' How did you find us?!?' A very friendly woman with unnatural hair color ,taking care of orders at this place, asked me. 'You emailed me the address...' was the response. The people at this moving establishment are a little happier than people, on thin air, normally are. The barbecue delivers, though. Maybe the best in the twin cities. The location is a bit strange. The Chris Farley skit about 'living in a van down by the river' applies to the location of this place.

A lot of constructions and no signs so it can be easily missed. Just make sure to follow your gps when you're getting close! The parking lot is a bit tight with limited parking spaces so be careful going in and out. Once you get out of your car you'll be welcomed with a LIVE BAND! Yes a live band and it blew me by surprise! There are tables there too for you to sit and enjoy your food but I ended up bringing mine home. The food was piping hot when I picked it up and even after a 20+ min drive home the rib was still really hot! I got the meat pack which came with beans with pulled pork, beef brisket and a rack of ribs. The ribs had a good seasoning on it but the beef brisket was dry. I wish it would've came with some sort of sauce to make it taste better. The beans were just ok...it had a pasty texture since it was mixed in with the pulled pork. If I return next time I would probably just go with the rack of ribs.

Well--I've known about this place for a long while (first saw them on a film "short" on TPT) and kept saying "we should stop by", so tonight was the night, and boy, all I could think was what took us so long?We shared a full rack of baby backs plus a side of smoked mac and cheese and some of the best greens and pork I've ever had. If you enjoy collards and pot likker this is your place. It's BYOB (including adult beverages) and no one cares if you bring some extra sides from home. When the weather is good there is also great live music. To make sure you get what you want, it is best to order ahead on their website which takes credit at time of order or you can pay when you get there.Another specialty that is only available for "in person" sales is the delectable candied bacon on a stick. Super yum.I've paid a lot more money in this town for food I enjoyed half as much. This is going to be our new summertime Friday night spot, and if the weather doesn't cooperate, you can always take your food "to go".

One of the better BBQ spots in the Twin Cities. A bit pricy. I had the beef brisket and beef ribs. Brisket was good. Wish it had a bit more balance on the fat to meat ratio, but all in all pretty good. Beef ribs were a bit tough.

We in the mood for some BBQ and have Black Market was a location on our list. We had been on their email list for a while. They are only open on Friday's so be sure to place your order online to reserve your food. We ordered ribs, brisket and beef ribs. After our trip to Texas we have become huge fans of beef ribs. There are only a few spots to sit in the lot that their trailer is in so we decided to pick up our food and head home. When we arrived at our reserved time our food was packed up and ready for us. We picked up our food and headed home. When you have a craving for something like BBQ, you just can't wait to try it.We got home and unwrapped our food and dove in. I think the first sign was the smell. Usually with BBQ you pick up the smell of smoke. We really didn't notice that when we picked up our food or when we unwrapped it. Unfortunately our experience didn't improve from there. The brisket while it had a decent bark was dry. The beef rib also had good bark but the fat was not rendered enough making the meat chewy. The ribs were ok but lacked in flavor. They were tender but not very flavorful. I am one that believes the adage about pizza is generally true about BBQ. Even when it's bad, it's pretty good. Thankfully I still have not had a "bad" pizza and I haven't had any "bad" bbq. BBQ as it is, is much more challenging to make than pizza. This BBQ was OK. With so many factors (temp, cooking time, etc) that can affect BBQ, I could see us trying this again sometime.

OOOOOHHH MY GOD! BEEF SHORT RIBS!!I'm in love with a piece of meat, may as well put me on TLC's "My Strange Addiction." I'd be on there making out with Black Market's beef ribs. My husband planned a date night and told me he found "some place where we buy barbecue from a driveway." I wasn't sure what to expect given his description, but kept an open mind. He made an order ahead of time online, the beef short ribs, and smoked beans. When we arrived it was a smoker truck/trailer thing on the street in a residential neighborhood. Super duper nice couple packaging orders and taking payments. When the nice lady finished up our payment she told us we were in for a treat. It turned out to be one of the most memorable meals for me in 2017, and the best beef short rib that has landed in my mouth.I suffered the whole 20 minute drive home. I had to sit there and smell the stuff, drooling on myself. Once home I still had another 15 minute wait while we got our table ready and corn bread prepared. Then it happened, I got the beef on my plate. It fell of the bone. It was tender, smoky, juicy, meaty, and packed with flavor. It was sooo damn good. I couldn't even talk, I had to keep eating. The smoked beans was practically a bowl of pork shoulder with 3 beans. Insanely good. Best bbq in MN. It's a must try.

It took me awhile to get over this way but I did it. I got the dry rub ribs. Very tender. Basil loved them and I liked them a lot. But I'm a saucy type. I'm also a baked bean type. Believe it or not I don't like meat overpowering beans. I'm glad they're there, but I need more beans.
