Love this place. Food it consistently good. Good portions. Lively place with lots of gambling choices if that's your thing. There about 2-3x a month

Stopped by here after leaving town from a wedding. We just needed a quick bite to eat. It wasn't busy on a Saturday morning and they had a good mix of options. The food was fine but they messed up my omelet, I wanted ham and two cheeses but somehow just ended up with American cheese. The water is awful, so get pop or coffee, the water has a bad taste to it. Overall, I wouldn't necessarily return or recommend but its fine if you are in the area.

I will say that on Friday evening this place was very busy and there may not have been enough staff. We got there at 5:00 and had about a 15 minute wait. My husband went to the bar and was still waiting to be served when we were seated. I ordered a water and he ordered a beer. Our waitress was very nice and apologized but there was still another 10 or 15 minutes until he got his drink. We ordered steak bites as an appetizer. I ordered the house salad with chicken and my husband ordered tacos with sweet potato fries. The steak bites didn't take too long and were very good tender and with good flavor. It was a little while before we got our food. The sweet potato fries were cold. The chicken on my salad was well cooked but there was so much dressing it was the house Parmesan dressing but it tasted mostly like mayonnaise. It had kind of a lodge feel to it.

Awesome bar/restaurant located in Nowthen. This place is probably exactly what you expect from a local, outer suburb bar. By no means divy, or fancy, just local. The vibe and overall feel of this place is inviting and relaxing. Sometimes local places can be somewhat uninviting. No here. From the moment I walked in I was greatly promptly by the bartender and made quick friends with locals at the bar, where they spend every Sunday. I ordered wings and a Texas patty melt. Both were very good. Again, exactly what you would expect from a local watering hole. Just some down home greasy cookin. I loved it. The wings were nicely sauced with a juicy, meaty bite. The Texas patty melt was cooked to a perfect medium, just how I ordered it. A massive 1/2 patty had me in heaven with bacon, sautéed onions and mushrooms. This is a great spot I would gladly make my regular bar if I lived in the area

Wow over an hour waiting for breakfast to arrive.never brought water never re-filled our coffee we were there for two and a half hours.asked for our check and never came back with it just walked away she started off by telling me us she has been there's for over four years.then the food was horrible our two and three year olds wouldn't even eat the pancakes.they were flat and hard,the French toast was horrible it was like they dipped bread into eggs and fried it hard.sausage links taste like fake soy protein.the biscuits and gravy was disgusting tasted like the meat was spoiled.out of five of us only one pancake was eaten.even the toast was over done.completely dried out not sure if this is normal but we will never return and pretty sure no one we know will give them a try...it's sad that we are forced to give a rating at all.you can tell the owner really dose not care he has never apologized or even responded to any reviews as far back as four years

Food was hot and delicious. Service was very attentive always checking on beverages and if we needed anything. The restaurant decor was that of a typical western bar and grill but seem clean.

Good prices, excellent service. Food is your average bar food, but it's still delicious

Bootleggers is a great place to grab some food and a few drinks in the northwest metro!We stopped in completely by chance. I had NO idea that this place was here. We actually drove to the neighborhood to try the pizza joint, not realizing that it's only for take-out and delivery. Bootleggers was a nice surprise.The food was really good. In addition to a couple of drinks, we both got the Prime Rib special - yum!We sat at the bar because it was busy as hell and to make sure we got good service. We had a slight customer service glitch. For some reason, the female bartender seemed too-cool-for-school and completely ignored us for over an hour. She finally paid some attention to grab our finished plates...we asked her to stop so we could box up the Prime Rib & potato leftovers for my big dogs at home (see my profile photos)...she acted super offended like we asked for her first born child. Weird. Maybe she was just having a bad day.On the other hand, the male bartender and another dude (who I later discovered was the manager) were both awesome. They both gave us first class customer service and made us feel welcome.If they're consistent and just as good or better next time (with no bitchiness), I'll probably bump them up to 4 stars.We'll be back.Thanks, Bootleggers!-Daddy Maxx Retro

The Good: The ambiance was pretty good - old-time pictures on the walls, music playing, plenty of seating with large tables. The Bad: The food was terrible. We ordered a cheeseburger and a chicken fajita burrito. My burger was half-cooked (the fries were good!) and my spouse only ate about 1/4 of his burrito. Guys - he's from southern California, I think this is the first burrito in almost 20 years of knowing him that he didn't just destroy. He said his onion rings were stale and just not good either. The Could have been better: The service - all the servers and the 2 hostesses seemed to be annoyed. The one who brought us to our table just tossed the menus on the table and said our waitress would be there soon, no smile, no nothing. Our server was equally detached in attitude. Even after she saw all the food we left, she never asked how the food was, if we wanted a refill on drinks. Maybe we were just there on an off day for them. Who knows. We will likely not go back.

JACKSON! What an amazing server! He took care of a huge group of us that came from a funeral. He was so awesome! Kind, great social skills and knew how to balance a ton of people! We've also been out just a few of us and outstanding service! Now talk about the food! Omg. I've never had a bad experience. My favorite is the fried chicken, yumm. You can tell the oil is fresh and never over cooked, and the coleslaw I LOVE IT! Thanks for the fantastic experience ! Jackson you are a rockstar and people noticed!
