So....I come about every other day and it's ALWAYS great. Mirabelle likes it here too.

Ordered a maple oat latte (per rec of the barista who rung me up) & it was lovely! I appreciate the recommendation :) It was quite loud when I went but it's a Sunday--it is what it is.

Very good coffee. Had an Iced Vanilla latte. Can bring dogs to outside window to order/pick up order. Inside is cozy for visiting or working. Very clean and friendly staff.

As always, three stars isn't a bad review in my book. Black Sheep is a nice coffeeshop in a quiet neighborhood of South St. Paul. Aside from standard coffee and tea drinks, it has food options, albeit no substantial vegan items.I did get a housemade vegan dark chocolate peanut butter oat bar ($3.25) which had excellent texture (not crumbly at all) and nice flavor. If Black Sheep added vegan breakfast sandwiches, I'd be back often.Stop by Black Sheep for a nice cup of coffee and a snack.

Stopped by for a drink and sandwich to go!I got a matcha latte with oat milk (didn't want toooo much caffeine), and felt it was actually better than most I've had.The sandwich I got (Bruno?) was pretty good. They heated it up and for the price, about $6, was exactly what I was looking for.. a quick lunch. The interior was pretty spacious and would make a good place to hang out/work, too.Overall great cafe and would recommend if in the area!

I tried the Candy cane latte. It was really good. They had live music, but it was not overly distracting or loud. The inside was a little dated and run down, but they are often busy I hear. Therefore, i know everything is just well loved and used. Parking: they do have their own small parking lot. But it was full. Therefore, I did have to park on the street. But it was free street parking.

Just love Black Sheep! As other coffee shop reviews of mine say, I always prefer local coffee places over chains any day. Black Sheep has been a local fave for a while. They have a nice indoor space to sit for a bit as well. The coffee is good here. Don't let the seemingly short menu fool you, though. If you want it, they can likely make it. They recently started doing a seasonal flight and my favorite has been the Bee's Knees, a honey/rosemary/lavender latte. Sounds weird, is delicious. They look have a small food and bakery selection. If you get a scone, say yes to the side of creme fraiche, it is such a kick up on those scones.

Cute little coffee shop... a bit on the spendy side but I am ok spending more at a local establishment. My friend comes here often and recommended it. He ordered a cappuccino and a breakfast sandwich. There aren't many food items that are meatless or don't have pork. Even the Italian turkey sandwich had salami on it. It could have been the timing I was there... between breakfast and lunch. I gave up coffee... so it was either tea or hot cocoa and I decided hot cocoa. I was expecting something amazing when I got the cup and it looked so pretty... meh... it wasn't very chocolatey and more watered down. The turkey sandwich was great... after I passed the salami over to my friend to eat. It had a flavorful bun, gooey cheese and savory giardineira (pickled peppers). The breakfast sandwich looked amazing! Too bad I don't eat bacon. You should probably let me know how it is!

This was a quaint little coffee shop. The coffee was really good and they had some baked goods and sandwiches on hand. I got the sandwich special which was roast beef. It was very good! The service was great, but I think they could do some updates to the inside to give it that little extra wow factor. Overall, great place to stop by for a cup of Joe and breakfast or lunch. Lastly, my favorite thing about the place is that they have a piano available to play. You just have to ask the staff. No one played when I was there, so hopefully someone knows what they are doing if they are playing when you stop by!

My mocha was fine, nothing special.tje other person had an unbearably sweet sugar free latte initially, but even after she took it back for a nothing added latte, it was almost undrinkable. Tasted old/stale even though she saw him pull it. I tasted, could have finished in pinch, but she passed ($10 wasted).

Stopped by while unexpectedly in the neighborhood. Ordered the honey rose latte, strawberry smoothie and Mango short bread!Everything is made in house, and you can tell that's the case. Impressed with the food, the space and the friendliness of the baristas. If you're in south st Paul this feels like the community gem to hang out at, socialize and get some work done.
