY! They really love dogs. Our Belgian malinois loves their kid's hamburger and fries! We love the walleye sandwich.

After a day of troll hunting we came across this pub style restaurant. The drinks are good and the food is great. The marshmallow dipping sauce is not only good with their sweet potato fries but with the walleye fish, 2 hen burger, or brisket quesadilla. Try it on everything and you wont be disappointed.

The brew is small, but it is nice, waitresses are always very respectful, I like some of the food, not a fan of the breakfast menu precisely for the price vs going to a diner, so I would stick to lunch or dinner for the Brew, some of their dressings like the aioli not sure the name is really good!
