Bootlegger's Bar & Grill

Food, service, ambience was all incredible. I enjoyed their blood Mary with onion rings and garlic cheese curds. Touch Tunes was an added touch.

Loved Bootlegger's Bar & Grill. The Bootlegger's Pizza was fabulous! The wings were great also. They garlic cheese curds were divine. We enjoyed the company & our server.

We have driven past Bootlegger's a zillion times en route to Duluth. This trip, we made time to stop in and give it a whirl.We were pleasantly surprised at what we found. Excellent service (they know how to pour a good cocktail), excellent conversation, and a great way to spend a lil' time. You MUST order the chicken wings. They were so incredibly delicious and they came with unexpected but seriously good French fries. We also had the pizza (pepperoni and green olive) which was great. I've read other reviews that say it's kinda spendy but truth be told, they run a great operation with local flair. I can't be mad to get awesome pizza without pretension. It is exactly what you want. I only wish I lived nearby so this could be my regular watering hole.

Went here for the first time, upon entering my husband and I both commented that it smelled of stale cigarette smoke, but thought it was perhaps just old...! But to our surprise right after we got our food, the gentleman who was sitting at the bar and appeared to be a cook (wearing an apron), as he got up from the bar, went to the back and shortly after our food arrived came back to the bar, sat back down and lit a cigarette! Possibly the owner, I'm not sure. Completely changed and my opinion of the whole experience ! Food was good bartender/waitress was very nice and attentive, but this grossed me out and set off Asthma attack for me! To my knowledge it has been a law for quite some time in WI, No Smoking in bars or restaurants!!

If you're looking for great food and a local hangout, this is it. We had the Bootlegger hamburger and it was close to the best burger I've ever eaten. It's a little messy to eat, but well worth the mess and we left nothing on the plates. French fries are fantastic. This isn't a place with fancy ambiance, so go elsewhere if you want cloth napkins. It's also open early in the week when most local restaurants are closed.

We were heading back to the Cities from Duluth and in need of a quick lunch. Wow - food and service were great. We had the BLT and wings which were really good (home made bread) and the fries were OUTSTANDING! Beth was awesome, super friendly and welcoming. If you are in the area we highly recommend.

Fantastic made from scratch food. I dream about the massive stuffed hash browns (ask for them with bacon inside). I make two meals out of mine (and I can eat). Homemade jelly and bread too. Just have to go whenever I am in the area.

Great food! We didn't have a lot of expectations, but the food really blew us away. The pizza and steak sandwich were absolutely great. I'm not usually big on French fries, but even they were amazing. It's true that there's not a lot of ambience to this place, but the service is very friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious! We'll be back.

Great food and service!!!! Spend our Annv. every year! Never any waiting and waitress is pleasant and helpful!

We stopped here for brunch on our way home after lookIng at cabins in the area. This restaurant made me want to make an offer on a property just so I can be close by! My husband had the Bootlegger burger and I had the stuffed hash browns. Both were excellent. Seriously though, we started with the fried mushrooms, served with their homemade ranch. Ridiculously good. Loved the Bloody Mary as well. Service was fabulous!
